You know before I started watching this I thought 20 minutes was going to be a ridiculously short period of time to react to this and was expecting to be disappointed. However, this was masterfully edited, great job and great reaction! You’ve got real talent! Thanks for the great reaction.
You had a good eye. That WAS the Home Alone house. John Hughes directed this as well as producing the first two Home Alone movies. He loved shooting on location in Chicago. New subscriber, by the way!
If you enjoyed this movie and already seen Uncle Buck,, I'd recommend Dutch (1991), it's like a mix between Uncle buck and Plantes, train and Automobile, John Candy wasn't in this one, but it was still a pretty good John Hugues movie (written by).
You know, I haven’t actually seen Uncle Buck. I think it might be time. My dad loves Dutch but I’ve never seen it myself. Unfortunately it’s not available anywhere 😞
Another Thanksgiving movie that came out a few years after this one, is Dutch, starring Ed O'Neill. It's criminally underrated. And if you want a great Steve Martin movie, try All of Me, co-starring Lily Tomlin.
Oh I would love to do Dutch. It was a favorite of my dad’s but I never actually saw it myself. Unfortunately it’s not available to stream or rent anywhere that I’ve found 😔 But if I ever find it, it’s happening!
As an '80's teen, my 2 fave directors are Stanley Kubrick & John Hughes. All Hughes are great! He started as a writer for National Lampoon mag which led to him writing scripts for his 1st two big successes & must-sees before directing, "Vacation" (with Candy cameo) & "Mr Mom." He also did one starring Kelvin Bacon called "She's Having A Baby", but not his best imo. He's most known by younger Gens for "Home Alone", but that was after his bonafide Classics, "Ferris Bueller's Day Off", "The Breakfast Club", ""Uncle Buck" (starring Candy) & my fave, "Sixteen Candles", as well as "Pretty In Pink", "Weird Science" & "Some Kind Of Wonderful." As far as Steve Martin, if haven't seen seemingly little known EXCELLENT Ron Howard directed flick "Parenthood", you're missing out, friend! Was Keanu Reeves 2nd role & Jauquin Phoenix's very 1st! See ya! ✌🌎❤
@@RhetoricalThrill Heard you mention Michigan trip to Fla, so guess you at least have family up there? I'm originally from the South & when I first hit Chicago in early '90's I thought about my young fave actor John Belushi & legendary Second City & of course John Hughes, Ferris & Sixteen Candles. I was there on tour playing in a Punk band. Don't know why but someone ripped a toilet out of the club's bathroom (was a great reception/show🤘😅), threw it in back of a truck & took us to John Hughes/Sixteen Candles Land suburbia for after party & we sat in a backyard that had train track running through & they put toilet on tracks & we watched it explode when train came through! Some dumb shit, but the fans loved us & wanted to show us a good time! & boy, did they!🤣🤣🤣 Was my adolescent dream come true to party in Ferris' Hood! 🤗💕 Just an Old Gen Xer's story for ya, friend!! This is the first reaction of yours that I have seen. But it has got me to subscribe. Am I allowed to recommend some movies to react to? The Green Mile Shawshank Redemption Gran Torino
A great movie IMO, had me in tears. I really luvd the ending. It's funny how Family Guy took a heartfelt moment and made it slightly funny while still maintaining the emotion of the moment! Luv John Candy. If you haven't seen Armed and Dangerous maybe you should check it out! Great job!♥🛸
@@RhetoricalThrill you know when a movie is a gem when you see everyone and their grandma react to it and it's never boring to watch said reactions, may I suggest you to react to Who framed Roger Rabbit (1988) next?
Hey Girl. Don't apologize to anyone for not having seen a movie! If you and others haven't then there be no one to watch making a reaction to!! Well the stuff with the airplane is not surprising, they can't control the weather, However with the train is. I'm a RailRoad Engineer and I'm here to declare that this DOES NOT occur. Even if one the Hammerheads breaks down the other one can still easily pull the cars. If not the rail company can get another Hammerhead to your spot pretty quick.Maybe trax problems can happen but you will only be delayed and the RR will get you too the location you got tickets to .Bus to the next yard etc. Notice how large the seats are compaired to an airplane and this is only economy class their showing! So NO smartass comments about trains. The reason why this was set around T day is because the Day before T day is the most heavily travelled day of the year in the USA. Hence why some of the things happened. Booked up hotels, no car rentals available.. John Candy was one of the Best comedians of the 70s/80s/ Such a shame he passed away. Those 2 might have done some more great films. First time watching your channel. You did an Above Average review Id say. Well Christmas is coming up so some other great Xmas holiday films are ""Home Alone 1 and 2". If you like comedy check out the Pink Panther movie series. The ""Pink Panther '63 and Shot in the Dark '64" are very funny followed by ""Revenge of the Pink Panther" in the '70s and another two or three, I forget the names. Only watch the ones having Peter Sellers however. ""Smokey and the Bandit '78. is another one my favorites. The sequels kinda dumb.IF you like Horror the Exorcist '73, Alien'79 and Aliens '86 are my choices for the best. If you like Documentry then Id suggest "Cherynobl" its an HBO mini series about the nuclear reactor meltdown in the Soviet Union in the '86. Very Accurate! Well keep doing em and I'll keep a watching. Happy holidays.
