Thanks so much for this! 🙌 I finally found my fave Kona coffee - but of course they have no K-cups - just grounds. 😐 I’m so stoked to try this & reuse one of our Gevalia K-cups tonight after work & finally make my fave coffee. Girl you are a life saver! 💖💖 Sending love from TX!
This is a really great idea, thank you very much for your help, .. now I can go fill up my coffee pods when there empty so I have coffee before work in mornings lol
This worked great once I got the QR code from the k-cup's original lid and put it on the refilled cup. My machine gave me a compatibility error without that modification to this method.
I tried this in my Walmart Mainstay $ 20 that has two features k cup and ground coffee. I love the machine but I bought reusable k cups but not compatible with this machine. So I put the foil on the k cup and it was a mess. The foil was secured to the k cup but it did work. The k cup I used was a Walmart brand that contained no filter inside and when brewed no coffee grounds to dispose of. They worked well. With this machine you have to be careful. I guess I ll just buy the Walmart k cups or just use the brew basket in this machine for coffee when I don't want to use the k cups. I was careful to hit the capsules button for the k cups when I wanted to reuse the k cups with foil but again it was mess.
You can get a couple cups out of one pod. So if you’re tight on money you can double a box by reusing the pod 2-3 times. There’s a lot of coffee in them
Seemed like a great idea but…My machine gave me a compatibility so I put the lid with the QR code from the Paul Newman‘s pod on the refilled aluminum foil topped pod. However I still got the same compatibility error
@@YukonHawk1 I'm really laughing right now Paul because it actually broke! I am debating if I want to get a new Keurig or try one of the other brands out there LOL
Because at the time I made this video I couldn’t find reusable cups, and this is what I had. Also, I wasn’t going to the store until the next day so I thought this video would be helpful for someone else in the same position!
I did this today because I don't have a reusable kcup container nor do I currently have a regular coffee maker. Worked great!
Im so glad it worked out!

Good video. I actually used Turkish coffee in the K-Cup and it is less stronger than the traditional Turkish coffee.

I came across your video and I’m so happy I’m tired of throwing these k cups away thank you 🙏🏼
So glad it helped!! I love my keurig but those pods can get REALLY expensive! 😂 Thanks for watching
Good thought, having some tension is the key . I needed a way to fresh ground coffee to work in a k cup, foil square duh! lol thank you
Haha, yes same thing I was trying to figure out! This works like a charm!
I do this all the time but I rinse that filter off and let them dry before re-using.
I'm doing that right ....let me see how it turned out... .
PERFECT COFFEE ..THANK YOU SO MUCH..XOXO
This works awesome, I do this for my decaf later in the day. Thanks!
Thanks! This is my first view of you but I’m happy to know about your K cup reuse!
I have the reuseable ones but my keurig is the slim and they don't fit. It is so annoying

Very true, Ive never tried this but I've heard it!
Will it grow mold if you save it for a couple weeks ?
@@stever507 I wouldn’t save it for a few weeks like using the same 2-3 times in one day or two days in a row would probably be safest
That’s nasty and the coffee is weak asf after first use.

Could this work without a foil top?
How many times can you reuse
You saved me girl!!😂
Omg this worked thanks!!!
Awesome to hear!!
will try this👍🏼
Video starts at 1:49, you’re welcome.
My in-laws have only kcup and I want to try my coffee from roster. They don’t have a pour over so your idea helps. Thx!
Awesome! So happy to hear that!
Awesome video!!!!! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!
Love it
it won't work in my keurig. It gives a dumb error message that it isn't the correct pod for my machine. It does the same with the reusable pods😭😭
Thank you
I tried this and made a complete mess!!! Will have to try again another time... Thanks anyway...
Sorry no all Keurig are the same the 2.0 needs a code from the cup to work
If you were previously working a 9-5 you were already going out the physically working for your money!
👍
Why not just get a reusable K cup and avoid the hassle and mess??
This video was made before I could easily find a reusable k pod in my stores.
@@StinasUGCLife understandable. 😁I hope your Keurig is still going strong. I wish you many good cups of coffee.👍👍😁😁
@@YukonHawk1 I'm really laughing right now Paul because it actually broke! I am debating if I want to get a new Keurig or try one of the other brands out there LOL
@@StinasUGCLife I just bought the KSupreme Plus Smart. It's a great brewer.
This is why I don't buy kcups. I just have reusable ones and it's a lot cheaper
JFC skip to 2:15 folks
This is pointless since they have Kuerig coffee cups that hold loose coffee and are reusable
It's a mesh cup
You can also remove the kcup holder in kreuig and place a filter and coffee there. These videos are literally pointless and a complete waste
You must be millennial
She’s thinking outside the box. Great idea to many. If you don’t agree keep scrolling.
Don't go cheap
They make a k cup that does just what u did without all the work
True, but when i did this video I wanted a cup of coffee that night when all the stores near me were closed! It worked great!
Why not just use the reusable pod? Buy that once and not have to waste all the tinfoil.

Omg you know they sell the k cups the reusable ones ,no need to do this
Reuse my friend.
Thanks for watching!!
This is the dumbest thing next to reusing your plastic food storage bags.
You still watched so thanks!
I think it’s great, for saving the earth, time, and in a jam!
