No one worked harder to please his fans. He loved them so much, he gave them gifts and love. He also was a black belt in Karate so he moved easily around the stage. He knew how to have fun and treated his band and singers so great. He always gave them Love and attention. No one like this man. everyone you see now that went beyond his death in 1977 is just a copy of the original. He set the styles in music and culture. Being a child of the 50's when he came out, my little red headed brother was about 8 years old combed his hair like Elvis and turned up his collar. I had a Poodle full skirt with his face on it. Ha. I was 12 in 1956, he shook up the world and is still a force in the history of music. Thanks so much for your great reactions of Elvis. Be Blessed.

I fully agree with you. Unfortunately, he worked himself literally to death. And it was the Colonel (alleged colonel) Tom Parker that got him hooked on all those pills which was his downfall. But he did go out there and Elvis was born to be a showman. I would have loved to be in a teenager back then and gone to one of his shows. Could you imagine how cool that would be? Take care of yourself.

I agree with you in part. However, he started using uppers and downers in the service. Secondly, he was extremely ill man. He had an auto immune disease, which was extremely difficult to diagnose in 1935, it's still difficult to diagnose today when he died 9 of 11 body systems were failing. There's a really good history of his medical condition poverty in southern culture and how it created him as a person The book is entitled destined to die young... Addicted to pills a 100% colonel Parker, I can't stand the man He not only used Elvis as a cash cow, but he stifled him creatively which is in my humble opinion is one of the thing that contributed to his overall psyche and down fall.

welcome to the Elvis family😊 once you start you wont be able to stop😂 i was 5 when i fell in love with Elvis and watched him in movies . He passed away when i was 6 and i was so sad i cried all day in kindergarten. of course my teacher asked me why i was so sad and when i told her it was because Elvis died she looked at me puzzled. well the years have passed and just before the Elvis movie in 2022 came out i rediscovered Elvis and learned so much about him through documentsries on youtube and watched him sing live i fell in love all over again. he is the king of cool, the king of kindness ,( btw theres a documentary called king of kindness too) the king of style( who else was wearing mascara and pink lacey shirts in the 50 s out on the town..) and the king of Rock n roll. it all started with Elvis. so please also look at some documentaries… there are so many great songs but i will recommend those 2 to react to: never been to Spain and love letters. also, if you want to see the king of cool on his way to work in las Vegas check out the link i sent you ❤Nadja

Suspicious Minds is my favorite song by Elvis!!! Thanks for reacting to it!! His voice is sooo sultry in this song!! His command of the stage is why he is called the greatest performer of all time and since his death, 47 years ago, nobody has taken that title from him! He makes you FEEL the song!! If you want to check out another mega song of his, Jail Houserock is Epic, sexuality personified!! He was young when he did Jailhouse Rock, so his voice was edgier and will give you another perspective of what he could do with his voice! If you want to hear more of his vocal ability, with out all the physicality then I suggest...If I Can Dream from the 68' Comeback Special!! Another great one is, Don't that was remastered with The Royal Philhatmonic Orchestra, his voice is Divine in this one!! It also would be interesting to see you do a reaction to the Bee Gees Words song and then compare it to Elivis's cober of tje song!

Great Reaction to this amazingly energetic performance at Las Vegas 1970 dinner concert at the International Hotel. This performance was included in the new Elvis movie, performed wonderfully by actor Austin Butler, who did it perfectly after a good deal of practice. Elvis just moved as the music moved in his body. Nothing ever choreographed, just spontaneous. Elvis was the first singer to ‘dance’ on stage & he took the 1950s by storm, as a teenager, causing near riots as he performed. Young people absolutely loved it. Their parents were horrified & as he drew black & white people together for his performances, he was flouting segregation laws in the south & was seen as dangerous by the authorities at a time when white people just never mixed with black. But Elvis had been raised in abject poverty, one of just four very poor white families living within a very poor black community. So he was always very comfortable with black people & throughout his career, he had black backup singers & if he was told they could not be on stage, he would say he would not perform unless they were allowed on stage with him. When appearing on televised shows, he was actually censored from the waist down, so that he was filmed from the waist up, so as not to shock people. He was threatened with arrest & jail if he continued his movements on stage, but he refused to buckle under these threats. He was arrested, still a teenager (a rebellious one) & would have been jailed but the authorities knew they really would have a riot of young people on their hands, so he was drafted into the army & soon packed off to Germany. He was already famous by then, but they thought he would fade into obscurity out of sight, out of mind. He was very close to his mother, & when he was drafted into the army, she died of a heart attack. He was 22 years of age, & he never got over losing her. He returned to America after 2 years serving in post-war Germany, & reinvented himself as a Hollywood leading actor, making 31 movies, most of them with him singing & dancing, until he made a Comeback & once again began performing before live audiences, his first love. The rest is history. A remarkable man & an incredible singer. When he died at age 42, the world lost its brightest shining star, but he has Never been forgotten.

SOME BACKGROUND INFO: The song written by Mark James in '68 is based on one night when James was fooling around on his guitar & came up with what he thought was a catchy melody. At the time, he was married to his first wife but still had feelings for his childhood sweetheart, who was married back in Houston. James' wife had suspicions about his feelings. He felt it was a confusing time for him and that all three were "caught in this trap that they could not walk out of."
Elvis always did unexpected things, whether it was a movement, also a change of the lyric @ last minute -- always something different w-his performances -- you never knew what might happen.
The change of lighting @ end is called fade-out fade-in & supposedly according to what's been written, Elvis didn't know it was going to happen, but it was an absolutely PERFECT finish for this song.
This is from the DVD "That's The Way It is" filmed by MGM over 6 different performances & if you notice the jumpsuit he wore was called the Concho (silver circles) but @ very end he was in a different jumpsuit -- the Chain suit w-brown leather tabs. For some reason that was changed for the ending of this performance.

Awesome reaction guy ! He commanded the stage like a lion on the savannah . His band was one with his moves . From this same performance check out Polk Salad Annie ( similar to this performance in energy ) and Bridge over trouble water , the beauty of his voice is amazing .
