Mega Man 2 and 3 had the BEST music out of the entire classic series. The others had some good ones, but none of them hold a flame to the soundtrack masterpieces of the 2nd and 3rd games.
Bubble Man's theme is my favourite song in any of the Mega Man games, and probably my favourite 8-bit piece of music generally. It's been said to death, but the soundtrack of Mega Man 2 is just too good.
Bubble Man at least is the one who's SUPPOSED to be weak to the Metal Blade. The other cases are programming screwups, except maybe Wood Man (cutting weapon against wooden body - it makes sense that it hurts him)

My first ever Robot Master stage played was this one. I have fond memories of Bubble Man. But this remains a game I could never beat. But when I start doing Let's Plays, I will finally finish this game.
I'll be honest, I actually used Bubble Lead a lot against those annoying enemies that lay on ground. It's also the only weapon that damages the final boss.
You couldn't charge your standard gun. You could select the weapons you get from the bosses, though. One of which (Heat Man) allowed you to charge up a fire-based attack. In later MegaMan games, you could charge up your standard gun.
As controversial as your statement is on the quality of MM5’s weapons, I kinda agree, they’re not the best: Charge Man: Limits to slide, and considering most opponents are in the air, like Gravity Man, Gyro Man and all of Wily’s robots, this weapon’s only good for earthbound targets. Wave Man: Again, can only be used on the ground, and most enemies can jump over it. Star Man: A weaker version of Wood Man, at least he can fire it. So getting in close to attack with it is almost sure to get yourself hurt in the process. Gravity Man: A nice insta-kill against small enemies except Metalls, but absolutely useless against everything else. Gyro Man: A good ranged weapon at last. But it’s extremely hard to control. It goes in the direction you point to, but considering you’re pressing the d-pad all the time to avoid attackers, aiming with this weapon is a nightmare. Crystal Man: A significant upgrade from Gemini Man that can now fire three attacks that bounce off the screen at once instead of Gemini’s one that always seems to miss. But to use it to its fullest, it needs to bounce off a wall, and considering most of the stages have you go horizontally with hardly any walls and Proto Man and Dr Wily boss areas have no walls either, this weapon’s usefulness gets neutered fast. Napalm Man: It fires bombs that roll on the ground before exploding in like five seconds. It’s another earthbound attack that’s useless if you don’t fire it directly in enemy’s faces. I would forgive MM5’s entire arsenal if Napalm Man’s was a flamethrower, like MMX’s Flame Mammoth, but I guess people would be pissed off a lot more for even more imagery to Vietnam atrocities. Stone Man: It fires stones in a circular motion, but again, is easily avoided. Most of the weapons are either hard to aim, useless or bricked when facing jumping or airborne enemies. And even then, you can either use the Mega Buster which is strong against everything or in the later portions, use Beat to wipe out anything that moves.
yay thanks for posting this vid, i wanted to see this stage again for the hay hay of it. sure he's crazy easy with his weakness, but i remember one way to get more challenge out of the game is beat all bosses with just the default weapon. (except the specific Wiley bosses)
Good news! I figured out how to make the video in the way that I was trying to make it! A short trailer goes live Wednesday, and the full video goes live Thursday! I'll share the links with you when the videos are available!
I actually find Bubble Lead to be one of the game's better weapons. They defeat those annoying slinkys, they can help identify the fake blocks in Wily stage 4 and you can't beat the final boss without it.
I love how broken MM2 is. Most people call it the hardest one outside of the first, but I find abusing all of the powers to make the game a cakewalk to be incredibly fun.
Nice gameplay. But it bothers people so much when they don’t fill other suit meters up. (You used all of Freeze Time up but didn’t refill when killing with metal blades... 😤😣😖
Is it just me, or is Mega Man Legacy on Xbone like, unplayable? I can't even get past the dropping platforms right at the beginning... the latency and sluggishness in the controls is just... it's so bad... And I really wanted to relive my childhood through these games, :(
In response to your comment on weapons at the end, I will challenge that statement. Bubble Lead is not too useful, I'll give you that. My favourites in 2 are Quick Boomerang, Leaf Shield, Time Stopper and, of course, Metal Blades (Which I try to refrain from using most of the time.) I actually find Atomic Fire not that useful, since it's always the last weapon I get, and I have my favourites by then. It takes forever to charge as well.
I have a mega man disk, game, for Nintendo Gamecube. and it has part 1 through 8 as well as 2 bonus games. be hard to find in stores now days, but if U buy it online, I suggest going to GOOGLE and type in BUY MEGA MAN ANNIVERSITY COLLECTION FOR NINTENDO GAMECUBE. and then pay for it.
The composer(s) on this game. History remembers you. And we along with it.
Manami Matsumae (mainly), Ogeretsu Kun, Yoshihiro Sakaguchi and Takashi Tateishi

I arranged a medley of music from this game including Bubble Man's theme:

love isnt lost i know excatly where i put it
@@44bigfreezecorrection: Takashi Tateishi composed the majority of the soundtrack himself. Manami Matsumae only added a few bars to Airman's theme.

I second that
The intro phrase is burned into my brain forever....i still hum it to this day!
Same
I love Bubble Man's theme.

The waterfall makes my eyes bleed but the awesome music totally makes up for it!
Aaaah, my favorite stage theme for sure. So nostalgic and awesome. Good run as always, Pink!

Best 8-bit Music^^
StFrancisFolly It's like it puts you in a trance when you hear it.
Agreed, Abstract Hope(name of stage song) is best.
When I was a kid, I always felt bad for that crab at 2:22. He didn't even have a chance to land on a ledge and survive.
This has got to be my favorite Mega Man stage
Bubble Man at least is the one who's SUPPOSED to be weak to the Metal Blade. The other cases are programming screwups, except maybe Wood Man (cutting weapon against wooden body - it makes sense that it hurts him)
Flash Man was also weak only to the blades of metal. I don't know why it isn't the Crash Bomber either
You're right.
No, he's weak to the Crash Bomber
I think the official order is:
Metal > Bubble > Heat > Wood > Air > Crash > Flash > Quick.
@@thejedisonic67 crash bomb it breaks it wood is weak to fire fire shiuld be air snd water

What I liked about MM2 is that the pellet shots sounded like they did legit damage =)

this stage hurts my eyes

"My name is Bubble Man and I got something to sa-"
*DEAD* 💀
This level blew my mind as a kid!! going from Mario brothers 1 to this was like night and day.

@highwind8124
:P
Anyhow, those 'Jellyfish at 1:30" remind me of Metroids for some reason.
I like how there's trails following Bubble Man's shots, like the water around them is being disturbed. :)

F***ING BUBBLES!!
Great job as always, Pink.
Wait a minute I didn't know you can charge a weapon in this game. I thought that wasn't available until 4.
It was unique to Heat Man's ability. It was only one before MM4.
Same here
The first time I played bubble man stage I got immediately flashbanged
2:33 Well that was so beautiful, but it's time for a boss fight
I actually find Bubble Lead to be one of the game's better weapons. They defeat those annoying slinkys, they can help identify the fake blocks in Wily stage 4 and you can't beat the final boss without it.
MM2: Bubble Man Stage. Atomic Fire. Underwater. Enough Said. :)
"My weapon is bubbles. Isn't that enough?"
With Metal Blade, Bubble Man is such a pushover
Bubbleman can be annihilated pretty quick even with the buster arm.
His was always the first stage I'd start with
Same.
I just realized you were shooting to the beat XD
You made it look so simple 😮
I have actually found the way of getting across the dropping platforms by using the flash.
Ps this game has been far more enjoyable and simple.
Bubble man's power does a ton of damage to the final boss of the game
I think Amitie will love this.
How does fire work underwater?
I love how broken MM2 is. Most people call it the hardest one outside of the first, but I find abusing all of the powers to make the game a cakewalk to be incredibly fun.
MM2 is easy
I love mm2 again and always but not mm11 too anime but we're glad mega man is back
Megaman X5 brought us back to this stage.
Whenever I see Bubble Man I can't help but think of the Yu-Gi-Oh! card by the same name; Elemental Hero - Bubble Man.
It even has some sort of bubble blasters tho.
Easiest of all with normal gun but one of the greatest songs in the series!
Amazing stage, as always. Close calls make it even more awesome! Just like you.
Damn bro 11 years ago, i was 7, how u been?
correct me if I am wrong Pink, but dont the metal blades kill those shrimp in one hit?
@virtualboy2558 whats wrong withs cutman?
The music awesomeness!!!
He's also weak to Quick Boomerang.
1:25 shooting with the song
What does bubble man do in megaman
I kind of like Bubble Lead. It helped me with some parts of Willy’s Fortress that would’ve killed me if I hadn’t used it
rekts time stopper; use it to save the run
Ty for share ,
greets
a few close calls there :0, well done, great vid pink
You have heat man, who’s weak against bubble man, Whose weapon is BUBBLES by the way!
Nice gameplay. But it bothers people so much when they don’t fill other suit meters up. (You used all of Freeze Time up but didn’t refill when killing with metal blades... 😤😣😖

I beat bubbleman by spamming. THANK GOODNESS FOR SPAMMING!
Fekkin epic stuff
i was bored so i decided to face bubble man first. i beat him with the egg shooter (mega buster)
Bro try defeating each Voss with mega man only and not using any other power
I just beat this level last night it was fun
Bubble Man is without doubt, the lamest boss in the series.
Flashman bruh
But Toad Man exists.
Nooo !! Because it shows the ability to Heatman spoiler ??
I still have not overcome thanks -.-
Yo lo destruyo con el arma de Quick man
Mute this video and play Bazooka Bubble Gum Song. I guess it works.

Kinda forgot how lame Mega Man 2 was.
:)
ugliest stage in all of mega man
