First time I played this, I was so surprised with the doc robot stages. I was like "Wait, this game is way longer than I thought!" This game has like 18 stages whereas in Megaman 1, it has 10 stages. This is why Megaman 3 is one of my favourite NES games. You can see Capcom worked on the gameplay.

This was my first Mega Man in 1992 when I was 8. Amongst all the Mega Man games released on NES (1-6) this one was really special in every single way. Very hard, very long and the Soundtrack is bangin' bro. 😊 Especially the phantastic music brings back so many great memories. I love it! 😁

MM3 is the best classic Mega Man. Better controls, balanced weapons, Rush, Protoman and the awesome slide all add a lot to the series. I also don't see a problem with the level design and in fact enjoy the Wily stages WAY more than the ones in 2. Sure they're tricky but Rush is there to help if you get stuck.
MM5 completely shatters MM3's control. Shadow Blade was pretty much the one main weapon that was useful 90% of the time, despite being a nerfed version of Metal Blade. Rush and Protoman are cool additions, but Rush is just broken and Protoman is just stupid in MM3. The Wily Castle stages are still quite bad, especially the one with the Yellow Devil boss fight since there is no checkpoint right before the boss and if you've already taken all the weapon capsules, that's an instant game over unless you're willing to get mortally injured by the hornets to bypass the spikes. It's a solid title, but it's nowhere even close to the best.

Controller #2 push left when you fall into a pit. When your power is drained you can leap out and you're indestructible unless you re-energize. I think spikes will destroy you even in "God" mode.
My first mega man game...after spending hours knocking off 7 characters.....my mom got pissed off at me for playing too long and unplugged the Nintendo even today I will never forget that moment of pain..
proto man seems like an anti-hero, he works for dr wily and tries to best his brother megaman, so he seems like a villain, however he sometimes helps his brother too like when he gave him his shield, and at the end of some games instead of finishing him off when hes unconcious for whatever reason, he saves him and does that teleport thing and sometimes brings him to dr light. he helps megaman too, i think he has a little mercy and love in his brother still
I seem to remember in the manual that Protonsn wasn’t ever working for Doctor Wiley, and that when he shows up in the various levels he was trying o train Megaman for the challenges he faced. Do t ask me how I remember that.

Now, the current list is: MM4 MM6 MM7 MM9 MM10 MM11 MMIII MMIV MMV However, I now think MM3 beats out MM1, MM2, MM5, MM8, and is about tied with MM&B. And yes, I do mean Mega Man and Bass. It's got superior special weapons and much less padding, and despite the level design of the game being rather poor for Mega Man, it gets to the point, unlike MM3 which just dragged out for an eternity about halfway through the game just for the sake of adding time. In addition, the reason I regard MM&B higher than MM1, MM2, MM5, and MM8 is the fact that it allows you to play through the entire game as Bass, which is an enormous plus.

The latest Mega Man game (11) was awesome the only thing was it was kinda short after you beat the bosses and the showdown with Wiley was underwhelming. Other than that it was a great game!

It wasn't that hard. I think it took me an hour, maybe 90 minutes over the course of 2 days to complete it on the anniversary collection.

The latest Mega Man game (11) was awesome the only thing was it was kinda short after you beat the bosses and the showdown with Wiley was underwhelming. Other than that it was a great game!
