I just got done doing this to my truck, getting the old one off was the most difficult part. I ended up using an angle grinder because I couldn’t even get the top nut to move, I just cut the nut in 2-3 pieces and hammered it off. Time to do the same on the other side😂
Hmm ...... Yours have those like same bumps on the side of the shocks as well ..... Are those actual original to the truck???? Wow ... Well I have a 98 Sonoma so identical to yours in the suspension and underpinnings of it. Any I think mine were as bad like yours there or even worse too. Mine just collapse by gravity scary enough they were like the toy shocks on like mid grade RC cars without the oil in them so you can imagine how awful my truck felt. Changed them, now the truck feels MONEY I love it now makes it easier to drive too actually. It's a manual and it acting like a low rider made it incredibly hard to keep your hands on stuff lol. Good stuff there, also interested how that red locktite got there something that has to be serviced every now and then shouldn't have something you need to torch off.... Oh well late to the game here on the video, you can also break the stud with a deep well and a long extension and rocking back and forth. That just splits the stud and snaps it off old guy on the facebooks said that once there.
