The kitchen feels really awkward and cramped, so I am really interested to see how you tackle fixing it, Elisa. I think demolishing that wall is a good idea, as it seems there's a lot of space without it, especially if you delete the little granite table which is so weird. This house seems huge, especially compared with your usual flips. Someone definitely had some anger management issues who lived there! The addition is interesting and it will be fun to see what you do with all that space. Can't wait.
Ugh! What a mess! I feel so overwhelmed watching the video! I know you will make it gorgeous after ALOT of work!!
I can’t wait to see the miracle you pull redoing this house. Such an awkward layout. I can never get over how horribly some people treat their houses.
Don't paint the path. All you will do is create work for the future owner because it will quickly wear off. Leave the bricks on the house alone too.
I agree with this statement.
Excited for this one, I love the brick on the outside, adds so much warmth and I would keep the pool if you can, looks great!
Looks like the former owners fought off some zombies in this house
Great video!!
Love the bricks
Can't wait to see the transformation of this house and how it is staged. It seems most people feel the pool should stay and I look forward to the reveal to see if you kept the pool.
Always love your remodels
I love the brick!! Please leave it the way it is, transitional is very trendy right now, and brick is a VERY popular finish!! please keep the original character.🤍🤍🤍
So much work! I look forward to the results.
You got a steal on that house.
This home has potential, but quite a mess. I can’t wait to see the transformation.
Congrats on landing this house for flip. I am curious how you finance and structure your deal. Also would appreciate if you can mention timeline for the project.
Alicia has talked about turnaround time before. I remember her saying 6 months was a desirable time to be finished but there is always a great chance that unforeseen problems pop up. Her book would tell you how she finances things, but I remember in some of her earlier videos she mentioned a partner and occasionally borrowed. All around great channel!
Anxiety looking at this house, can wait for the renovation!
Im from the bay area. I wonder if this is los gatos, los altos area?
Love your channel and videos. I've been a faithful viewer since the start. I really wish the background music were quieter or removed all together, as it competes with the message you deliver. I found myself longing for noise-cancelling headphones that could eliminate it, lol. I'd much prefer to hear your voice & take in the information without distraction. I understand it won't bother everyone, but it really makes it difficult for me to listen. Maybe some other viewers feel similarly. I don't mean to criticize, just offer some feedback that you might find useful. Anyway, thank you for letting us tag along on your flipping journey. I'd love to see you get a TV series.
I would say to keep the pool if you're adding an outdoor kitchen and also keep the shed, but repaint it. I feel like people would appreciate the extra storage for seasonal decor or even for like a sheshed or man cave! 💜💜
If you move the kitchen wall, will you have to re-plumb for the refrigerator to have a water line? Also, did you ever go over the orchid nursery house flip after you fixed it up? That was so interesting and I wondered how the side yard, where the orchids were grown, was re-done. That was a one of a kind!
Please keep the pool and install big glass doors into that side of the house if you can. Indoor outdoor living at its best!
I would change the color of the pool below the waterline and maybe retile the waterline, leaving the rest of it as-is to reduce cost. A pool that size here in FL would cost well over $100k to have built new.
I’d put a nice fire pit with a patio set where the old hot tub was located. The shed could be pressure washed and converted into a pool house or ADU.
@paulwolf3302 At the price point of this specific house, I would expect a pool.
Considering where this house is, it would be great to see a more comprehensive reno vs. a quick flip. If you put $400-450K and an extra few months into this property you could *easily* get over $3.8M on the sale. THAT would make for great content (and more money in the pocket). The proximity of the electrical substation behind the backyard (also visible @11:01) will likely hurt the sale a bit though...maybe add a sports netting above the fence's trellis to get that extra bit of "privacy" in keeping the power towers out of sight? And as everyone else had said, the pool should be a keeper! Anyone buying homes in that area will be able to afford the upkeep, and it'd give the owners a reason to hang out in the backyard given the view past the fence.
ahhaha i loveee the bloopers!!!!!
I would keep the pool. Where is the garage? I would convert some of living space back to a double garage.
Looking forward to see what you do. Looks like it wasn’t a loved home. The kitchen is odd and the paint colors are off. It is a large house.
Just curious, where is this house located? Thanks!
It makes me sad to see you get rid of pool....😢😢
I seem to remember her having a guest flipper who really mucked up trying to bury the pool with the wrong kind of filler.@paulwolf3302
Generally how much does it cost to remove an in the ground pool?
It's not normally removed, they just covered it up My mom lived in apartment complex that she had a swimming pool right outside the door and all they did was just cover it up.
@@TMKJG24 that doesn't seem safe.
@debby8428 Well, it's been at least 7 years since they covered it up and they just put landscape over it no issues
@@TMKJG24 That is good to know! Thank you!
@@debby8428 btw they cover it up with concrete
Please keep the pool, especially if you're doing an outdoor kitchen.
Nooooo, keep the pool!
Can't imagine removing a pool that would cost minimum 75K to build in the bay area in today's dollar versus re-plastering it for like 10K. Sure you could demo it for a few grand but that doesn't seem like a good return on investment at all.
If I were to own that house, I'd want the pool to stay.
That’s why you’re poor Jeremy
@@izb1678 If owning a million dollar plus home in the bay area makes me poor than such is life I guess.
Fix the Pool !!! More return ... INDEED , This is California 🌊
🙂👍
I can see the potential with all of that square footage! Please keep the pool. Lots of people love to swim.
Please don’t color it GRAY, again. 😅
