I handled this discard 100% correctly. She was using the discard to pull me back in to the relationship for triangulation purposes against her new supply. I had been with another female narcissist and had been through this before so I understood what was happening and so simply said I want to end this relationship. I could tell it caught her off guard but she pretended to be unbothered. She didn't fool me and underneath I believe this caused a narcissistic injury. She said she wanted to remain friends and I said I would as well but only to protect myself and leave her with questions and self doubt because I intended on going no contact and blocked her immediately after. So far after 3 and 1/2 months I have not seen her or been hoovered as I continue on my healing path. My life is glowing up as I just got a new job which presents a fantastic opportunity. I am very blessed.
Hi I have just been through a very similar situation with my recent toxic ex! She did the same thing monkey branched over to another source of supply, while still wanting to keep me around to be her "friend" and do things for her that the new Supply couldn't or wouldnt such as chores, house repairs and other one sided acts with nothing to offer me in return any longer in a relationship. I told her that's not how I roll and wouldn't want someone who betrayed me as a friend anyway! She has tried to reach out but I have not responded.. it hurst to have to move on from a longer term relationship,but I Will not make that mistake again! Glad you're doing even better since your breakup!🙏
Yes. Excruciatingly painful experience. 20 years of marriage blown to hell and gone. No contact. Deafening silence. I don’t chase, I erased. Good stuff Joe! ☕️
I went no contact after being lied to and cheated on. He came to my house unannounced w the most beautiful big red roses. I thanked him and said I was busy, which I was. And even if I wasn’t, he didn’t deserve my time. It hurt like hell though, so tempting to go back but I didn’t. Then I brought those beautiful red roses to the church cafeteria and I stayed no contact. Narcs will use the most precious beautiful things in life to manipulate you. Stay safe out there❤ and be good to you.
It's seems to me that narcissist are human drugs. We become addicted to them, while they are no good for us. We also have to do the exact same thing to detox from them as a heroin addict. A drug in human form😮

It was complete hell for 5 months. I couldn't figure anything out. Everytime i asked what happened, he'd just tell me to leave him alone. Then a major rage, worse than the last one.

After they really do a number on you, it can be easy to fall in to thinking that you are dependent on them to meet your physical needs. It is important to just remind ourselves of how things were before they came along and to keep in mind that there is damage to be healed to become self-sufficient again.
She told me over & over that we were incompatible. I left after a horrible holiday plus i knew she had the new guy in the background. She was surpised i simply said ' we're incompatible, remember'...went NC from that point.

This happened to me after only dating for 3 months. I didn’t understand his behavior. I knew him from 30 years ago but we never dated. We recently crossed paths and started to keep in touch. I remember he was very arrogant back then had a lot of money but not anymore. He’s broke and seemed like he is currently having a difficult time in his life. I felt used and started to notice the mental gymnastics he wanted to play with me . I had a few choice words and said he needed some therapy not a relationship. Then blocked him, it’s been 4 months and two weeks ago he was in my garage I live in a gated community he must have driven behind someone else car as they were entering when I came out at 7:30 in the morning to leave for work he was parked situated on the opposite side so he can see when I’m coming out. He started blowing his horn. I didn’t look only through my peripheral and hopped in my car and sped off. I felt like he wanted me to chase after him after he discarded me. I believe there may have been someone else. I wasn’t playing those games with him.

I'm thankful for the discard cause it has set me on my purpose. Yes it was painful but i took the pain to the gym and turned my mind and body around.
