Love how every member of this band of perpetually substituting musicians is able to play exactly their part in the music, no more, no less - the goldilocks zone of pocket and voice. Watching Ryan play guitar is such an extraordinary gift for any player, because he knows exactly how to present himself in the music. How lucky we are to be able to see these tunes every week.

It is from a soundtrack... the movie was "She's All That" starring Freddie Prinze Jr and Rachel Leigh Cook - from 1999.

I think perhaps you have successfully invented/pioneered "minimalist funk". I note Ryan's perfectly wonderfully understated guitar playing and wonder if it's him that keeps things "just enough". This is a swing-and-a-hit for me, for sure.
