I was just now listening and studying the Buffalo Springfield version of Mr Soul...,and the solo's...yes, the solos are incredible...,and the "F" section just blew me away...,where did that come from? It's brilliant! I don't know, my feeling is that Young and Stills each had a turn at this composite sounding solo section....,it sounds like it was spliced together like electronic music.....,yes...,E to F to A back to E then to the chorus...,and out...,and the lyrics...,this is the quintessential song about fame....,
