Playing lottery is a form of gambling rite and I thought as Christians gambling is a sin i thought
Eating hooved animals is also a sin for Christians.
@@NeonxNomad remember when God spoke to Peter about the gentiles using sorts of animals as an analogy
Never Seen a Church that would not take money from a Lottery winner
Private Jets are expensive...
How would they know if the person won the lottery unless the person tells them? The Bible says to give what we purpose in our heart to give.
Wasting or squandering money is sinful. If you are addicted to anything but God it is a sin. If you are a slave to lottery, that is a sin. If lottery becomes your God, that is sinful. If you are constantly using your money for lottery but you dont sow in the kingdom and in other people's lives, then that is a sin. If you just play it once or twice then ofcourse it is not a sin or it won't lead you to hell. Some sins lead to death as the Bible and some dont but we must be very careful as believers to be good stewards of whatever God has given us. We must not be lovers of money, which is why many people play the lottery so much because they crave money so much.
Playing the lottery is flirting with sin.
Hey christians,
It is really up to each of you.
When you think about all of the money a person "wastes" in their life, a dollar a play isn't really that much, especially when you consider all the endorfins (sp?) you create when you do it.
If you say, "Then it is a drug!", I am going to agree with you 100%. Drinking that cup of coffee in the morning is also a drug delivery exercise, but I don't hear Cristianity reeling over that one.
We live in a fallen world, carrying around fallen natures.
We all need Jesus more and more.
It's amazing how winners of lotteries are broke and miserable.
I call it the paradox of lotteries...
Interest on investments is what makes sense.
Gambling is a love of money, greed, and idolatry. Live for the Lord and not your flesh. Store up your treasure in heaven for you can take no earthly possessions with you.
Well there is alot to say actually but being part of things that concern God is always my goal
I am so sick of wasting my money on lotto, I gave up Monday and Wednesday lotto I so now I got to get the strength and courage to give up Tuesday Thursday and Saturday and then I will be free from 1 worldly thing in my life cos the lord says in the bible, what is it to a man if he gains the whole world and loses he's soul.
I feel like gambling for lottery is the beginning of the breakage of your Dependency on God. That’s what I feel the Holy Spirit is saying.
Who are you depending on to finance you? Did not God say test Him on this one thing-by Giving and Lending Generously (that person is Blessed as Psalms 112 also says).
Trust in God. God Bless
AMEN AMEN PRAY 4 MY HEALTH 🙏🙏🙌👏👏👍👍❤️❤️❤️🇰🇪🇰🇪
I play occasionally (at most 10x’s a year) and do not feel convicted. So that’s not MY temptation. But for those who religiously gamble i believe it IS a sin.
They have fallen into temptation
It has become their idol
They place their provision in it and not God
All gambling is a sin, it shows a covetous nature.
the lottery is your wants not your needs. so we are to trust God for our needs. isn't that a form of greed banking on the lottery?
Greed- intense and selfish desire for something, especially wealth, power, or food.
If a person plays only when the jackpot is large and with the motive to help others, does that fall under the category as greed?
Gambling is a door of temptation ( especially after a win). There are numerous scriptures that warn us about temptations
Great answer, Honeydogg. Whatever is not of God, is sin. That's how all these subjects are covered in the KJ Bible.
Forgive forgive sorry Lord Jesus Christ help us
After tithing and your bills are paid your children are fed your retirement is taking care of by putting money away if you have a couple bucks play one set of numbers it's cheap entertainment imagining what you can do with all that money if God decides to bless you with it but if you take care of everything else before you play the lotto you will always win in life you may never win the lotto but you'll win in life
Just Bet on Red it’s the right thing to do!
Playing the lottery.
Mmmmmmm.
Back when, everyone around me were pretty much in the same boat as I was, living paycheck to paycheck, except I was single. I developed a habit of 'giving a few bucks' to families every month. Well, it 'got around' that I was doing it, and I would have people coming up to me after church, and I knew what they wsnted.
This isn't what I intended at all.
I had to stop doing it.
Playing the lottery, you think if you win all the people you could help. But, would you actually come down to helping them?
Most times not. The bigger house, more expensive cars, all of your "new friends" is intoxicating.
I was working for a multimillionaire restuarant franchise owner. We were in a parking lot, and a woman approached us with her hand out. I was curious what he would do. He said to her, "What would you do if we weren't here. This isn't a plan."
money is not a sin because nowadays we have to use money to buy thing's for ourselves no matter what. and when a person win the lottery they must use the money for good things not for bad things. I will always follow God and Jesus the son of God

I believe that throwing the money God has given you for your provisions away on gambling, is most definitely a sin. Stay away from it brother.
What about investing in stocks??Another form of money exchanging, also Bingo.
I don't think God has any problem with us investing for retirement. That is smart planning. Black Jack on the other hand can wipe out you out or put you in serious debt. Bingo??? still gambling but wouldn't take your life's savings. These are only my feelings on the subject. I stay away from all of it.
Well if lottery is gambling and gambling is a sin, is it righteous for the church to accept gambling fortunes for tithes and offerings?
It depends how it's offered. If it's offered as a recompense for the sin of entering the lottery in the first place, then I believe it's ok. If it's offered in the abundance of this person's newfound wealth, then no. I am reminded of Zacchaeus, who gave away his wealth and repaid back four times to those he cheated.
How does recompensating your fortune to the church is ok when the church was never harmed or deceived in the process of receiving your gambling fortune?
@@GT-OD This is why I mentioned Zacchaeus. Zacchaeus had so much wealth that even after repaying those he cheated 4x, he had money left over. They give back to God (as churches do the Lord's work). The Church should have programs to donate to the poor, like Zacchaeus did. Or the person can give more directly to the poor. For such a large amount, it would typically be through a ministry.
So essentially your saying fortune that is manifested by sin can be or should be used for righteousness (giving) towards people to be recompense of your greed. In which most lottery winners would have to do to for claims on federal tax.
@@GT-OD Obviously there is plenty of money after paying tax, which as far as I know, is taken out before payment. Not sure what your purpose is here, but I'm done.
It is said that all is good but not everything is beneficial to you. Make your choice after losing thousands of dollars then you will wake up. You should've given to tithes & offerings & charity. Because some will be given back to you 30, 60, 100 fold manifold blessings.'Jesus'
Is stock market is good for a Believer
Stock market is like a casino with slot machine. If you don't know what you're doing you will lose.
If playing the lottery a sin, going to the casino and playing slots a sin also???.
Yes because Roulette has better odds so play that and bet on Red...
Lottery is a sin, gambling is a sin... You do not get to pick what is a sin and what isn't a sin.
0:04 😂😭😭
Did not the Roman soldiers gamble for Jesus robe while he is on the cross dying? I believe that gambling is a sin and it will send you to hell.
Ok thank you.
No I don’t think so
Is Wall Street a sin?
Well Shorters and Hedge Funds are the sinners on Wal-Street. Apes strongly together GME
Wall street is rigged and Naked shorting is theivery!! it is literally a "gamble" to put money into the market. i believe the Lord weighs the heart, what are the intentions is what He is concerned with. Hebrews 4:12
Malachi 3: 10 and the Christians gambling too... Offerings and tithes and can't help the poor...
Thank you for sharing this scripture and your thoughts.
The wise have to live off the fools and when I was homeless 6 times in my country... Nobody helped me even up to 2020 my friend kicked me out in the midst of the coronavirus plague... This world isn't my home and I don't need people.
Y'all played the Lottery with The country 4years ago with who y'all called "God's MAN" what was the prize
First #early
I don't think it is a sin to play lottery. It is one of those small businesses entirely up to the player to understand and accept the risks involved which include the risk of losing over and over again, and its consequent addiction in the hope of winning until may be one lucky chance or more!
You just contradicted yourself.
It's a sin if you don't win !
