If one who loves God spends his money on a chance to win any amount of money, he would still love God and use those winnings to His Glory. The sin is not in the lottery. The sin is in loving money and one could love money through playing the lottery, working a job, borrowing money, investing....etc. and not care anything about worshipping God or loving Him in ways beyond money. In other words, this is a matter of the heart. Does your heart belong to God or to money? If your heart loves money, then may the Lord get rid of not just the lottery in your life but any undue financial means until you learn how to live not by money alone but primarily by every Word that proceeds from His Mouth.
The mental image of our Lord and Saviour standing in line to purchase a lottery ticket - That should give you the answer brother's and sister's. Great little message from Dr York.
Not really because he didn’t have a relationship or have a crush on anyone and I can’t imagine him having sex even with a wife there are lots of things that are not sins that are normal for us that Jesus did not do because he came here for a short time and to complete a mission and not become distracted but just because I can’t imagine Jesus getting married and sleeping with his wife doesn’t make it a sin it’s just not a Jesus like thing I can imagine because he is our holy saviour and marriage and particularly sex seem to carnal and human to me

I know the addiction he spoke of. It’s so easy to believe the next time gonna be my big break. This never happened to me. Thank God He allowed me to have a mind to stop before I basically went broke behind lottery tickets
I played recently and felt terrible about losing because there is so many grandiose things that I would love to do for myself and others. But after watching this and Dave Ramsey rant about the lottery I will have to trust that God will manifest all that's in my heart another way. Father forgive me for suggesting how You should provide for me and being a poor steward. 😔
The money you put into the lottery will not be thrown into the trash can. The money that the other person wins will be spent to fulfill his wishes. Many people will live from this. The only sensible thing you can do is to reduce your expenses for a lottery draw to the minimum and that way you can still play.
It's fascinating to note that 85% of people who win are, within 5 years or less, right back to the financial position they started at. Not to mention the many stories of greed and envy from winning it tearing apart families and friendships.
I knowa man who won the lottery for big money. That was the death of him. His family and friends worried him to death about the money. He ended up having a stroke and died. He was a likeable man.
The problem is not with the money but the man. Money isn't bad but the love of it. Money is neutral: you can use it to feed someone or to kill someone. Money doesn't change a man, it reveals himself.
I myself am a poor believer. I play the lottery. It's a choice I made, to play one or two numbers for less than 10 $ per week. Being partly disabled, I cannot find work or perform it properly. What else should I do, I need hope for a better future. I read in 2 Kings 7:3 about people as myself, facing a dilema... They gambled with their lives, and won... Here is the verse: 3. Now there were four men with tza’arat at the entrance of the gate; and they said to one another, “Why should we sit here till we die? 4 If we say: ‘Let’s go into the city,’ then the famine is in the city, so we will die there; but if we sit still here, we’ll die also. So come, let’s go into the camp of the Arameans. If they spare us, we’ll live; and if they kill us, we’ll just die.”
@Vivian Thank you, the battle is raging but with the Lord Jesus defeated the enemy from the beginning 🙏 😅 Where would we be today if David had not confronted Goliath with his sling and stone?
I was addicted to lottery a few months ago, to thr point that I have a notebook solely for checking winning numbers and guessing numbers. Still being tempted to play every now and then but glory to God Through Jesus Christ I don't entertain the temptation anymore. God will provide thru hard work. God bless us all
I question if those pastors really believe in Jesus Christ or if they are just wolf’s in sheep’s clothing like the Bible talks about. Jesus said you will know a good tree and a bad tree by the fruits it produces. Actions are louder the words. Hope that helps you 🙂
Listen guys.. it's all based on ones perspective of what the lottery means to them. If someone believes it's a sin, it's a sin. If someone believes theres no harm in buying a ticket, then it's not a sin. We are not hear to live under religions rules, but to live by the bible. The bible says to treat our money with respect. If we aren't controlled by the addictive nature of the lottery, how is it a sin?
No. the main reason is that lottery is dirty money. your taking the money of many families that could've put their money into their children's mouth instead of buying a ticket. As a Christian i would never buy a lottery ticket its a sin. You wonder why theres so many stories of lottery winners wishing theyve never won the lottery in the first place.
I won’t lie, I was of the mindset that there was nothing wrong with it because I’m working for the money to buy the ticket and I’m not stealing anything, that was how I rationalised it to myself, even though I don’t really play the lottery. I genuinely can’t remember the last time I purchased a ticket
It is a form of entertainment. You can use the same logic by saying “imagine if every Christian who subscribes to a television package, if they would donate that money instead, how much good they could do in the world.” But you could use that for any form of entertainment from watching tv and movies to eating out at restaurants or going on vacations. Now I think if someone does play they should do it responsibly and not spend their mortgage payments, but I can also say that about going on vacation on a credit card.
Wow I'm sure glad I didn't fall for that temptation this morning! I almost bought a scratcher ticket because I saw Someone else get one. I walked back into the store after I had just left and realized, hey what am I doing, and just walked back out without a ticket.. It just didn't feel right. It didn't feel like a Christian thing to do. And plus, it was my last $5 for lunchtime. I's gotta eat man!
Soooooooo, ya'll say the lottery is a sin, but you celebrate Christmas where MOST Christians don't give to the poor or the needy, but give gifts to children with full bellies, video games, and a room full of toys. You celebrate Easter by having Easter egg hunts(at the church by the way) and bring Easter eggs and baskets into the sanctuary. Wow!!
If you want continue to play lottery just do it, stop trying to find excuses 😂 the question asked to him is about the lottery not Christmas, you don't what will be his response about Christmas or Easter. Also you have to remember we are called to follow what the word of God says, not what other people do, your relationship with God is personal not collective. If other Christians celebrate Christmas or Easter the way you discribe it, it's an individual problem, it's not what the word of God says so there is no connection between what he is saying and your comment. Don't blame him for what other people do, he is answering from a theological perspective.
the second you start going down this philosophical path , you then have to question if you can picture Jesus with an iphone , wearing a nike shirt , with a gold chain ? now just because you can't picture a man 2000 years ago doing a certain thing or looking a certain way doesn't mean its a salvation issue? It's also a generalisation of people who have millions of dollars don't work or bring glory to God. It's more of an opinion piece
@Michael Maar I hear this argument a lot. I say, where is your heart? Is it that of a pagans? Or that of a Christian? We celebrate the Word becoming flesh, Christ crucified and resurrected. Christ come to destroy the works of the devil. That's exactly what He did. The pagans say this..."Christians just stole pagan holidays"...NO! Christ ran off all the false gods and goddesses when He came and that's why it is what it is now. Are things perfect? No, but it will come to its fullness when Christ returns. So, where's your/our heart? Are we so fundamentalist that we won't celebrate our Saviour? Everything we do should be for His glory. Integrity tells me to tell the truth about the corruptible man called santa clause and four footed beasts... reference Romans 1:23.
@@faithhope8537 . My heart is obedience to my FATHER and my BIG BROTHER because HE saved me from the streets and a whole lot more than that and saved me from everlasting torment. Now, what you chose was “The Christian and Lottery”: Is it right for a Christian to play the lottery? Wonderful! Now, how come a lot of you were interested in a lottery? It shows you’re interested in getting more money. I’d like to explain the lottery to you, because I realize that a lot of times many equate the lottery with gambling. I’d read to you some of the differences in the operation of a lottery, so you can understand it. Lottery: 1. Is a contest in which tokens are distributed or sold, the winning token(s) being secretly pre-determined or ultimately selected in a random drawing. 2. A selection made by lot from a number of applicants or competitors. 3. An activity or event regarded as having an outcome depending on fate. So, these are the three methods that lotteries are drawn. Now, the difference between this and gambling is the inclusion of a ‘wager’. In gambling, there’s a wager. There’s a pledge; you make a pledge of something and then with a hope to win it, which if you don’t win, whatever it is you pledged is gone. Now, that’s where people get into trouble; some pledge their homes, some pledge their car, some pledge their fortune, and win or lose until they’re addicted to doing it and then frustration sets in. And, that’s why a lot of times, people are told to stay out of gambling. But, lottery is not gambling and it doesn’t a wager. Now, am I recommending lottery? Not really, but I just want to you what it’s about and the fact that, in the bible, lottery comes from the word ‘lot,’ so you remember that. In Proverbs Chapter 16 and verse 33: “The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof is of the LORD”. [Proverbs 16:33] That’s one. And then, Chapter 18, same book, and verse 18: “The lot causeth contentions to cease, and parteth between the mighty.” [Proverbs 18:18] And then, in the Book of Acts, over in the New Testament, Acts Chapter 1 verse 26, talking about the disciples, when they came together after the ascension of Jesus Christ, Peter [being the leader] addressed them talking about the demise of Judas Iscariot and the need for him to be replaced by someone else. And then, he asked them to cast their lots. And, in verse 26, he says “And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.” [Acts 1:26] Now, this is the only place in the New Testament where they cast lots. After this time (the next chapter) they received the Holy Spirit and they could walk by the Spirit without having to cast lots to find out ‘what was the mind of God.’ The idea here is casting of lots is not necessarily wrong; in fact, it’s a game. So, the lottery is a game. If something is wrong with it, it’s just like a Christian not playing a game; so, it’s a game. You win or lose, but you’re not making a pledge to it; so, that’s what it’s about. So, is it right for a Christian to play a lottery? It is okay, depending on the terms. So, remember that; if the terms are not acceptable to you, don’t play it.
Supernatural X : you make a valid point because as a born again Christian I been thinking about it. You explained very nicely from scriptures. I think problem we have as Christians is sometimes being very close minded and not not scrutinising everything to its tiniest details. And most importantly using scriptures to explain and understand.
I play lottery sometimes but not all the time . It's cost £2.50 per ticket and I don't get addicted to it. I only play sometimes It's because my motive is to help all the churches in the Philippines. A lot of churches there lack of finances and I feel sorry also to most of my friends struggling for food. And the Bible school was close because no one can sponsor also mostly of pastors went abroad to work as house keeper to just earn money because the life really there is so poor. I break poverty in my country in Jesus name
Wow.... you had me until "these are not people that are well-dressed" etc.... They're usually lost anyway. Maybe you're not judging Christians *about* the lottery, but you sure are judging these people playing the lottery, regardless of their beliefs. Remember Proverbs 31:7, even though you would normally not apply it to Christian living, let the poor have their hopes and comforts, and minister to them *through* that instead of looking down on them. :(
Yeah, that was a poor choice of words to describe a person. If you can judge a person's heart by the clothes he/she wears, you're a better man than me.
There is s difference between lottery and gambling. You stake something to gamble but you don't stake anything for lottery. As long as you take it as a game, it's fine. But when you take it as a means of livelihood then, it's a sin.
What about stocks and bonds? Isnt that a gamble? Or what about those who are a "workaholic"? What about those who pay their bills, save their money, give to charity and play lotto in moderation? Not looking for a license to do anything, but more clarification.
i stopped listening from 1:36 "i can not picture Jesus playing the lottery" well... there is a lot of thing i can not pciture Jesus doing as well, such as getting married, having childrens, falling in love, paying a ticket for an airplane etc. Jesus said, He was the way and truth, that doesnt imply we need to become literally in Jesus in order to be good christians. what make us perfect it is not the bunch of biblical verses we have memorized, but what we love. the way of Jesus was compassion, kindness, love, mercy. you should stop preaching puritanism.
If people would use me more for my purpose of pressure washing homes and driveways and/or I could find a job would be great and hopefully working around a good bunch of folks .. I would pass the lottery tickets up.....and stack it up and work on bringin myself back up to par before it is too late would be nice. I pray everyday
Some proclaiming christian are disagree about this because they seek comfort in this world rather comfort in the presence in God.. Being empty is blessed, God alone is more than the things of this world.

First episode of gambling I know of is when the casting of lots occured to see who got to take the cloth Jesus was stripped of before they hung him on a cross...I know a lot of people who buy lottery tickets, but just cant bring myself to do it...
But Jesus pulled a coin out of the mouth of a fish to pay taxes. The reason he wouldn't is because He would win every time and He really doesn't need to. Plus it's based in materialism. The reasons I think pastors secretly don't want people to win the lottery, is because it makes them less dependent on the state and church. I have thought a lot and read the bible a lot, I still can't see why don't play the lottery other than addition to gambling.
Now I get it, I am Christian I spend $22 every week to buy lottery, I was questioning myself if God allowed gamble , now I get it , no more spending on lottery, I will add on my tithe ,thanks for sharing Pastor 😊❤❤❤❤
I can be guilty of this having addiction to lottery and I sit here right now I bought one $5 lottery ticket and for some reason I had to stop in my mind I couldn't really tell those my own thought or the Lord speaking through me saying do not scratch the lottery ticket off no matter if it's not a winner or if it is if you love me throw it away I've done this a couple times but the other times I didn't. I don't buy lottery ticket or scratch offs every single day but it's usually every time I get paid every month because I'm on disability. I told myself a few minutes ago why is it so hard for me to give up that lottery I think it's because our selfish greediness and our sinful nature. And I told the Lord before that I don't want money to get between me and him are to separate me from him or to lose my focus on him I know the Lord knows everything that I want what I need what I really don't need what I can handle and can't handle. I just need to remember to be content with food and clothing and even though I suffer with chronic lyme disease some of the things I can't do anymore and what's hard is my chronic gut issues that I can't work a hard physical job anymore because I'm fatigue all the time. But I know I can't give up Faith on the Lord do My Savior Jesus Christ that I need to remember if it's not his will to get me better or if it is I just need to trust the Lord with all my heart soul mind and strength I think one thing I want to get better is my gut issues. If there's any brother or sister in Christ can you pray for me that the Lord will keep me strong and keep me rooted and grounded within him and his word and to leave me to be patient with family members friends and strangers if they don't have the relationship with the Lord through Jesus or anything in that nature because I don't know if they truly repented of their sins but only the Lord knows that. I believe I'm the only one in the family that has a relationship with the Lord that has a strong prayer life and reads his word everyday. My mom believes in Jesus Christ I think she believes I know she believes I have a couple other family members that I don't really for sure know but I cannot judge but also we can know by their fruits too.
Simply bible says for earning money lottery is not at all the platform...(gambling). And proverbs 16:33 says even winning lottery in the hands of lord god. But you can pray to god for winning the lottery.dont ask it for wrong motives...
My wife bought lottery tickets, And we both work, can we safe money easy, no? By winning the lottery it cam help us but good shoes and clothing for our kids and for us self, and instead of giving 5 cents to the church we can give more. But when you win the lottery and you do wrong and think of yourself that cam be wrong.
What if the Holy Spirit directed an obedient Apostle to get quick fruits, and plant rapidly? What if God wanted to show you His glory can be shown through anything? You just don't know what the Holy Spirit may direct one to do.
I highly doubt there is any Christian organization would refuse an offering that would pay off their Church campuses, fund new out reach programs and tithe, even if it was from a lucky lottery winner. I "believe" I would actually make a difference for the Good Word to be spread than to keep it all selfishly.
So paying for the service of organizing, promotion, and distribution of winnings not the same? Work is not mutually profitable, but a necessity for survival in a capitalist economy.
Interesting how Christ-centered activity-like charity, reading our Bible, worshiping-require no justification. Consider that when you defend your gambling hobby.
@@veemon9280 But running prostitution rings and embezzling does. Again, it's probably not a mortal sin but don't dare try to conform God's Word to your modern living. Go forward unburdened if you will, but stop patting yourself on the back.
It seems to me if you follow the logical conclusion of your argument, this would mean that no Christian should ever spend money on any recreational endeavor. Why? After all, wouldn't the money be better spent in missions. I don't think this has been thought out very well.
What is the thought on a sweepstake? A sweepstake is a type of contest where a prize or prizes may be awarded to a winner or winners. More than often no purchase is necessary. By definition, the winner is determined by (luck) rather than skill. So is there a difference in principle between a sweepstake or lottery for a Christian ✝️?
What if you only do it to prevent yourself from going HOMELESS ( and loosing all your stuff that you do have ) and only for ENOUGH to be able to do that and also PRAY to win that money ? As DAMAGE CONTROL/STOP and STOP LOSS in your life ?
What can someone do if a non committed Christian asks for a prayer if the non committed Christian is at a fixed or facing challenges that God may see the Christian through. Thanks
I wonder why Christians are fond of judging and condemning. Lottery is just a game of mathematics. Playing with numbers to win a price. What is the sin in this? It is a sin to you, if you see it as a sin. To me lottery is a another Chanel of investment to earn some extra income if I win. If I don't win, my money goes to the government as a source of revenue to develop my nation. As simple as that. Is it not the same Christians taking part in the American raffle lottery to win travelling visa to the US? is that also a sin?

My friend securing common loan facility from the bank is not easy at all and when you acquire the loan, look at the pressure they will put on you the pay off the loan and the interest. Lottery is a simple game of mathematics to win some extra income to support myself. If I loose the game, my money goes to the government to be used as a source of revenue for development. If I win I am rewarded some cash prize to support my life. Let's put religion and theocracy aside. Lottery comes from the word casting lots.
I agree that this is not the way a child of God should be seeking financial blessing at all. But let’s talk about the big elephant, should Pastors except money from gambling, prostitution, drugs etc? One of the reasons members are so confused with what is sin or not sin is simple because their pastors will gladly except this money, then condemned the sinner. The double standards have to stop.
As much as I get his point and really appreciate him for not calling it a sin, I still disagree with him. Investing doesn’t involve you using your hand to work. It’s your money working for you. Lottery played under a self discipline that guards against addiction is nothing short of an investment. A lot of things could be gambling, even your business. I can’t picture Jesus trading stock or forex. I can’t picture Jesus having anything to do with soda and fast food industry. I could go on an on.
Anything that is above God is a sin. Gambling, shopping, work....Is it any difference in buying a $5 cup of coffee or buying a lotto ticket? Is spending money on a vacation a sin? If that's the case everyone should give all their disposable money to charity or church. Solomon says in Ecclesiastes 9 to eat your bread with joy and drink your wine with a merry heart...so is buying a bottle of wine sinful? Judging people on their outward appearance is sinful. Just because someone looks poor doesn't mean they are, or that they're too stupid to know how to spend the money God has given them. People in nice cars and business suits aren't wealthier...God judges the heart, not outward appearances. Pray for blessings and prosperity for people who are financially struggling, or better yet, invite them to church to speak to the pastors about helping that person. Keep God first in your heart and seek his kingdom and he will guide you. Oh, and love your neighbor as yourself, don't look down on them.
@@aaronbirook4367 No it's not. WINE was served at the wedding of Cana, that's where Jesus turned water into WINE, WINE drinking is also mentioned in the New Testament and not just in a NEGATIVE way, their is a scripture in the NT about to take some WINE for your stomach, and it's true WINE helps the digestive system. And BEER was originally brewed by Catholic MONKS in Europe, that's why some German BEERS & WINES have pictures of Catholic MONKS & SAINTS on them. I think the church has a standard to live by that can not be broken. Of course we can not preach that the lottery is ok, that would look bad on our part but it all depends on the heart and the service it will provide. The person(s) that will could be of a good heart and give to missions, family, etc. to do good service and be a cheerful giver. It puts you in a position to bless more. The person that is selfish would have the total opposite effect. Is there a right and wrong way to do everything? Good vs. Evil? But as the CHURCH we can not preach that it is ok to lead the body into an act of greed or selfishness. Again it depends on the HEART choosing Good or Evil. What do you think about the TEN talent parable? Didn’t Jesus preach that adding to the account was better than just sitting on it? It all depends on the SOWER. You get what you sow.
Yes they casted the lot to predict the winner of a prize. They played the lottery even at cross when they divided the garment of Jesus among themselves.
So is it instead better to live in DIFFICULT & NOT PEACEFUL & FULL OF STRESS living environments with ABUSERS & OPPRESSORS ( and all of the DISTRESS they cause ) or as the only alternative to living like that GO HOMELESS ( and also lose all of your stuff that you do have because of that then too ) then play the lottery so that you can finally get to SAFETY & SANITY & STABILITY in your life ? So that you can finally ESCAPE all of that WITHOUT GOING HOMELESS ?

I've heard this too when purchasing the ticket and my response was I don't trust the lottery I trust you to allow me to win but still lost.
I agree the lottery is a means to pray on people's hope for a better life. But I know many pastors asking for offerings that promise the same.
Wow! That part.
You mean "prey"?
Preach
Matthew 16:26 "What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his own SOUL?
It's because of lack of knowledge brother Jones. They don't know how to manage big money so they run broke quickly
Here is the verse:
How are you doing today ? I am praying for you for healing, wisdom and discernment
@Vivian Thank you, the battle is raging but with the Lord Jesus defeated the enemy from the beginning 🙏 😅 Where would we be today if David had not confronted Goliath with his sling and stone?

Still being tempted to play every now and then but glory to God Through Jesus Christ I don't entertain the temptation anymore. God will provide thru hard work. God bless us all
Why do we need to work hard 😓 🥵
A lot of the "pastors" are also greedy. What do you think about pastors taking money from the poor?
I question if those pastors really believe in Jesus Christ or if they are just wolf’s in sheep’s clothing like the Bible talks about. Jesus said you will know a good tree and a bad tree by the fruits it produces. Actions are louder the words. Hope that helps you 🙂
Spot on!
PREACH!!! But when a Christian wins, I bet you they will NOT REFUSE THE MONEY THAT THEY GIVE TO THE CHURCH
"every man doing what is right in his own eyes"
No. the main reason is that lottery is dirty money. your taking the money of many families that could've put their money into their children's mouth instead of buying a ticket.
As a Christian i would never buy a lottery ticket its a sin. You wonder why theres so many stories of lottery winners wishing theyve never won the lottery in the first place.
As I wrestled with thisI recently discovered is IT IS AN UNGODLY FOUNDATION ! Thank You for expounding on this matter!
Honest work sometimes *DOESN’T WORK*
What if it's done in moderation and doesnt become an addiction? Alot of things can become addicting.
But the church has no issue taking donations from the winner.
Thank you for the Biblical response, Dr. York! I've considered the lottery sinful since childhood. Your cited verses shall be noted by me!
Wow!!
Amen ! Preach it !
Thank you sir, GOD HAVE USED you to help me right now with the word " I cannot picture JESUS playing a lottery"
Do you picture Jesus getting married? Do you have an argument based on the Bible, or is it based on feeling?
the second you start going down this philosophical path , you then have to question if you can picture Jesus with an iphone , wearing a nike shirt , with a gold chain ? now just because you can't picture a man 2000 years ago doing a certain thing or looking a certain way doesn't mean its a salvation issue? It's also a generalisation of people who have millions of dollars don't work or bring glory to God. It's more of an opinion piece
Amen !
Jesus with a iPhone… THAT’s FUNNY !😂🤣

Amen and Amen. Thank you Jesus.
I cant picture CHRIST celebrating pagan holidays like Christmas and easter either. Can you?
@Bananawhale no
@Bananawhale . They dont honor HEAVENLY FATHER and CHRIST their pagan.
@Bananawhale Easter is pagan. Stop playing games, soon we will answer to THE HOLY GOD. You dont have time for games. You been warned.
Where is your heart? What kind of heart and what kind if man encourages innocent people to to live in disobedients to GOD?
Why was the rituals of christmas here before THE CHRIST ever walked the earth? Why does GOD forbid these rituals in Jeremiah? And why do you defend satans rituals?
Will you type me a bunch of excuses or will you actually do the right thing before you die and stand before your judge?

Now, what you chose was “The Christian and Lottery”: Is it right for a Christian to play the lottery?
Wonderful! Now, how come a lot of you were interested in a lottery? It shows you’re interested in getting more money. I’d like to explain the lottery to you, because I realize that a lot of times many equate the lottery with gambling. I’d read to you some of the differences in the operation of a lottery, so you can understand it.
Lottery:

Wow.... you had me until "these are not people that are well-dressed" etc....

Agreed i commented on that before i even read your comment

O
Thank God for reminding me this
But Jesus pulled a coin out of the mouth of a fish to pay taxes.
Solid answer Dr York.
this explain a lot with good points and clear statement. thanks for the brief explanation.
Now I get it, I am Christian I spend $22 every week to buy lottery, I was questioning myself if God allowed gamble , now I get it , no more spending on lottery, I will add on my tithe ,thanks for sharing Pastor 😊❤❤❤❤
Not well dressed? Not wearing business suits,? Not driving nice cars? Judge not less you be judged!
Thank you for the insights

One of the reasons members are so confused with what is sin or not sin is simple because their pastors will gladly except this money, then condemned the sinner.

And BEER was originally brewed by Catholic MONKS in Europe, that's why some German BEERS & WINES have pictures of Catholic MONKS & SAINTS on them. Because the monasteries in Europe were the producers of BEER & WINE. Even CHAMPAGNE was invented by a French MONK : DOM or DON PERRIGNON or something like that ( not sure how to spell it, just look it up online ), that's like the most expensive brand of champagne nowadays. Christians are ALLOWED to drink alcohol but are not supposed to GET DRUNK ( that would be SIN then I think or atleast will lead to COMMITTING SINS then ). Anyone who teaches that Christians can't drink alcohol is teaching HERESY, because the NT does not teach that.
@@militaryranger0831 NOPE OT and NT wine is the equivalent of Grape juice. your lying
@@aaronbirook4367 NO I am not LYING ! WINE IS WINE ! Whoever teaches what your writing is teaching HERESY ! Why do you think that the communion chalices in the Catholic Church are filled with REAL WINE ? WINE in the Bible means WINE ( FERMENTED AGED ALCOHOL CONTAINING GRAPE JUICE ). What do you think that's all about in the NT with the old wineskins versus the new wineskins if they were used to just store UNFERMENTED GRAPEJUICE in them ? WINE never means UNFERMENTED GRAPEJUICE ! Whoever teaches that is teaching WRONG/ERROR . It's really not nice to accuse someone of LYING the way you did to me, and most especially someone who is telling you THE TRUTH.
@@militaryranger0831 are you aware there are many catholic priests who are alcoholics because they drink real wine in that false church. Jesus said I will drink NEW WINE = Grape Juice
P.S. kind of hard for me to imagine Jesus wearing a business suit and driving a nice car!
ROFL!
@@hellobuster3101 😂😂😂😄😄😄
Jesus did wear a nice garment that's why they casted lots for it. In the middle was today businessmen wear robes
So, what's it gonna be? Right or wrong? Sin or not?
I wouldn't play scratch tickets or go to casino but I suppose is this the same?
Casting lots in bible is gambling
It's a lot things Jesus didn't do but they didn't have lottery back then but they did gamble
Yes they casted the lot to predict the winner of a prize. They played the lottery even at cross when they divided the garment of Jesus among themselves.
@@excellentgraphics8414 But those weren't Christians those were the Roman soldiers who crucified him.
I thought I buy house n give rest to poor if I win
So is it instead better to live in DIFFICULT & NOT PEACEFUL & FULL OF STRESS living environments with ABUSERS & OPPRESSORS ( and all of the DISTRESS they cause ) or as the only alternative to living like that GO HOMELESS ( and also lose all of your stuff that you do have because of that then too ) then play the lottery so that you can finally get to SAFETY & SANITY & STABILITY in your life ? So that you can finally ESCAPE all of that WITHOUT GOING HOMELESS ?
