You’ll be surprised to know that you’ve already reacted to some Australian artists ~ The Bee Gees and AC/DC
This song was recorded at the Civic Theatre, Newcastle Australia. This was the encore song from her concert. The audio was recorded at the mixing desk & when they listened to the play back they realised what a very special performance she'd given - there was no camera crew filming the concert so Kasey reached out through her social media platforms asking any fans at the concert to send in whatever they had on their phones & hey presto....a music video was born.
Kasey is a huge Eminem fan. During Covid lockdown she had the time to rearrange this masterpiece and make it her own.

The thing that impresses me the most about this performance is the way Kasey has moulded her interpretation of the song around the way Eminem has crafted his (brilliant) lyrics. The first 2 verses are written in the third person. They describe the fears and frustrations of a man looking from the outside. Her low key approach acts as a perfect narrative for these verses. In the third verse (the mood all changed) the lyrics switch to be written in the first person. This allows her to unleash the raw emotion of the 3rd verse. The fear, frustration and determination now become real because they are coming from within rather than the external narrative. A masterful performance.

Eminem brought the lyrics but Kasey brought the emotion and gave it a totally different feel. Brilliant. Best "cover" ever. It was so good she was given permission to post it on her Spotify account.
“I ain’t no little girl” is one of her best. She released “am I not pretty enough” when her first album was ignored by radio. The same year lose yourself was released. It feels like this song has been an anthem to her life. Em recognised she made this version her own and gave her the right to sell it on Spotify if people want to support an incredible artist.
@stanroach2842 Yeah, no. Bass brothers do own parts of some of his early work. One of the brothers sold his parts years ago. This song was produced by Eminem, Jeff Bass, and Luis Resto, however, Eminem is sole songwriter on this song, so he can allow or deny people using it. If Kasey would use instrumental, that would be a different story.

Yes! Em gave her permission to post this. The performance was grabbed by multiple fans in the audience and she put out to the audience that night to send in their clips to help make this video.
Also.. that guitarist that came in half way is her father, which lends to why their voices blend so perfectly.
I listen to this version of the song constantly now. No disrespect to the GOAT. But Kasey made this song hers. Pure fire.
That's not her father. Her Dad is sitting playing slide guitar. A lot of people think the guitarist/ backing vocalist is her brother Nash, but it's band member Brandon Dodd.

First time I heard this was 6th Jan this year, live at a festival in Kiama, Australia. It was mind blowing, I was like 'this was worth the ticket price on it's own!' It really felt like a life altering experience. Now I need to see her again so I can reallllly take it in 😊

There is a young artist (sorry I don’t remember her name) that was on Australia Got’s Talent. She did a beautiful mix up of Boy George song Karma Chameleon. It was a blues version she composed herself and while Boy George was on the panel, it took him a bit to recognize his most famous song. She was brilliant!

You just don't know many artists are Australian.
First, her voice is amazing. Simply amazing.
Having said that, I really was not feeling the first two verses. I wanted to like it. I love the song and I love her voice, but the two of them together just weren't doing it for me.
Then the third verse happened and she hooked me. That went so hard. Will definitely listen to this again.
