I built myself a 2nd engine using UA-cam help\advice top sowed now is 42mph, it was really simple upgrade and my Razor T25 for the past 2 years has been tops zero issues thankfully 🙏🏻💙 Stay safe out there yaul
I feel like once you get past $2000, it is more worth your money to purchase an electric moped or motorcycle. You can get a really nice electric motorcycle that is highway capable and with good range for $5-$6k.
Or you can get a used gas motorcycle for $3k-7k that can travel highway speeds up to 75-120mph and get long, 90+ miles of range per tank (which you fill for just $10 in 5 minutes) I would only consider an electric scooter as a replacement for bicycle or pedestrian routes, NOT highway cruising at 50+ mph 😂
Truth be told I love my Vsett 10+, it’s a scooter that makes riding a breeze. Any dual motor scooter makes hills seem like a joke. I think you also missed an important bit of information on the voltage and amp hour. 36v and 48v are great for commuters. 52v is the sweet spot for light mid-powered scooter. 60v can give you a rush like no other and 72v and 84v are for those who loves high speed. 96v or bigger and your neck may never recover from the torque.
@@MagicMikeBilliards if you don't have a budget I'd say go for the Rion hyper scooter. It's not a rush, it's an adrenaline seeking high. But if you want a rush the Vsett 10+, the Blade 10D pro and the Dualtron Victor is the minimum standard under 3k
Those not familiar should be informed: solid tires, though requiring less maintenance than pneumatic, are slippery on painted surfaces (like bike lanes) slicker than snot on a wet surface, and have zero traction on wet painted surfaces. Potentially extremely dangerous. With over 7,000 scooter miles and a collection that spans all 4 classes, I can say the ONLY accidents I've ever had were unprovoked wipeouts where the solid rear tire (on a small commuter scooter) just slid out from under me on wet surfaces. Only buy these for desert conditions, or do not ever use during or after rain. Even pneumatics are sketchy on wet surfaces, but solid takes danger to a whole other level. They say a dull knife is far more dangerous than a sharp one, and this is a case of that. The higher performing models with better disc brakes, pneumatic tires, good suspension are inherently safer because they do everything better, including keeping you safe. Yes, split rims facilitate tire repairs, and adding Armor-Dilloz, plus proper inflation, does prevent most flats. There is no free lunch, and lower maintenance of solid tires comes with a hidden cost. Buyer beware.
@everyday tenor That makes sense. The most I’ve ridden on a escooter is maybe 19 but I felt the need to go faster but maybe I’m underestimating how fast 34 and 50mph actually is
This only applies to maintaining top speeds. Don't do MotoGP tilts on wet surfaces (or rather, don't do them at all), drive responsibly and be at your work/school on time _EVERY_ time, that is the key. Reliability is everything, sacrificing everything else especially "recreational" speeds and (if no suspension) comforts. It only takes getting late and tired of carrying your ride all the way to the destination once, to forever drop even the slightiest thought at inflatables. Seriously - fck em.
@everyday tenor You make a great point. Of course 30mph is actually really fast and God only knows what 50 feels like on a scooter. I guess that would be pretty over kill. Thanks for the advice
If you get a scooter for commuting, I highly suggest spending a lot of time looking up all the laws in your area regarding electric scooter. Chances are, the tickets you'd get from breaking traffic laws will cost you as much as the scooter.
@@ianvk5690 There are still laws such as where to ride and how to behave along with other vehicles on the road. Some places don't allow scooters on sidewalks etc
@Anto Holly It really depends on location. Our downtown area has a bunch of scooter rentals and I've seen people riding those get ticketed for doing stupid crap. If you're riding "normally" then you're probably fine for the most parts, but there are strange laws in different areas that you have to look out for. Like here, scooters cannot use pedestrian crossing lanes to cross lights, they have to behave like vehicles and use turn lights for example. So if a cop sees you crossing the road using pedestrian crossing, they can ticket you for that. Then there are other things such as 50mph scooters, wearing full motorcycle gear can't be using bicycle lanes, but people still do it and they get pulled over.
The complaint about hills with budget scooters is valid, but if you kick them forward helping the motor out, then you can climb steep hills essentially as easily as a bicycle. My main complaint about budget scooters is that they are as difficult to maintain as more expensive ones (as you mention). The power and range are often lacking, but portability is a huge plus that makes them enticing regardless.
Some budget scooter can go pretty far these days (ninebot max can do 45km, NIU KQi2 pro can do 26km and NIU KQi3 pro can do about 35km) if you don't mind that they aren't ''sport'' scooters. They both also go around 25-30km/h which is actually a little too fast for city use if you're going to use the bike lane (in Canada at least you can't go in the middle of the street with scooters you have to ride with bike and or skateboards and those lanes are usually 20km/h maximum).
Agreed. My first scooter was a “hurdle motorgear “. Simple 350 watt. Easy to carry at 45 pounds and fits into tight spaces when folded. Great commuter scooter. Horrible on hills (10-11mph depending on the grade). Still 3x walking speed. I was told I would get bored and want more speed, more power and more features. They were so right. Now I’m on my third scooter 😂😂
I have a cheap Gotrax A5 scooter w/ seat, and 12" wheels. I HATE Gotrax Customer Service, but it was easy to change the front inner tube (w/ slanted air valve), like a bicycle, using a small, plastic tire lever! In fact, I didn't even have a flat - just did it so I could write an innertube review! Before or after a flat, I may even put in some Slime liquid, to prevent / seal a flat. I own an air compressor, but really, they make tiny, inexpensive battery powered air pumps. If your trips are within walking distance, I feel scooters w/ inner tubes are a reasonable choice. I'm concerned smaller wheels are affected by surface imperfections, and I always wear a helmet and gloves on my scooter, that tops out at 16mph. I try to ride only sidewalks and bike paths and have a rear LED always flashing.
Thank you for these wonderfully clear videos! You have really parsed the confusing and complicated market of eScooters into very understandable categories. I think I have a far better idea of what I am looking for after watching your video.
My iscooter ix4 fits into category number 2..its great for my everyday needs. It has a 500w motor does 25mph is somewhat waterproof has suspension and 10inch tyres and i only paid £494($597) for it here in the UK
Hiboy S2 Pro is bullet proof. Rain, snow, and gravel it does well. I’m 5 11” 220 and it could get me up some hills. My gf is 120 lbs and she could fly up super steep hills at around 15 mph in sport mode. If you want a great beginner or commuter it’s the one. Solid tires was the exact reason I got the hiboy.
Got a Gotrax apex xl its extremely light and easily able to ride in any rain and snow and Avent got one flat although you may have to pump it up every month, and replacing a tire and or tube will take you less then 40 mins if you know what your doing
I had a Macwheel regular for two years. It was good to start on and I use my scooter just for fun. I weigh about 205 lbs and I would go up steep hills around 10 mph which was pretty good. Oh and removing the tires on the entry level scooters is absolute insanity. Would not recommend. I finally just upgraded and ordered a Vsett 10+. I can't wait to try it when it gets here. I wanted something with more power as there are some hills in my neighborhood and potholes as well. The price is a little high but it looks pretty nice. The biggest thing I like is the support for it. Looks like there's a lot of parts and informational videos. The tire changes look easy as well.
Vsett 10+ Fast, good range on two motors, GREAT RANGE on one motor. Tough and smooth on nasty city roads. Big and heavy duty - throw on a steering damper to make it shine. Best escooter I've owned.
Varla Eagle One is hands down the best bang for your buck. It comes with many upgradeable components and finding parts is easy. You can beat the hell out of it and it just keeps going. I'm 6'4, 240lbs and it takes me anywhere I want. It's fast and worth the money. You won't regret it.
@@royalsd Maybe it depends a bit on what brand & model of scooter, and a bit on whether the person is of average mechanical aptitude. To over-generalize how long "it" takes, as if every scooter is the same, would be a mistake in the same vein as how long it takes to change a tire on a car. Some cars are easier, some are harder. The steps for an Apollo scooter, for example, are described in a 4-minute video. I estimate the actual working time is around 30-40 minutes: ua-cam.com/video/4aJMCtEH924/v-deo.html
but hard tires on low end scooters are so bumpy though, i exchanged it for a more expensive air filled 10" tires. neither has suspension but the air filled feels much smoother. i do agree with the popping issue so i try to be super careful when riding.
my first scooter xiami pro and I lined my tires with a liner. my friend had the same but put solid tires on. huge difference and we swapped when together. never will I go solid tires they are awful and loose traction very easy.
I bought a kugoo m4 pro, after having a kugoo s1 for about a year, and the range is as advertised. If you don't go around at 28mph you can get 40+ miles out of it and that's with offroad riding considered
I've been looking for a couple of years, I wanted something with decent speed, torque and water resistant. Ultimately I ended up getting the e-twow gt se, I know it doesn't have an IP rating, bit I can add silicone and the power to weight ratio was too good to ignore for roaming around the city and going to work. I was thinking ninebot for the IP rating, but it's too heavy and slow for my liking.
I've got a few scooters now, 2 Ninebox max scooters, a 2020 Emove cruiser and now a zero 10x. The Ninebot max is a great beginner scooter and I see why its so popular. Just dont expect any insane speeds or acceleration with it lol. I've put just over 1,000 miles on the Ninebot and its held up solid, only issue was recently I needed to replace the folding mechanism but since its an insanely popular scooter, parts are available everywhere for it so thats nice. The emove cruiser has by far been my favorite so far. The speed is perfect, gives enough thrill and the acceleration is pretty decent. But the range is a huge plus. I have put over 2,000 miles on mine and the range still gets me 35 - 40 miles easy (I've never done more than this because by this point you get tired of standing lol) with still battery remaining. Plus the waterproof rating on it has come in handy many times. I really do recommend the emove cruiser its a sweet scooter! And now the zero 10x. The power is just insane! Insane how much of a difference going from single motor to dual motor makes. The acceleration is damn insane on it, and it also cruises up hills with no issues at all. But you can tell the battery does last as much as the cruiser does, getting me about 28 miles before going dead. Thats still really good and more than I need, plus you get more if you stick in single motor mode so I'd say battery does fine. But either way the fun you have with the speed on it makes up for the battery any day.
I didn't have the budget for a $1k scooter a while back, but I ended up finding a used Lunar Scooter LS1200 for $280 in a poorly state about 3 years ago. Back then, I simply needed something for short trips while I was rebuilding my $550 towyard-recovered 2.4L '01 Xterra. I still have the X and it's my winter wheels/ long range travel, but I rarely need to drive it in town anymore. I've upgraded the batteries, the handlebars, the wheel sprocket and the chain, and I can get to 30mph and climb hills with ease (I'm 6'1" and 165lbs). It's an absolute beast on gravel bike paths, and I daily it to work as well (11.6 mile round trip). I can even set a 24 pack of Mountain Dew on the deck and still go full-speed uphill like it was nothing. In a few more months I will be upgrading the entire platform to 48v and swapping the existing 36v components to a Razor E300 frame I got for $15 from a thrift store. I also have an e-bike project in the works as well; that one I'm planning to make into a 72V 2000+W sleeper while trying to keep the stock 36V 350W unassuming look. That will be my first ever brushless hub motor build. The donor is also a GY6 clone (Sunbird) I got for $200, so it's going to look like an electric version of a 50cc GY6, but have a pedal drive so it's considered an e-bike legally, and if I "stage" the controller I can make it 750W compliant for road use or unlimited for off road use. I just think it's funny that it's going to be faster as an electric drive than any of the bored-out 100-105cc GY6 motors I've ever built for gasoline. Best of all it's a hyperscooter's performance for the cost of your average dual-motor urban commuter once you itemize everything. It's more fun to tinker than buy something off the shelf anyway. I like going fast without it costing too much.
Yup, I started with a Unagi rental and ended up buying a Vsett 8. Now I want more speed and am looking at buying the VDM-10. I still want to maintain some portability.
Ill leave this to help others out. Good Video... I have a Ninebot Max g36p from segway(Owned for 1 year), when the back tire ripped , I went through hell to get it out. Put a new tire only for the scooter to have problems & stop working months on later. I could saved & went through a less hardship if I went & got something I know won't be a cheap casual ride for the city of Ny. It's a good scooter but if that back tire pops. Have fun.
This video is really helpful , I never rode an e scooter and wanted one for fun , decided to go with a Mercane wide wheel pro cle edition can’t wait to try it out
Where were you when I bought my first scooter? I just bought a $400 "entry level" scooter and took it on a maiden voyage through the city yesterday. You hit everything I thought...it sucks on hills, and"that's it for power". I will be returning the scooter and will upgrade to a $1100-1200 model, most likely the Pegasus. Thank you for this video.
I am a tall man -- I weigh 245 pounds - MOST scooters have a 220 pound "Recommended Weight Limit" -- I would have loved an addition to your categories to address weight limit. I don't care about speed. But I do care about parts availability -- and hill ability. Yours is the best review I have seen. so - thank you
I wish I saw this vid before buying my first scooter. My Turboant Max7 is great, but you're right, after a few weeks of use I crave more speed and hill-climbing power.
Just asking, I bought my first electric scooter from Amazon around mid 2021, it is called the ‘Manwheel Mw-1 electric scooter’. It can go up to 30 km/h and has honeycomb tires, so I was wondering if you could review the scooter. Thanks.
I bought a Dualtron City which was released in 2022. It has 15 inch tires, a longer wheel base, removable battery and top speed is about 70 kph. It's my first scooter. I think people's choice of scooter depends on their situation. The City isn't a commuter scooter that you can fit in your trunk or carry up stairs, and it weighs about 90 lb. It's not for everyone. But it works for me because I'm a heavier rider who lives in an area with hills and bad roads. It eats hills and potholes for breakfast. I ride mainly for recreation and there are a lot of bike trails nearby. Because of the wheel size it's pretty good for off roading as well. More people seem to be buying the City now, even as a first scooter, because it's very safe and comfortable to ride. It will be interesting to see if other manufacturers make a similar larger wheeled model in the future.
I have the Segway ninebot for 640e and it goes 28km/h and I ride it for like 2y and i don’t have a problem with it or the battery you can always buy the extra battery tho
Hey, in this video I saw you ride past my local holiday and stuff in Herriman. It was so weird for me to see at first but yeah, I had to replay it a few times lol.
What would you say about vsett 8 or 9. I would say that you can drive those scoters offroad and have enough watts to drive hills and more?maybe good scoters to look?
I like your reviews. You have real life riding experiences and not just reading specs. For the Hiboy S2 Pro, the only con about this scooter is that the folding latch is flimpsy and can collapse while riding. What has been your experiences with NIU. The scooter range for EU is very limited. I don’t like any of the makes that are available. Maybe you can suggest some that is like the Hiboy s2 but with a sturdier built, stem and built. I’m looking for everything that the Hiboy S2 offers but a better quality one.
I skipped the entry level and went right for the Pegasus. That's a great machine but the front brake rotor is driving me crazy. I cannot get the caliper to not rub no matter how much I try to line it up.
I went straight to the Obarter X3, 2400W is power enough, accelerates like a maniac and has large and wide tires with tons of grip, paid about €1129 and i don't feel like i'm gonna want to upgrade any time soon either, except for maybe the battery cuz i do use my ebike and escoot for large distances rather than low distances
Hi im an entry level scooter ruder and mine can go a bit above 30kmh and I love it it is the 2023 aovo pro in white and it is a neck breaker in my opinion I hear a lot of people in my area whispering about it saying its so nice so if you have a low budget and are a beginner get this scooter from 250 to 400€ and I'm only 12 and I love all scooter no matter the size
Got my first today - a Vsett 8+! Solid tires, IP54 and dual motors ftw! I first considered Segway 30 max pro but glad I didn’t buy that. Ps. Kaabos doesn’t have an IP rating otherwise the mantis 8 seems really nice.
@@francoismurrell4604 I like it! It got more than enough speed, depending on your weight. Dual motors is great if you have lots of hills or the occasional climb. Got a sturdy and quality build which can easily be put in a trunk (due to the great folding system). The only negative I’d say is its weight. But more weight means more stability when riding and it’s manageable. It’s mostly if you’re lifting it onboard some commuter train or such I guess. Personally I don’t think I’ll buy a heavier scooter in the future, nor faster. So with these scooters things are quite relative - your weight which can possibly slow down speed (but dual motors helps a lot), scooter weight if lifting it often, it’s speed is more than enough for me (though I can maybe see going faster on a perfectly flat and long road but it’s also risky standing up in those speeds). Solid tires are great to ignore glass but on a non asphalt road, like cobble stones, is a nightmare riding. Have had no water issues going through puddles. Oh and I’m quite strong, doing workouts regularly, but scooter still feels too heavy/bulky if needing to carrying it.
Looking for a good 1st electric scooter in the mid price range that will hold a weight limit of 250 to 300 pounds. My job is only about a mile away but after 16 hour plus shifts the last thing i want to do is walk hone. I live in Wisconsin so cold weather would a factor also.
very good overview. i wonder why you do not mention the various laws regarding speed. i learnt that in CA 15mph is max legal speed and some other states 20mph but not higher. so it seems all these super fast ones are illegal in the US.
Okay so I've watched a hundred videos and I rented a couple of them that they have out on the streets you know from the different types of brands and I figured it out on my own but damn it this video answered all my questions that I was looking for when I was looking for them LOL great job with the breakdown
did you tried vsett 9+ and 8+ ? cant decide between the two, im bit worried about full tires and slipping in higher speeds or punctures with air filled as I want it for both light trail in the nature and city, to explore on the vacation.
@@quackmeister69 🤣🤣 good question sadly the sooner you realize that the world doesn't revolve around you and if "you asked" go get a job or something dude
i am fairly new to scooter and just looking for something to have fun on and to go to school in and that is capable of 30 miles an hour any recommendations?
So I'm looking for a high speed scooter but I'm actually on a tighter budget, do you have any recommendations? Or is this just something not really feasible
2:45 i bought my scooter and sold it a few months later for only £20 lower than what i bought it for so i got to experience the entry level and now i have the jugoo kirin g3 which is soooooo much better
Very good presentation of scooters but one problem. The legal speed across most EU countries is 15 mph in traffic.I see no reason to buy a very fast scooter if you are not allowed to drive anywhere faster than 15 mph except in private territory.I don’t know, however, how you have this arranged in the usa
Any scooter sold in the EU is obligated to have a speed limiter that blocks max speed at 25 km/h. Yesterday I was testing my new scooter (Unagi E500), and i pushed it to max speed. It was indeed 25 km/h, and whew, that felt VERY FAST for a little scooter! I honestly would not feel safe going any faster on one of these things. I think they don't have a sweeping law like that in the US, but maybe every state / city has its own regulations.
lol i like how i went from a entry level scooter to a highspeed street scooter. i upgraded my Gotraxx G4 to a Nanrobot D4+ 2.0. it was my dads old scooter and its got 1.2k miles on it. my dads new scooter is a LS7+ NG
Got the es4 from Segway two days ago. And I love it. It’s super fast and secure this far. Worth the 800$ over the max even tho the max has a 40 mile range
I'd love a full Sus mtb bike but I'm after something decent for getting to work and don't have a long commute. Don't need something super insane but something good
RK9 is the best scoot-tuber lol I got a question, is their a Mantis 8 and Mantis 8 pro? I can only find the mantis 8 when looking to buy and it looks like hell of a deal but then Ive seen a mantis 8 pro that goes 35mph but I can't find one when googling it. Idk what they sell for but I'm hoping no more then $1200, if it's more then that then the regular mantis 8 for $900 will probably be my go too.
I don't think I've ever seen you talk about KuKirin Scooters. I've been looking to buy the KuKirin G2 Master, mostly for recreational fun, any a mix of surfaces. Do you have any experience with it? Or maybe someone else in the comments have any thoughts on it?
I’m on my 3rd year with the hiboy pro and a few loose bolts and loose tire 🛞 (it’s easy to remove and replace) it works good. I’m going to use it till I can’t anymore then get a premium one
I am considering a scooter that I can quickly get from my truck to wildlife photography sites not far from the road. The idea was that I could get in and out of places like pond 1/2 mile from the road and get some good wildlife shots on my camera. I am 215 lb man, and some of the places will have rough trails with hills. I was thinking of a more entry level scooter, but maybe that will not be sufficient on the terrain I plan to be on? Any suggestions for this scenerio?
what tires do you recommend with the EMOVE Cruiser scooter.. I read solid tires make rain slippery.. But I from what you said about filled tires tend to get flats easier or are a pain to work with.. So I have no clue which tires would work best with that scooter that would be easy dealing with maintenance wise safety wise and performance wise.
Where is that place aside of the road there's a river can someone tell me where or which State os located at? It looks so awesome to riding a scooter and aside of it there's a beautiful river.
I don’t like most solid tires because you can’t change tire pressure to effect your ride at all including lowering it for a wider platform for rough roads or wet conditions etc, then inflate higher for better rolling resistance and range. Plus the honeycomb ones I just don’t like the looks as much as air tires but yes I prefer tubeless on scooters especially.
I’m thinking of getting a isinwheel folding electric scooter 350w motor portable commuter is this one good just to go around and have fun or go some where like a friends
The kugoo kirin Q06 pro has to be one of the cheapest nicest scooters I've found. It was only $1200 direct from their website, has all the nicest features and takes me over 50 mph with ease, and I'm 260lbs
I should've watched this video before leting my wire purchase me one as my daily commute. Fingers crossed the hiboy pro max will serve as a good commuter scooter.
Grat info! I'm looking to move to Puero Vallarta in Mexico and have an electric scooter be my primary mode of transportation. I don't care that much about speed or range, as long as it goes faster than 25mph and farther than 20 miles it's good; the biggest challenge is a lot of relatively steep inclines and cobblestone roads. What would you recommend?
For $799 and being available at BestBuy, Home Depot, and Walmart I don’t think you can go wrong with the Niu KQI3 Pro as a first commuter scooter for adults.
Nice video! I'm looking for an electric scooter which besides commuting can be used on the golf course. So it needs room to put a golf bag on the board (towards the front) and be able to stand up when not being ridden (kick stand). Also, trying not to break the bank lol. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!
One thing I wish someone would cover is what scooter company has the best support, warranty etc...this should be very important unless you simply purchase a new scooter every year. Also, which scooter brand is the easiest to wrench on, change tires etc...Lots of utubers talk about how they put 1000 miles on their scooter..that's nothing..what type of longevity should one expect?
I wish I saw this vid a few months ago. I would've got the Mantis 8 instead of a Ninebot E22 for my commute. The E22 can't handle a full roundtrip unless it's on Eco mode. Which is very slow, like you said. And I would happily handle a few more KGs for a proper suspension.
Iam looking into teverun scooters... blade 10 or blade GT, they are 60V 28ah scooters with dual 1200w motors (1500W and 35ah batteries available, depends on versions), they come with hydraulic suspension and brakes and lights and so on... they cost arround 1300-2000... is it too much for my first electric scooter?
So I am looking for alternative ways of getting around to go from home to college. I'll 15-20 mins drive outside of my Town and some of the hills are between 20-30 degrees of an incline. It also rains a decent amount where I live. What would be good for my situation ?
(3:08-3:14) I’m looking to buy a scooter exactly for this reason, I’d probably be commuting about 12-13 miles total (with stops) and my budget is up to £400 what scooter should I get ??

Or you can get a used gas motorcycle for $3k-7k that can travel highway speeds up to 75-120mph and get long, 90+ miles of range per tank (which you fill for just $10 in 5 minutes)
I would only consider an electric scooter as a replacement for bicycle or pedestrian routes, NOT highway cruising at 50+ mph 😂
Not really. I would rather get a motorcycle, which I have. XSR700, I have an 800w Escooter cause it was 800 dollars and could load in my truck fast.

I have a ninebot es1 scooter from 2018 and it’s still going strong
for an entry level scooter i recommend the hiboy s2 pro, it goes pretty fast, and has good range, also its on sale right now for cheap
You're smart
Love my hiboy
If you get a scooter for commuting, I highly suggest spending a lot of time looking up all the laws in your area regarding electric scooter. Chances are, the tickets you'd get from breaking traffic laws will cost you as much as the scooter.
But there is no plate on scooters
@@ianvk5690 There are still laws such as where to ride and how to behave along with other vehicles on the road. Some places don't allow scooters on sidewalks etc
But i don't see police cars pursuit scooters around the city... My point is just to avoid being caught in some trouble situation...
@@ianvk5690 people do get ticketed.
Now I’m on my third scooter 😂😂
they're basically mobility mobiles for skinny people.
I think I have a far better idea of what I am looking for after watching your video.
my dad has a emove cruiser and its fun, I would recommend if your in the big suspension budget
My iscooter ix4 fits into category number 2..its great for my everyday needs. It has a 500w motor does 25mph is somewhat waterproof has suspension and 10inch tyres and i only paid £494($597) for it here in the UK
You should also get an nta helmet like xnito or bern, most helmets don't protect you on escooters
As a new rider, best video I have seen by far, very informative, keep up the good work. Please do a video for best scooters up to £1500 👍🏽
Emove cruiser s
Thanks!
7:07 *what about* Cyberbot Mini Electric Scooter? 😮😮
Vsett 10+
Fast, good range on two motors, GREAT RANGE on one motor. Tough and smooth on nasty city roads. Big and heavy duty - throw on a steering damper to make it shine.
Best escooter I've owned.
2:14 depends what scooter you have, i have a mi scooter 3 and it drives around 12 mph on huge inclines
Curious whether you've changed both the front and rear tires following a flat and if so, how difficult or easy it was to change.
@@RichardHarlos from what I’ve heard is that replacing a flat is extremely hard. Like 12 hr of work
@@royalsd Maybe it depends a bit on what brand & model of scooter, and a bit on whether the person is of average mechanical aptitude.
To over-generalize how long "it" takes, as if every scooter is the same, would be a mistake in the same vein as how long it takes to change a tire on a car. Some cars are easier, some are harder.
The steps for an Apollo scooter, for example, are described in a 4-minute video. I estimate the actual working time is around 30-40 minutes:
ua-cam.com/video/4aJMCtEH924/v-deo.html
but hard tires on low end scooters are so bumpy though, i exchanged it for a more expensive air filled 10" tires. neither has suspension but the air filled feels much smoother. i do agree with the popping issue so i try to be super careful when riding.
Just got an S2 Pro yesterday! Absolutely loving it!
i just got one its crazy good
How do they deal with potholes?
my first scooter xiami pro and I lined my tires with a liner. my friend had the same but put solid tires on. huge difference and we swapped when together. never will I go solid tires they are awful and loose traction very easy.
Yeah i used a bike puncture liner AND a puncture goo. Never had a puncture on my Xiaomi M365 pro since. (oh these are 10" tyres as well)
9:03 - How and why are you riding that fast without gloves? Some kind of hand protection?
I've been using xiaomi m365 pro for 1 yr now. Changed tires to solid and upgraded some monorim suspensions. Also hacked it to increase top speed.
I bought a kugoo m4 pro, after having a kugoo s1 for about a year, and the range is as advertised. If you don't go around at 28mph you can get 40+ miles out of it and that's with offroad riding considered
Got a hiboy s2pro as a first scooter and I love it. Use it as a commuter.
But either way the fun you have with the speed on it makes up for the battery any day.
voro sucks, though. shipped me out a faulty touring and no refund, only parts
@@jtmatto only parts? Lol did you double check what you ordered? My cruiser has been fine for 3,500 miles so far
I bought the Phantom. Love it. And I sent money in & waiting shipment for the Apollo Prp .
Have fun.
This video is really helpful , I never rode an e scooter and wanted one for fun , decided to go with a Mercane wide wheel pro cle edition can’t wait to try it out
I have a single motor scooter and u can put it in program FF which makes ur motor work with full force and i usually get 35-40mph
You know, considering your thoughts on the entry-leveled ones, I wanna see a video covering plain kick scooters, cause those can be about $100-200
Just asking, I bought my first electric scooter from Amazon around mid 2021, it is called the ‘Manwheel Mw-1 electric scooter’. It can go up to 30 km/h and has honeycomb tires, so I was wondering if you could review the scooter. Thanks.
RK9, you have to get your hands on the NIU KQI2, you'll find an entry level price tag paired with a wide feature set and commuter specs.
I have made the decision to purchase the Ninebot Max G30LP after watching a few of these videos. Thank you so much for the recommendations!
Actually alongside Xiaomi scooters you can mod Ninebots as well for extra speed. (as Xiaomi theoretically own Segway now)
Hey, in this video I saw you ride past my local holiday and stuff in Herriman.
I went straight to the Obarter X3, 2400W is power enough, accelerates like a maniac and has large and wide tires with tons of grip, paid about €1129 and i don't feel like i'm gonna want to upgrade any time soon either, except for maybe the battery cuz i do use my ebike and escoot for large distances rather than low distances
just got my g30lp and love it!
I need something for commuting long ranges, with decent speed, and power to climb pretty steep hills.
Got my first today - a Vsett 8+!
Solid tires, IP54 and dual motors ftw!
I first considered Segway 30 max pro but glad I didn’t buy that.
Ps. Kaabos doesn’t have an IP rating otherwise the mantis 8 seems really nice.
ip54 is the same nothing :) protect only from splashes, but its not difficult to make some serious water protection
how are you finding it so far? In market for an electric scooter and its on my list of possibilities. Pros? Cons?
I chose the Vsett 9+ because it is a good mix between the suspension, Speed, Portability and climbing. Only recommending.
very good overview. i wonder why you do not mention the various laws regarding speed. i learnt that in CA 15mph is max legal speed and some other states 20mph but not higher. so it seems all these super fast ones are illegal in the US.
Okay so I've watched a hundred videos and I rented a couple of them that they have out on the streets you know from the different types of brands and I figured it out on my own but damn it this video answered all my questions that I was looking for when I was looking for them LOL great job with the breakdown
Im on a tight budget, I just want something to get me back and forth work. Ninebot max?
perfect video for a first time buyer - thank you
did you tried vsett 9+ and 8+ ? cant decide between the two, im bit worried about full tires and slipping in higher speeds or punctures with air filled as I want it for both light trail in the nature and city, to explore on the vacation.
and changing disc breaks on higher end models are super easy also fyi always change your disc brakes after 900 miles
I've realised what I want is one that goes over 25-30mphs and has an AMAZING range with good suspension able to handle some off-roading
damn thats crazy... who asked tho
Emove cruiser, the new one does 31 mph
Review the Solar P1 2.0 a sub $1500 that has a top speed of 40mph
So I'm looking for a high speed scooter but I'm actually on a tighter budget, do you have any recommendations? Or is this just something not really feasible
2:45 i bought my scooter and sold it a few months later for only £20 lower than what i bought it for so i got to experience the entry level and now i have the jugoo kirin g3 which is soooooo much better
Nice video. Missing Apollo Scooters tho!
I think they don't have a sweeping law like that in the US, but maybe every state / city has its own regulations.
the speed it can reach does not mean you should reach, but when you realy need it, it could be a problem if your scooter not powerfull enough
My scooter is 540 but it has features of the 1500+ scooters is has 10" pneumatic tires a headlight and front suspension
lol i like how i went from a entry level scooter to a highspeed street scooter. i upgraded my Gotraxx G4 to a Nanrobot D4+ 2.0. it was my dads old scooter and its got 1.2k miles on it. my dads new scooter is a LS7+ NG
Got the es4 from Segway two days ago. And I love it. It’s super fast and secure this far. Worth the 800$ over the max even tho the max has a 40 mile range
range is my top feature im comfortable at 20 mph suspension is second then thumb throttle
I got myself hx x9 as my first scooter which has 500w motor and dual disc brakes that I felt it was very fast but range was like 50 km.
That looks really nice! Do you know who produces the battery by chance?
I should've watched this video before leting my wire purchase me one as my daily commute. Fingers crossed the hiboy pro max will serve as a good commuter scooter.
I have a Segway Scooter from ninebot with 65 km range (stock)
Thanks!
I am looking for the smallest scooter that can climb 30 degrees. Any suggestions?
i want something in the commuter category what are the best options while also being on the lower end of cost?
And I would happily handle a few more KGs for a proper suspension.
just got the segway GT2! cant wait!
I find your reviews very honest and in to the point ,can you find a nanrobot lighting for a review ?
Thanks for helping us decide which to buy, b/c the US dollar is getting less and less valuable, striving to get the best for our buy. Just MHO.
ZEro 8 X is my favorite for the mid range scooters
