Those window treatments will look best as close to the ceiling as possible. Recommend removing long panel and keep the jabot to the wall side lon both windows. You could use the long panels in a new configuration on your sink window, especially for winter. Give Williw a hug for me and I hope she has a full recovery.

Exactly what my response was going to be concerning the window treatment. 🙂
Linda, would you also be using the matching window treatment on the other windows in the room or did you intend to leave them as is?

I agree. More open toward the fireplace. I don't mind the windows without a treatment. Whatever Linda does will be very near perfect. 😊

I love your garden stick mystery! For October, would you consider a video where you chat with us either about some of the ghostly happenings you’ve had throughout your life, or even share stories from friends of yours? In past videos you’ve mentioned that friends of yours have lived in haunted houses, and I’ve always wanted to know more about that. With New England being so old and full of history, it’s the perfect time of year to hear those stories.❤

Love the corn husk apple black eyed Susan pod swag. You are so creative and I'm a good copier 😂so yay for me . I still love the leaves one from years ago and I thank you for all the great things I've learned from you 🤗 now about the window treatment. .I really liked it the way it was . put the long part on the left side of the left window and the long part on the right side of the right window it is like a frame. 2nd choice make the long panel like the other side of the panel that way it would stay balanced on each side of each window treatment. The colors are great and what ever you decide will be beautiful ❤️

As for the bamboo stick...try leaving something special, maybe colorful glass beads or a necklace you don't want any more, out by where the stick is. See if it disappears over time. Another alternative is to put it on the stone wall by the edge of the forest. If your gift isn't taken, try something else and see what happens. I live in the mountains of VT and a lot goes on here. 💗 Blessings to you and your whole family!

We just bought the same fire pit in the small size yesterday and used it last night. We live in the country and have two big fire pits in the trees behind the house but this little guy is great for bringing along anywhere you want. We put it on the grass at the front of the house and not one blade of grass was damaged as advertised. It really is a very nice compact fire pit and you don't smell like a smokey mess.

Hi Linda. For lemongrass, we’d wrap them in a reusable fabric grocery bag and keep them in the freezer for when we need to use them for cooking, hot bath or steam. We also mince them and freeze wrap them in small portions individually and use them for lemongrass chicken or pork.

Sometimes bears get curious about things and will play/investigate with them. We had a bear remove a flag on a short pole mounted to the side of the house and leave it on the ground.Guess the bear was just curoius about that odd thing hanging on the house so he/she pulled it out of the holder to look at it. You have vegetables and other goodies in your lovely garden which would attract a bear as well.

Linda, regarding curtains in Kitchen / breakfast room: ALL windows in both rooms should have the swags, with bamboo or half window plantation blinds with jabots or not. The jabots on the sample you showed, the outside wing needs to be broght in closer with just tacking it so that it is parralle with the header it falls from. Love the fabric. Yes higher up the wall for hanging works best. Hope this helps. Do show the other fabric curtains you have that you don't have a place to use -- yet.

Oh Linda, this was all so delightful. I love your curtains and agree with you that they help cozy up a room. It seems lots of people don't think the use of curtains are as important as once thought. We just moved and there are plantation-style blinds in every room. I don't think the past owners ever used curtains b/c it looks like no holes have ever been in the walls. But that's going to change shortly with me adding curtains in all the rooms. I just added a vintage Waverly valance with tassels to my kitchen window and will finish it off with some cafe curtains. It already makes a huge difference in the feel of the space. Thanks again for sharing this relaxed meandering around your home/property. It's always so fun! 🤎🍁🍂🍁🤎

Solo has a diverter to help warm people around the fire. Every year we get a new accessory. I bought a small Solo for a church in Baltimore right before the bridge was hit. I bought the surround so no one would be burned by the Solo sides. There are S’mores tools and a grill that can be used with the Solo to burn the yard waste. I have had mine for years.

Linda, I truly enjoy your channel. I wish to comment on the swag and jabo you are considering using on either side of the fireplace. I think the fabric compliments the painting over the mantel. If you decide to use it, I would suggest removing the long panel. Hang with the jabo to the outside next to exterior walls. I little bit of the fabric at the kitchen window could be fun. Perhaps a runner for the table? For fall, the fabric would be charming.

Thank you Linda for sharing , I so look forward to your videos. The window treatments are beautiful but also like the bare windows.i cut my hydrangeas this week. My problem is the cat likes to take them out of the vase during the night. One yr when I was back in my home state MA visiting I seen someone made a wreath with an old clock and surrounded it with hydrangeas. It was very unique. I copied it best I could and put it out in the fall 🍂🍁

The valances are beautiful and match with Queen Bess, but not sure if they will look odd on only the two windows, maybe a contrasting fabric on the other Windows just as swags, and maybe hem the longer tail opposite the jabot to match its length. Whatever you decide it will be gorgeous ❤

Love the window treatments. Maybe do asymmetrical with the shorter pieces at opposite sides, one on the left and one on the right. Then take the longer jabots and open them for simplistic treatments on the other windows, Roman shades would look nice, but don’t think you will have enough fabric.

I like the curtains with a jabot on both sides. I prefer a more symmetrical look, but they will be beautiful either way.

I absolutely love the glass candle vases on your table, excited to catch those in your shop for sure. I’m not a window treatment girl, I love natural light beaming in my home, but I do like a beautiful seasonal garland hung above my windows throughout all the seasons all year long. Love the apple and corn husk garland 🫶🏻

If you could take the material that hangs down from that window treatment and make Café curtains, that would be really pretty at your kitchen sink. You would be able to close them at night and open them in the day time.

I like the window treatments as is. I would keep the long panels. The hydrangeas are so pretty. I had a tree in a former home and I miss it! I always dried them. I'm enjoying the cooler weather here in PA and starting my fall decorating too!
