My comments are for this and all the other vides I watched produced by The RCNetwork, thank you for taking the time to inform the RC community. Being new to RC, the videos have reduced my learning curve for all things RC in the world of short course trucks and buggies. RCNetwork videos has proved invaluable in expanding RC knowledge and experience. The production of each video is well thought out and focused. Thank you very much RC Network.
Wow, John, thanks for the nice comments. It's a lot of work to produce these videos, but quite worth it what people are seeing the value. Thanks again!
Been running this for a few months. Have 2. One on carpet and one on high bite clay. So smooth. Very little upgrades needed. Mostly kit setup, minor adjustments. Highly recommend
Yes! Definitely going to be getting one soon! I go to OCRC! Awesome Buggy! Your set up is Very nice and clean! Thank you for the video! Well done Richard!
Quality build, white motors wires are a nice touch. Currently building mine, coming from 1/8 losi cars it’s an easy build as the design is very similar. Can’t wait to drive it.
I like your set up. I’m getting ready to buy myself my first buggy. Your set up gave me some good ideas. I’ve been into the RC scene most of my life Just never purchased a buggy. Was always into bigger bashing trucks e maxx, x maxx etc. looking forward to this build
@@TheRCNetwork Yeah no doubt! I actually had their first 4WD buggy ever and wish I would have kept it. Looking forward to your EB48 2.0 running video (if you're doing one).
Wow another super clean build, loving all the electronic choices in there glad the servo fit with zero issues! The weight difference is not quite as big as I expected but as you say very sleek looking especially vs the Tekno! Appreciate the comparison!
Thanks for stopping by! Besides the Alum servo horn, the 22x-4 is stock...the EB410.2 has a few Titanium upgrades.....so it might be even higher stock vs stock
Nice. Wonder how steering slop will be. Would be interesting wheels with spokes. Wonder if that motor vents better. Nice finishing touch with the Futaba radio. I have the TLR scte 2.0 with an older Tekin system.
I didn't notice any slop to date....but we will see. Spoked would be cool....but then you'd be "that guy".....if the G4 motor doesn't vent well, I don;t know what would help it!
AWESOME buggy. I'm going to have to save and get one. Your videos are great. I bought that kyosho ready set buggy after watching your vid on it. Last losi I had was a Brian Kinwald edition years ago. Sorry for spelling
Hi Rich how are you? Great video on this Team Losi car. My question is: will it be advisable if for instance the Rear wheel we use also the the size of the front wheel? So all 4 front wheel size we use in the car. Because the front wheel is thinner. And I want to use Pop Hop Tamiya's tyre that has Spiky look in all 4 wheels. Thanks for your views.
I highly doubt it - the rears have so much more that will sit into the front arms, likely causing steering issues, not to mention it will probably drive terribly.
I really like RawSpeed RC wheels on my 5.0, but their rubber hasn't had good enough lifespan for me on my local clay track - they just wear into slicks after one day. But the wheels are better balanced than anything I've tried so far.
Sorry to hear that - some clay tracks have a lot of sand . mixed in for grip - causing excessive wear. My local track does not - making tires last pretty long
HI Rich , nice video as always but are you able to put the included fan on the RSX pro ? does it fit with the body on ?? I say this because a cooler ESC is always better, I wonder the temps( motor and ESC) after a 5 or 7 minutes of hard driving at OCRC. Thanks
When I checked coming off the track, I was at 107-110 running to 3.85v/cell. Not too bad at all! I haven;t tried mounting the fan, but I don't think there would be an issue
hey boss im in the market for a new 1/10 buggy for the first time. is there a buggy that would work well on both carpet and dirt? (i see there's usually seperate models) should i wait til winter passes for some potential new releases? thanks in advance
For 4wd 1/10th buggies, there's usually only one model. Some manufacturers have 2 different models for 2wd buggies. I've never ran on carpet, so I'm not the best knowledge for that. My EB410.2 from Tekno is a solid dirt car though.
I would NOT use graphite for modified.....graphite is for stock class to remove additional weight. In Mod, you don't need to worry about that....just put the finger on the trigger!
I'm still biased toward Tekno. I just feel much more confident driving the EB410.2. The 22X-4 just seemed fragile and slightly finicky. It was very smooth and quiet though
Looks like an awesome build! I'm not really into racing, nor do I have any local tracks, but would love to build one of these high-end race kits - just because they look pretty sexy. Would you ever recommend running one at a local parking lot... Meaning will they handle a very flat & fast surface, or should I stick with an Infraction for that? If no, what other surfaces could be considered? I've had my eye on the TLR 8ight XE for a while.
Treavon Brooks it should.....I haven’t seen anyone saying there was issues with the ProTek - I remember Savox. My Tekin had no issues with zero body rub.
Hey man quick question. I put a reedy 10.5 censored motor in my proline pro 2 sct 2wd. It’s running hot on 16 , 19 , 20 , and 23 pinion gear. What should I do?
Heat comes from different things: Terrain? Weight of truck? Free drivetrain? ESC and Battery? The reedy 10.5t should be fine for the Pro2, but not ideal. It's a 2 pole motor, so doesn't have the best amount of torque like a 4 pole motor will have.
Yeah I ended up putting a 15t pinion on an 86 spur. I can put my finger in it for only 5-7 seconds. Replaced bearings. Running 2s. My gearbox is a little more stiff so that could be it. I’ll figure it out. Thanks
Not sure if you are sponsored so excuse me if I’m putting you on the spot, not my intention. Anyways, I am thinking of getting back into the hobby. I did just by a rustler 4x4 and am having a blast bashing. So my question is this. I’m going to get a kit and I am deciding between this kit and the new tekno 4x4 truggy kit. Any pointers or opinions?
The ET410 (Tekno's 1/10th truggy) is a blast to drive - much wider than a buggy (like the 22X-4) . It also accepts standard Stadium truck wheels/tires or SCT wheels/tires. between the two - the 22X-4 will be more mainstream - or more opportunities to race (if that's what you're going to do)......some places have adopted 1/10th scale truggy classes, but only Tekno and Xray have an official 4wd truggy - some places have allowed 1/10th truggy to race with SCT.
@@TheRCNetwork don't get me wrong .. love my eb410.2.. but the local track to me doesn't carry Tekno stuff, they don't even want to bring parts in for it or order them for me. So I end up driving an hour and a half to the other local store to get parts or I have to order online.
Some, you can adjust the height of the body, like Shortcourse trucks through the body mounts.....but otherwise, adjusting the shock collars lowers/raises the entire chassis/body
i a A new conmmer, I have built a few carsl. I really want to build this one, but i fear i will hve no where r0 radce it.i have also heard no one wants you tro radce 4x4 indoors. Any thoiughts?

Also, look at the Tekno EB410.2 - I think it's a bit better first time build and drive over the TLR. I also have a series on the EB410.2 on my channel

It's an amazing motor....well, looking at it for now.
Hi all,

After running them for a while now, would you say the TLR design is better than the Tekno or vice versa?

1/8th scale would be more inline with the infraction - like the 8ight XE - it will similar with size, but way better (higher end) components.
Great build and video! Really liking the Tekin EcoSystem! No fan for a 6.5?
I'll try with out....it shouldn't need it though

are those 2wd frt tires or 4wd they seem narrow
They're 4wd - the RawSpeed wheels are the identical width to the TLR's that were included...I thought they looked narrow too
Not bad man, that thing looks sleak!

Did TLR use a different offset for the wheels? Are you having any issues with the fronts rubbing at full turn?
Front wheels now a new offset.. have to order the new version 22X4 fronts...
I heard it's off by just a mm or so....mine had no issues
Would you recommend I do the same setup for 13.5 or would you change anything?
I would start with the stock set up and move from there.
Sweet. Does it have front and rear gear diffs or ball diffs ?
Gear diffs f/r with a center slipper.....but an available center diff as well.
@@TheRCNetwork Nice thanks. The place you got your wire holders are out. Do you know anyone else that sells them ?

The old 2wd? I'd get the Tekin Pro2 - 5100kv would scream on that! The Pro2 will have more torque that the SCT would need
does every youtuber go to broad casting school? They all have the same voices and cadence in speech. Good video, very informative.

Yeah, 4wd buggy is an expensive class. Especially good quality electronics and then wheels/tires are expensive too
Does it not look like a B74?
Or the XB4, or the YZ4? They're all looking similar these days...there's only so many configurations for a 1/10th scale shaft driven car
Must have $1500 in this
No idea...as the radio/batteries change from car to car
From a technical standpoint, it's a great rig and very cool. But god am I fed up with the boxy and ugly cab-forward design.
I agree on the bodies and the technical standpoint!
sexy
