The blocks are very simple. After the 200th time I got it. I never used the jet. When my friends and I play this, I do the blocks by jumping. They tell me I'm showing off. Lol
Top Spin is actually a pretty good close-range weapon. You can safely kill lots of enemies in MM3 in one hit with that attack, like for example the walking eyes, the skydivers, the dragonflies, the monkeys, and even the junk golems.
Fun Fact: Keji Inafune, the creator of Mega Man, states that his favorite Robot Master is Heat Man since he was "such a gimmicky character". He also dislikes Metal Man as one of his least favorite bosses because he was too easy
Actually, this was one of my favorite stages and it had one of the most catchy songs in this game. The blocks weren't much of a problem because I always had one of my items to help me out lol.
Atomic Fire? Garbage? *Laughing out loud* Listen here, a fully charged shot does take up time and ammo, but it's entirely worth it. Sniper Joes? Ba-boom, dead. Wood Man? Ba-boom, dead. Wily Machine 2's first phase? Ba-boom, dead. It kills off pretty much any enemy in one hit while fully charged, and the hitbox is purely sweet. But I see your point if you're doing a no damage run
I find that Atomic Fire works well on Woodman and Flashman. I found them both a pain to deal with using the Mega Buster, especially Flashman since he's constantly chasing you.
Playing this for the first time in 1990, the ONE time I made it across the blocks, and Heat Man killed me with no lives left. Then I find out about Item 2 a little later and was like “You’re so fucking DEAD now!!!!”
The dissapearing block section of this stage is actually very easy. I count 4 blocks after the lava part to know where the "Above" one appears. The lava ones are all sequential and the blocks with the ones appearing over you in the beginning won't kill you as there is no lava or pit in that section. I never use item 2.
What I do instead of memorizing the pattern is count the blocks. The 5th, 9th, and 23rd blocks to appear are the ones that appear directly above you. Of course, having a strategy and actually pulling it off are not the same...usually, the last one still just sends me down the bottomless pit.
I got a lot of lives from those helicopter robots. I just take advantage of the respawn factor that they have and boom. Full health, full weapons, and tons of lives.
Fun Fact. At the place at 1:14 (The disappearing blocks puzzle) it's possible to time a jump so the block spawn inside your hitbox, forcing you through the wall and straight into the bottomless pit. Found out the hard way.
I believe you can actually one-shot Wood Man to death with a fully charged Atomic Fire after he tosses his Wodd Shield. You still have to dodge the leaves while charging up the attack, but after that he's easy pickings.
One little strategy I tell myself for the disappearing blocks part at the end is 3-6-20 basically what that means is I count the blocks in a line and in those specific numbers is when theres gonna be a block that spawns over your head and you need to jump up, went through hell to learn that one haha
I'm pretty sure those infamous blocks were eventually where airman ga taosenai came from (air man holds item 2 to get past it, but player can't beat, ditto fir wood man and leaf shield against fan breath(
Wait a sec. "No boss it works best for"? Okay, Air Man's weapon works well on Wood Man too, but a fully charged shot of Heat Man's weapon takes him out in one shot on Normal, two on Difficult. Okay, that makes Air Man's weapon better, but... Great video, as usual.
Atomic Fire actually works very well against Wood Man and Wily's first form. Easily my favorite stage music (besides Wily Stage 1 of course) in the game. As for the Tellies, as a kid I just called them "soda cans with eyes."
I nornally use Atomic Fire on that one Sniper Joe who stands under a very low ceiling on the 4th Dr. Wily stage. I think that the only way to kill him before he hits you is by hitting him with a charged up Atomic Fire as early as possible.
@Scarteh This IS on Difficult, though! XD Boss AI does not change between difficulties, so the same strategies work, you just do less damage to them (but Heat Man still takes extra damage from the buster). Ironically, Heat Man seems to fall to similar strategies even in most rom hacks, like the videos of Rockman No Constancy I posted.
Well, like all stages, you need to have the right items. I usually do Heat Man's stage last because it's pretty tricky and the weapon's useless. (Item 1 can be good, but you don't really need it for the robot masters). The best strategy is to have either the quick boomerang or the sawblade, and then use item 2 for the parkour section. This stage is actually really easy, at least compared to literally every other megaman game.
I'm pretty sure "Tellie" was renamed "Telebomb" in Mega Man Zero 4, so that name makes sense (i.e. long distance bomb). As for "Prop Top," the prop is most likely short for propellor, which also makes great sense.
well. youre right, i noticed its on hard. anyways the EU version is still much harder since heat man does attack all the time. your hard mode seems like the normal mode on the EU version to me. maybe ill post a video of it in a couple of days.
Atomic fire fully charged actually can make lot of damage to quickman and one of willy is forms. Its hard to hit quickman with it but if u do quickman will only have a6 or less bars left. :3
You can hear some MM2 music remakes in the SMW hack A Super Mario Thing, with remixes of Metal Man, Quick Man, Air Man etc. (although surprisingly, there WASN'T a Wily Stage 1 remix in the game)
Did you know if you fight heat man in the castle, take his energy down to 1 hit, you hit him with his own weapon ( atomic fire) he gets all his energy back
The music in this level really adds to the anger you feel after falling off those damn blocks for the 987th time. It's very intense.
CarlThatDoesNotKillPeople that is the only reason I watched the video XD and when I saw what to do, I tried it and didn't even use the last block!!!
Agreed.
The blocks are very simple. After the 200th time I got it. I never used the jet. When my friends and I play this, I do the blocks by jumping. They tell me I'm showing off. Lol
@@GV213 I never thought the blocks were that hard, it only took me about 10 tries when I was a kid.
So true.
I never noticed how good Heat Man Theme was
Hi cut man 👍
2:00 i literally raged so hard when that block appeared. i actually threw my 3ds
Your 3ds?
yea. i have it on virtual console
CatandFriends1 ok
CatandFriends1 good to see the new generation experiencing some of the rage I felt back in the early 90's playing this game and others.
i usually waited to fight him until i had the rush jet to avoid that part all together.
Imagine this stage but you had Top Spin
Its technically possible in the Wily Wars via hacking. I might make a video for you showing that. Heatman takes 7 damage from Top Spin in WW
Top Spin is actually a pretty good close-range weapon.
You can safely kill lots of enemies in MM3 in one hit with that attack, like for example the walking eyes, the skydivers, the dragonflies, the monkeys, and even the junk golems.
Mega man Maker can make that happen
Fun Fact: Keji Inafune, the creator of Mega Man, states that his favorite Robot Master is Heat Man since he was "such a gimmicky character". He also dislikes Metal Man as one of his least favorite bosses because he was too easy
He's got good taste
Interesting.

Whoever made these videos is a baller. Made that shit look easy. I remember back in the day man this game used to piss me off so bad
It's the easiest game in the series by far. Once you beat some of the others you will probably have the amount of skill shown in the video.
Minacious this game still pisses me off.
I haven't played any of them in a long time but I always remembered MM3 as being the easiest one
@@potatobug7757Not really, 5 and 6 are loads easier than any others on the nes. I can do perfect runs of both.
Actually, this was one of my favorite stages and it had one of the most catchy songs in this game. The blocks weren't much of a problem because I always had one of my items to help me out lol.

GeminiCan #3208 It consumes lots of ammo and health. And if you can’t aim, you’re screwed.
1:37 por fin alguien que utiliza estos cubos!
I"m stuck on the part with all the dissapearing blocks I always mess up :/
VERY IMPRESSIVE!!!!! I Always have to use item 2 at the block part, but you do it like its easy. Wow!!!! Your walkthroughs are Amazing!!!
I always thought Heat Man looked a bit like a stapler. Nice run, I don't think I could ever do a perfect run of this (or any level for that matter)
I find that Atomic Fire works well on Woodman and Flashman. I found them both a pain to deal with using the Mega Buster, especially Flashman since he's constantly chasing you.
PinkKittyRose I also have troubles with the stage as well, the blocks are the problem in the stage and they are annoying
Unreal skills brother. Watching all your mm2 videos. Smiling the whole Time ❤
this game fills me with a rage i never even knew existed
Heatman's model is like
sup bro
Cajita de fosforo man
He was "blazing" before megaman showed up lol
He looks like he just hit a fat blunt.
You know what the MMBN series doesn't have? Those annoying appearing/disappearing blocks in classic Megaman. And I wouldn't have it any other way.
I HATE THAT GODAMN SECTION WITH THE DISSAPEARING BLOCKS THAT GO 10 MILES PER SECOND FOR AN HOUR AND A HALF
Playing this for the first time in 1990, the ONE time I made it across the blocks, and Heat Man killed me with no lives left. Then I find out about Item 2 a little later and was like “You’re so fucking DEAD now!!!!”

it is - with save points - after you played and failed at it a dozen plus times.
This is easily my favorite stage.

Ah, the blocks.
So annoying, yet so iconic. Can’t help but grin
The charge ability of Atomic Fire is sort of like an early version of Mega Man's charge shot in MM4.
Is it wrong that I like Heatman and his level?
yes
DJ kim I was in a Skype call playing this stage, and we all agreed Heatman looked like he was on drugs.
*****
he definitely smokes the ganja
Yeah his face, he looks so calm.
Some Asian nope, i love it
thats one of the hard ones down just quick man to struggle with now (i would at least), great vid pink
Needed the layout of the map.
Thanks!
I believe you can actually one-shot Wood Man to death with a fully charged Atomic Fire after he tosses his Wodd Shield. You still have to dodge the leaves while charging up the attack, but after that he's easy pickings.
It is only in recent years that I realized that Heatman's design is supposed to resemble a cigarette lighter. *mind blown*
Looks like this is a level that is almost impossible to beat during your first try.
One little strategy I tell myself for the disappearing blocks part at the end is 3-6-20 basically what that means is I count the blocks in a line and in those specific numbers is when theres gonna be a block that spawns over your head and you need to jump up, went through hell to learn that one haha
if San Antonio,TX was a stage in a video game it would be Heat Man's stage hands down
this stage is a little annoying but boss easy asf took me like 40 min first time playing lol
Been playing this on my Wii U. This game is fucking brutal but so awesome lol.
1:39 this is when a man said he could not defeat airman
I'm pretty sure those infamous blocks were eventually where airman ga taosenai came from (air man holds item 2 to get past it, but player can't beat, ditto fir wood man and leaf shield against fan breath(
Wait a sec. "No boss it works best for"? Okay, Air Man's weapon works well on Wood Man too, but a fully charged shot of Heat Man's weapon takes him out in one shot on Normal, two on Difficult. Okay, that makes Air Man's weapon better, but...

freakin hate those disappearing platforms
Kitty! Heatman`s weapon is the strongest fire skill in the whole franchise. Woodman goes down with one hit from the charged shot.
Atomic Fire actually works very well against Wood Man and Wily's first form.
Easily my favorite stage music (besides Wily Stage 1 of course) in the game. As for the Tellies, as a kid I just called them "soda cans with eyes."

Dear god do I have memories of this stage! How many attempts did it take to have the block-spawn patterns down pat? Those drove me nuts as a kid.
@JoeDaPokemonMasta1
the controls suck on the iphone. I got through it though and this is the only stage I need to beat.
Atomic Fire doesn't alot of uses. Outside being able to burn lumber, not much
@Scarteh This IS on Difficult, though! XD Boss AI does not change between difficulties, so the same strategies work, you just do less damage to them (but Heat Man still takes extra damage from the buster).

Blocks at 1:13 won't appear
Masterful performance
finally a real player who doesnt use a rocket
Why not just use item 2 to fly across the disappearing blocks part?
This is my favorite stage. It is really fun to battle heat man with just mega buster.
It's 2024 and I beat the heatman level again after 30 years...
Thanks so much these videos have helped me so much
Heat man
I used Item 2 as you said. It was way more easy! :D
Or you could note which block appears directly above the 1-up and count 5 from that.
Im practicing this level just now especially from here 1:35 - its tricky but not quite as hard as ya think at first.
i had completely forgot about using item-2 on the disappearing blocks xD, but it would not have been fun that way.
I'm pretty sure "Tellie" was renamed "Telebomb" in Mega Man Zero 4, so that name makes sense (i.e. long distance bomb). As for "Prop Top," the prop is most likely short for propellor, which also makes great sense.
Remember boys and girls, never use the Bubble Lead near the door
Because of this level I threw my iPhone at a wall it didnt break though THANK GOD
you cant play megaman on iphone
Final fight bay area theme?
I forgot how hard the MM games were, have to watch a pro play it for tips. : )
I always had been hating those stone that appear and dissapear and the sound like in the minute 1:37
I love heatman so :3
well. youre right, i noticed its on hard. anyways the EU version is still much harder since heat man does attack all the time. your hard mode seems like the normal mode on the EU version to me. maybe ill post a video of it in a couple of days.
I remember why i went down to pick up that extre life thinking it's the end....
those bastards lied to me
How do u get passed those disappearing blocks?
0:59 i for some reason can not make this jump. but then again, im playing on a keyboard
Oh yeah I remember this stage many a rage quit. Anyway if you use the Bubble Lead he is basically dead it is SUPER effective!
how do u get the rush item i only got 3 and for me its useless!!
Did you know if you fight heat man in the castle, take his energy down to 1 hit, you hit him with his own weapon ( atomic fire) he gets all his energy back
Mute this video and play Martha & the Vandellas - Heatwave. It's perfect.
A fully charged atomic fire kills wood man in one shot.
he does die to TWO fully charged shots.... still pretty damn good
Used Item 2 for these blocks. No doubt that's the reason it was made.
Perhaps, perhaps not. Air Man's weapon works really nicely, damaging Wood Man through the shield.
Why don't you have the Bubble Lead to fight Heat Man?
It's easy to defeat with the buster
Yeah but the Bubble Lead take more health from Heat Man
:58 you can just use item 3 to go up the wall, and at 1:38 I would still just use item 2.
If remember correctly his weakness was Bubble Lead It absolutely ruined him.
my brother has Nintendo ds and has mega man 2 how do you get the #2 jet again
Scott Schwed air man
Defeat Air Man.
Always used to call Heat Man "Mr Toaster"
Heat Man's design reminded me of a cigarette lighter..
yes i know don't worry james vass will put mega man 2 on
This stage it's a fucking pain in the ass if you don't have the item 2...
@ISIMONI
Wastes Woodman with 1 full power shot.
I like how Heatman looks either like a flip-top lighter, or a square turtle. :)
I find Airman's weapon very useful for killing tellies in this level.
yes? yes!

@PimpMatt0 Actually, I'm in Wily's Castle now.
Guts tank wily machine 2 ph 1 and wood man are weak to atomic fire it's a good weapon
I was just using bubble lead on heat man all that time.
