- Sprawl is a first-person shooter set in a dystopian future. The game features fast-paced action, parkour, and a retro-inspired art style that makes use of low-resolution textures in conjunction with modern rendering and lighting techniques that give it a unique look. When it comes to its core gameplay, however, Sprawl isn’t looking to reinvent the wheel, and is instead happier refining the classic mechanics we know and love.
The story revolves around disgraced super-powered agent SEVEN, who is trying to survive against a number of different government factions that are trying to kill her. SEVEN is essentially tasked with just killing her way through countless enemies. The story doesn’t really do much more than give you an excuse to kill, but when it comes to a retro FPS, an excuse is all you really need. - Ігри
It’s a retro doom like shooter there all good it’s just dumb fun
Must be hard for a developer to make a boomer shooter that is similar enough to be true to it's genre but have fresh game mechanics to reel in new players
It must not be that hard with how many of them have come out the last few years.
So I'm guessing you have to land headshots everytime?

So glad I'm not one of those smoothbrains that only cares about graphics and has no concept of what actual good gameplay is

This game sucks. There is a jump at the very beggining that took me like 50 tries. The only 'innovative' mechanics and feature it has should be fun. It should make you feel like a god/ess of parkour instead of going from challenging to annoying. She doesn't use her hands to climb or to grab ledges, some times her jumps are too low. Running in ascension is not even. On some occasions she starts descending as soon as she starts running on the wall.
I tried that jump over and over until I made it just not to feel frustrated after quitting the game. Why people don't beta test their games anymore? I'm sick of sports, combat and fighting games made by people who don't practice any of those sports
I agree with the walljumping. It sucks. I uninstalled it. I get tired of that shit and sloppy controls and stupid AI.
A good chunk of people seem to struggle with the wallrunning. Is it the jump where you have to turn a corner?
I got the hang of it once I realized it's about staying close to the wall, regardless of which way you're looking. You can basically freelook in any direction, including away from the wall, as long as you continue strafing along it, and then jump in any direction.
The frustration I ran into was with the shooting - it feels like Doom Eternal, but it's even more important you constantly hit weak points, and it doesn't seem to have the same feature where tapping the weapon wheel button quick-switches to the last weapon. I might have to go back to keyboard/mouse for this one.
@@kimura317 You jump once from one block to a roof, from that roof you have to get on a wall, she jumps on it like shit before running on it, and she's still running low when you have to jump onto the other wall. It's a rectangular whole from which you fall and you have to start all over again. But the jump is pretty simple and it should be way easier than it is. Specially considering you're just doing a tutorial.
After that jump she gets to a higher roof. You get to see it as if she had already climbed it, but no. She keeps falling instead of staying on it or grabbing a ledge with her f.....g hands. I don't care if she's supposed to use her hands to shoot while wall running and jumping. Actual parkour is not like that. If it has to be like that in the game, then it has to be easier and enjoyable
@@damorgue I have to agree, that the controls with a gamepad/controller is awful in this game. So clunky. I'll never understand how some games can have smooth gamepad controls, while others can't?
