HOW TO MAKE A DORM ROOM FOR GINGER BREADHOUSE & MELODY PIPER [EVER AFTER HIGH]

- Another Ever After High dorm room is done, this time for EAH roommates Ginger Breadhouse and Melody Piper. This dorm room (diorama) was especially fun to put together, because Ginger and Melody both have such strong themes associated with them.
For Ginger Breadhouse's side of the room, I wanted to reflect her baking talents, so I chose colors and fabrics that resembled a confection. For Melody Piper's side of the dorm room, I wanted to reflect her edginess, her DJ talents, and her musical interests.
Here's a detailed list of everything I put into Ginger & Melody's dorm room:
Ginger's side:
* Wallpaper is shiny scrapbook paper from Joann Fabrics.
* Carpet is light brown felt from Michaels.
* Icing is white felt from Michaels.
* Ribbon trims (top and bottom) were both from Joann Fabrics.
* Oven, waffle bench, cinnamon log chair, pastries were all from the Sugar Coated Class playset.
* Window frames from Hobby Lobby ("Mayberry Street" brand).
* Curtains were a fabric I had previously used in Ginger's bed (from Joann Fabrics).

Melody Piper's side of the dorm room:
* Wallpaper was custom-created using a ColourLovers.com palette that I made as well as Spoonflower.com for the printing. It came out a bit too green, but I decided to use it for Melody Piper anyway because I thought it might look well with her. And it does!
* Carpet is a zebra-patterned felt from Joann Fabrics.
* Wall trim is a musical staff (treble clef) from Joann Fabrics.
* Melody's window frame is from Hobby Lobby. Curtains from Joann Fabrics. Musical note brads are from Michaels. Musical notes from the wall vanity mirror set (Joann Fabrics).

* Flute and music are from eBay.
* Melody's chair is a papier mache hand from Hobby Lobby. Bling gems are from Joann Fabrics.
* Melody's rats are also from eBay (look up "dollhouse miniature rats."
* Musical notes wall vanity mirrors are from Joann Fabrics.
Overall, I think this turned out to be a very cute dorm room for Ginger Breadhouse and Melody Piper, and I am so glad I have yet another roommate pair done and ready to show you!

i used to love this video when i was younger, i would watch it every wednesday and pretend i was ginger and that i was sleeping in her dorm ahaha thank you for so many happy memories ❤

Amazing dorm room. For Ginger side, you decorated het side so well, I could eat it all! For Melody side, I'm not really impress with the wall paper but her furniture is wickedly awesome! You did a super job!!!

FIRST: I LO💖E .love. LO💖E this room !!! It's looks to be soooooo fun 🎉 festive.. 🙊is that the same Ginger bed that you made using real candy? 🍬I'm surprised (because it sure looks like it!!) ... I also like how you changed up the music to show how excited Melody is to FINALLY have her keyboard 👍👌👏 (Super Buddies Forever "SB4E" also uses that awesome music 💖😸💖) ..and lastly, I loved when you shared where you bought your materials from, took the hassle out of searching Hobby Lobby & Michael's, etc for the specific things.. getting right down to the CRAFTING & RECREATING are the FUN parts 💃

Those rats are the perfect size for EAH dolls. Once again, love the windows. The green turned out pretty well on Melody's wallpaper. A unique contrast. Love the shot of her with the rolled up carpet. TBH not sure how I feel about the oven in the room, but it would be fun for your daughter to play with.

And yes, even though the green was not what I had thought it would be (I thought it would be yellow, like her shirt), it did end up looking okay. It may have been worse if the yellow had matched her shirt because then her bed may have blended right into it. I know what you mean about the oven...who puts an oven in a dorm room? But in my head, I have Ginger baking muffins for Melody and herself every morning, so I figured it was okay, LOL. :-D

Yeah I wasn't very into Ever After High until I came across your videos. I watched Monster High and liked you're beds so I watched them all nd when I saw them all I watched the EAH ones even though I never saw it and didn't know anything so thank you for that! I also think it's amazing you do giveaways. I m very careful with witch ones I enter because I don't want to take away from anyone because Poppy isn't my favorite and I wouldn't want to take that away from someone who loves Poppy. So I am very excited for when you get a Darling one or any MH ones!

Wow, what an amazing room! My favorite part is melodys turn tables, or gingers cupcake curtain holders. I love melodys flute, and I think me and my sister have the same one for our dolls, actually!
