This video was such a touching, moving effort on your part, Hemingway. It was certainly worth the anticipatory wait. I am a big believer in writing ✍ letters. I wish more people still put their thoughts and feelings to paper in such a meaningful way. Your darling Helen is an ethereal beauty. Thank you for giving us a glimpse into the admirable Love that you share. We are not all so fortunate to find a profound, Great Love of "importance" as you articulated. This video has reminded me that it is imperative to keep my heart and mind open to the possibility of a dazzling, restorative Love entering into my life. I yearn to write ✍ and receive letters as lovely as what you wrote here (utilizing my favorite ink and preferred ✒ pen, no less)! My husband always gives me mushy cards for birthdays, valentine's day, and anniversaries. I get annoyed at how expensive store-bought cards are, so I decided to write him a letter for his birthday this year. He loved it! Handwritten notes of appreciation are so much more meaningful and are less likely to get tossed. They are especially significant after a loved one departs. I still re-read sympathy cards sent to me with personal memories after my mother died, and I love coming across her handwriting as I go through different books, recipe card boxes, etc.

For some unknown reason I wrote a letter to my girlfriend after our first month together, and then month after, couldn't stop there... and so here I am, with 6 years of letters in a box lol
So you never gave them to her? It would be pretty great to give them all to her one day.
Right now, it's a birthday card for tomorrow, but the inspiration from this video is quite helpful in distilling it down to what I have to add. The card nearly says it all. I just have to tie it together. Letters to come in the future. Thanks!

This reminds me of when my own beautiful wife and I were dating; i wrote some heartfelt letters to her that she still keeps locked away in her escritiore. I wish i had never let the habit fall by the wayside. I love her more 27 years on than i did even then, and I've been remiss about reminding her of it. Thank you for the inspiration. Im going to start writing down my thoughts tonight!

Hopefully you check comments in older videos. I wanted to thank you for this video. It inspired me to write my wife a love letter or poem every day from February 1st to February 14 on natural history museum flower postcards in various colours of ink.
For the 14th I researched how to write a sonnet and will give her that as the final letter.

Wonderful, heartfelt message. An inspiration for all of us. As always, your sincerity shines through. If I may, with all humility, share one idea that I believe you might find of interest: At 13:05, when your lovely wife turns to the camera, perhaps it might be nice to transition to the next image with a dissolve, and before she turns away from the lens. Then, come in tight on her twirl and finish with the 15:07 image but moving in rather than away from her, ending the montage with an image of your beautiful letter. Somehow, ending with a wide shot of her walking way seems to convey something less than your loving thoughts and intentions. Your refinement and good taste is apparent. You pay attention to production value and aesthetics. I hope I have not overstepped the boundaries of polite feedback and you'll receive my thoughts in the spirit intended.

You are right not something you would carry around everyday. Whereas the Montblanc Egyptomania is much easier to bring to a business meeting. I heard the hieroglyphs actually mean "big Mountain" or a translation of mount blanc ??

I am proud of putting things out there that are different. I will certainly do more “how to” videos on various subjects. I think I will do fewer reviews. They don’t seem to do as well. People love lists. That’s one thing that I have learned. Anyway, the Bee! I love the Bee! That was a gift from Bryan Hulser. It is awesome for filming, so it is indespensable for me. I have the Esterbrook nib one too. If you need one or like to hold cookbooks or design books open, it is awesome. Maybe they will come to a pen show near you. They get around. @@HemingwayJones does the bee hold open a journal to write or only a few pages? There's not much on the internet about them. I just remembered I've got a goulet voucher so i might save up.
@@jess53nz Hello, I'll speak about it on the next live on Tuesday night. It will hold any book, pretty much, open and flat. You do need to be gentle as to not mess up the pages, but that is easy enough to maneuver.
