I bought my Zero 8X based on a Jimmy Chang (now Freshly Charged) channel review. This is still one of the best scooters in class and has changed very little.

I wish I went with a scooter instead of an ebike. Scooters are much more versatile, low profile, and easier to carry around. Now thinking of selling my ebike and getting a scooter lol.
Somethings to note. Scooters are less stable, it's just physics. Smaller wheels, so you don't benefit from the inertia of larger wheels. When I have to slow down on my escooter, I definitely notice the instability, which I never had with bicycles. The larger wheels on a bicycle make it easier to push up and down stairs if you need to do that. The low profile of a scooter either means scraping the bottom on the stairs, or having to lift it. An ebike might be easier to get home with, if you run out of batteries. Here in Colorado, the rules for escooters are both confusing and annoying. They seem to have created a law for "low power scooters" which applies to any scooter that's not considered to be a toy (however that works.) So in theory you need liability insurance, you are supposed to ride on the street for speeds under 35 MPH, and you need a DL at least in theory, and you need to register it, by mailing a form somewhere. I am lazy so I did buy an escooter. But I also didn't know how painful the Colorado laws had become for escooters.
@@michaelbauers8800 I ride a bike to work (non-ebike) and have used escooters before, I view escooters are better for short rides and if you don't have to carry them up flights of stairs all the time. For any kind of longer trips the bikes are superior for some of the reasons you said but also because you can sit which is a more relaxing position than standing. I'd also check the local laws in the area as for a short while here in Dallas TX they would not allow you to bring on the bus either one of these vehicles which is something to consider if they breakdown or have a flat, so if you have to push either for a few miles or catch an uber with it, do you have those options (ie not every uber driver has a bike rack...).

That's why you get one with a warranty. That's where major brand names matter. If it doesn't have a 2 year warranty, don't touch it. See, just like a car, these companies don't have any idea of how (and how often) you drive, so none of them touch the "working lifespan" numbers game, did you ever see a car manufacturer ever tell you how many years or miles it will drive? No, of course not, because that's an invitation for a headache. They can't predict how you'll drive, and they rightly don't even attempt to. @@Boogie_the_cat Agreed. Abuse (doing stunts, being beyond the weight rating, riding in sand, etc), negligence of maintenance, and the stupidity of the owner (ie submerges the scooter in bad whether) can determine such ratings. I work in retail and when you tell some people it has a warranty what they don't pay attention to is that abuse, negligence, and kindly worked "stupidity" is never covered so a person shouldn't assume all aspects is covered for the entire window so things such as tires for example are not going to be included. Most of these people are even too lazy to read the owner's manual as one of the above rated mentioned a person must do a safety course to unlock the top speed yet many complained in reviews it couldn't hit it and most likely didn't read how to unlock it. My advice to anyone when it comes to new things you want to buy but have zero to very knowledge about is pay MORE and get a name brand with the reputation of customer service. Only after with wisdom of experience and knowledge take a chance on some third party company with questionable reputation and reviews. This is how I do it and after being a fool earlier in life this improved strategy works for me.
From my experience I'd definitely say AVOID JETSON SCOOTERS, they have been a nightmare for me just from the constant flat tires even after replacing the inner tubes 6 times, tire sealant, it is impossible to ride those more than a few times before going flat again I wish I could return it but it's too late
recently bought the gotrax ultra, took it for a test drive after charging it and the battery was on the last bar after a 20 mile ride when it claims 45 mile range. i waited for it to cooldown before charging the battery only for the charger to turn off and stop working and it only went up 1 bar so now it has 2 bar battery. Best 1st time e scooter experience
I bought the ESKUTE ES MAX off of Amazon about a year ago and within a few months the battery degraded significantly and they sent me a replacement battery pretty quick free of charge! The new battery was significantly better and to this day still runs as good as when I installed it. It was pretty apparent that its build quality wasn’t the greatest (the handlebars are a bit wobbly, tires are pretty bare and didn’t last long) but also wasn’t a bad first scooter! Im a big guy (6’2 230 lbs) and it handled my weight and size well. I’m not a speed demon and generally just want a good commuter. Recently bought the Turboant V8 and currently waiting for it to ship!

What about the hover-1 pro boss r500, what's your take on this model. I had mine for almost a year and it's awesome the only maintenance I have to worry about are changing the brake pads.
Just got my Evercross EV85F from Amazon today. So far its amazing. Carries my light a** around no issues at 30km/hr. My buddy broke my Canadian tire scooter the other day. Kind of glad he did. This one is bigger, better, faster, stronger also cheaper.
My wife bought me my first scooter on Amazon (hurdle motorgear)-simple 350watt entry level scooter. Lasted a good 4 years before it started falling apart. Still runs though. The reviews on Amazon are just all over the place. Hard to decipher. I got an evercross H5 from Walmart. That was a decent mid-grade scooter. Now I have the nanrobot lightning that I went straight to the manufacturer. All my scooters have solid tires. The tires on these scooters are just too small and prone to flats. I’m looking to upgrade to something faster but it looks like I’ll have to give up my solid tire mandate. The scooters that I’m looking at all have air tires.
@@grazz7865 I can’t stand air tires…I’m searching rn for solid tires. I was doing about 15 turning today on YUME y10 and a car pulled out and I slid on wet leaves..that’s probably why. Solid tires are much more slick. I got road rash all over my arm lol
@Qb_da_don he is talking about the inmotion climber and that would probably be good for you if you have $700 for it but at that price you could also get a fat tire ebike and enjoy your cruise more.
I ordered an E2 Plus on Amazon for $299 but after watching your reviews I cancelled it and got a KQi2 Pro on their renewed store for $269 for Excellent Grade. It sounds like a lot better value. If it works out I will get a few more for the kids.
I am happy so far with the Segway Max G2. It can't handle some steep hills I have tried, so maybe someone in a hilly area should look at more powerful (e.g. dual motor) options. I had also originally ordered the G30, which is probably fine for a lot of people, but it's 220 pound limit was insufficient for me. the Max G2 is about 50 pounds, which for me, is close to the limit I would want, as I have to lift it up and down a few stairs, as it's stored in my apartment (thankfully, I am on a bottom floor, it's just slightly above ground.) I do wonder about tying these things into a phone apps, in terms of long term ownership. Hopefully it would still work without a phone. But mentioning this as something to consider. G2 is fast enough for my needs, for short, neighborhood trips. For longer commutes, people might want to look at faster models with more duration, but then you will pay quite a bit more I think.
I have a kq2 and it's IMPOSSIBLE to get a replacement rear rim and tire 😞. The site is ALWAYS sold out. I love the scooter but I'm now sitting without the use of mine for that reason. Do you have ANY suggestions? 🙏🏾

I got the yume y10 and love it. Shame the y11 came out a few months after I bought it. Supposed to be 50v with 40mph top speed instead it's 60v 50+mph. Had it at 57 with a fresh charge.
It's not mentioned on this video, but I bought a Jasion Js2 scooter from Amazon that looks pretty similar to a Segway which only costed like 280 bucks after tax and shipping a few months ago, and I'm pretty impressed with it for the price! I saw in the reviews it's supposed to be able to go up to 20mph, but I've still yet to figure out how to program it that way lol. Right now it's governed at 12mph, but honestly that's fast enough for something that has no suspension.😂
I was lucky enough to get a scooter for free to review. But now that I have rode it, I love riding it, the problem is, it isn't enough. For the price range, it is decent, but it rides rough and if you get off the pavement, say like on gravel or ground up asphalt, get ready for a beating and sliding all over the place. So with that being said, what are your recommendations for one that has a range of around 40 or so miles but more importantly, a speed of at least 40mph. Preferably one that can handle off road as well as on pavement. Thanks
After watching your videos. I settled for the appollo go and the hiboy max pro used for a spare . I think they are very similar in specs except moter counr

You mention the Segway F2 Pro has front "hydraulic" suspension. I believe it's front "spring" suspension. Let me know if I'm wrong, but on Segways website for the F2 Pro; The front spring suspension with 35mm stroke lengths...
U missed the iscooter i9 max it has dual suspension aand a 500w motor with a 10ah 34v battery it goes 22mph unlocked and does 20% hills easily, you can get 23 miles distance 16 if you go 22mph the whole time mine cost £349.99 and iscooter have are great with helping should you need it.
I went on a whim and bought a cheap isinwheel s10 plus and for 399 on sale it is amazing great quality goes 21mph rear Regen and front drum brake.. I was amazed but it's awful for hills but who would expect a 500 watt motor to be good on Pittsburgh PA hills . For reference I have a wide wheel pro and a wolf warrior x
I purchased the 5800 wat ZSnake. I was wondering if you have ridden it? I've put 35 miles on it, and it seems too be of good quality. It looks cool, front and back, and the back 2800 wat motors dual coil shocks front and back. And it's fast.
I was looking at some of those 5600 watt scooters. Wasn’t sure of the brands. I know brands aren’t everything. Some brand names are sold from company to company so you really don’t know what you’re getting.
@grazz7865 I get we're your coming from. But I gotta tell you this scooters the bomb. It is very well made and fast noby tires dual front and back coil shocks, the only thing I don't like about it is you can't get into the program on the scooter. I took off the deck. It has dual speed controllers, and you can tell they took their time wiring this scooter .hydraulic brakes. Huge display screen that's easy to see in bright light. I had it up to 42 GPS miles per hour and said that's enough
@@TheBuell49 I've just ordered one my self. I'm surprised there are not more reviews of it! It's entirely different from the "TifGalop" etc., scooters. Hey folks I was looking thru Amazon and have made a decision on which scooter I wanna purchase. But it’s not on any ones “best of” list. It’s manufactured by Foholo. Hi there! Please help me to choose right scooter. I try to find a best light weight, fun, with good suspension scooter. I have checked around 40 models and choose only 3 of them. Mantis 8 or 10. Dualtron raptor 2 or eagle. My aim is jump a lot of bumps, aggressive ride in park dirt roads. And here in Ukraine we have a bad asphalte with a lot of holes and i am scary to lose all my teeth. Raptor 2 has the best perfomance compare to a weight of just 22kg (48lbs). But... it has only 8 inch tiers which i scary with out bad roads... But it also goes iwth rubber suspension which is good for jumping but again seems bad for raod as dualtron comes with airless tires. Mantis 8 has spring suspensions nad + 3 kg. But Mantis 10 as Dualtron eagle, comes with 10 inch tiers but 30 kg (66lbs) which is a huge difference and i am just not sure... spring suspensions and + kg weight or runbber suspensions light weight....
I just got an ix3. Had for about 1 month and have been happy so far. I keep up with my son on his GoTrax GX2 on street and worn trails. I despise our his GoTrax Ultra. Getting parts and trying to repair is impossible - I am putting it in the trash and will replace with an ix3.
I have to travel 4.7 miles to work... and i was thinking on getting one dor a daily use but i dont know witch one to choose can anyone give a recommendation
I have the 5th wheel v30pro, I would recommend it. For the Price the speed is good and it has useful functions like turning signals. The only downside is that if your riding in sport mode your only going to get about 8 miles of range you can get 20 miles in eco mode which is 10mph. But The warranty on this scooter is also good. The Company is very helpful. Overall I think this is a good choice.
So what did you get. I think a Caroma is a solid scooter for the especially if flat out speed isn't your main concern. I love mine and everything I've heard makes them seem like the Toyota of the scooter world. You get it on it and it going to work and the batteries are pretty stout. Caroma is what I bought my girlfriend and getting for my kids at Christmas because I trust them to not leave the people I care about stranded. But that's just one persons opinion.
I just want something like the Bird rentals that go 15mph. No bells & whistles. Just a simple scooter so I don't have to rent Birds to go to 7-11. What brand & model do y'all recommend?

Every list I come across has had the NIU KQi series, and for that reason, I am buying one. Appreciate the video!
recently bought the gotrax ultra, took it for a test drive after charging it and the battery was on the last bar after a 20 mile ride when it claims 45 mile range. i waited for it to cooldown before charging the battery only for the charger to turn off and stop working and it only went up 1 bar so now it has 2 bar battery. Best 1st time e scooter experience
What's the best scooter for range and speed for under 1400$ preferably off Amazon
KQI 300X vs the KQI3 Max? I’m curious how the suspension is, since I currently have the Max and was thinking of getting the 300X for my girlfriend.
I bought my granddaughter’s first scooter from Amazon. We should have watched your video first. She picked it out. She had the scooter for a couple months and it stopped working. She plugged it in thinking it wasn’t charged. The box was green indicating that it’s fully charged.
How is Amazon on scooter returns or replacements?
Can you check out the max shot v1 electric scooter?
What about the hover-1 pro boss r500, what's your take on this model. I had mine for almost a year and it's awesome the only maintenance I have to worry about are changing the brake pads.
Just got my Evercross EV85F from Amazon today. So far its amazing. Carries my light a** around no issues at 30km/hr. My buddy broke my Canadian tire scooter the other day. Kind of glad he did. This one is bigger, better, faster, stronger also cheaper.
Thank you, you've provided the public with great insight into a bit of a minefield.
Im just interested in a light weight scooter when need to carry. Which one do you recommend?
I’m pretty sure he doesn’t answer any of the questions, it’s too bad when they get to big for their channel. 😢
In fact I don’t even think he read any of the comments. 😢
The scooters that I’m looking at all have air tires.
air tires are better, if you are worried about flats just use some tire slime
The nanrobot lightning is solid tires?
@@g.kush4761 yes. That’s the biggest scooter I can find with solid tires. Anything over the lightning is air tires
@@grazz7865 I can’t stand air tires…I’m searching rn for solid tires. I was doing about 15 turning today on YUME y10 and a car pulled out and I slid on wet leaves..that’s probably why. Solid tires are much more slick. I got road rash all over my arm lol

Do you have any videos on the ninebot f-se? I recently purchased this one at Sam’s club for 399$ on sale
Have you tried the evo-1000 Uber scooter? Forget the rest but was thinking of buying it
I just bought a Isinwheel GT2 1000W. Any thoughts on this scooter? Would love some feedback .😊
Would you recommend Gyroor ? I’m planning to get the Gyroor C1S because I want to take my dog a ride as well
I have the climber. Had it 2 weeks and about 80 miles so far. Even through a blizzard.
I’m around 280 lbs is there anything one you would recommend for me ? I work like 10 miles away 🙏
@Qb_da_don he is talking about the inmotion climber and that would probably be good for you if you have $700 for it but at that price you could also get a fat tire ebike and enjoy your cruise more.
Very helpful! I don’t have a clue where to start & broke my shoulder on my first one!
What do you think about the JGH x5 scooters?
Got a megawheels s10bk 7.5 on temu for $180 and couldn't be happier. Great scooter for the price. 15mph top speed, and about 12-15 mile range.
What do you think about the wendgo y600?
I have the HiBoy S2 and the NUI KQi3 Pro. Both are excellent for the money and I highly recommend both.
Quesiton, you say you like the HiBoyS2.....how do you think it would work for an adult 190 lbs. would it be sluggish at that weight?
I have a kq2 and it's IMPOSSIBLE to get a replacement rear rim and tire 😞. The site is ALWAYS sold out. I love the scooter but I'm now sitting without the use of mine for that reason. Do you have ANY suggestions? 🙏🏾
@@rhondataylor9912 why don’t you bloody well get out there and build yourself a go cart like I did in the 70s? Youngsters today are too soft and powered by battery’s 🙄
RK9, please respond is Caroma good or bad?
Thank you, I was just riding the Lime scooter that tops off at 15mph and it was really fun.

You are right, I misspoke. It is the Max G2 that has hydraulic front suspension
Is 5th Wheel a good brand to buy a scooter from?
U missed the iscooter i9 max it has dual suspension aand a 500w motor with a 10ah 34v battery it goes 22mph unlocked and does 20% hills easily, you can get 23 miles distance 16 if you go 22mph the whole time mine cost £349.99 and iscooter have are great with helping should you need it.
Any input on the hilboy s2?
Very helpful and detailed recommendations, thank you so much!
I have the nanrobot lightning dual motor 1600 watts. My third scooter. Can’t go back to the slower ones.
@@grazz7865 I feel that but when I'm riding on bike trails I hardly go over 15mph anyways
Also I watch a lot of videos on hiper scooters and none look and feel as rugged as this Sniky Zsnake
And the scooter model is Arich, 60V Electric Scooter Adults 5000W Dual Motors (Foholo F15). I believe all that info is correct but I could b wrong about manufacturer. 1 question, is the “oneS” brand a knock off or not? Because i was searching the app for their e-scooter and i found nothing (im pretty sure the brand is bosnian)
AMAZING VIDEO❤ ... thanks for all the time saved, excellent information and very complete for what I was looking for. Again thanks 😊

Can you see if the 5th wheel e-scooters are good?
I have the 5th wheel v30pro, I would recommend it. For the Price the speed is good and it has useful functions like turning signals. The only downside is that if your riding in sport mode your only going to get about 8 miles of range you can get 20 miles in eco mode which is 10mph. But The warranty on this scooter is also good. The Company is very helpful. Overall I think this is a good choice.
I'm getting the v40pro it goes 32km/h and has a 40km range my school is about 2 km away so I should be good
