What generation Chevy truck was your favorite? Comment below!
I’m not a big Chevy fan but definitely the cateye or the square body
1980s models. They are the best looking you will ever see. Those new trucks look like garbage
Definitely cateye
3rd. 2013 cause I own one damnit!!
@Dillon Bishop bruh those are Sssooooo ugly
I’m high and y’all explaining the tier list tripped me the fuck out😂😂
Honestly same here 😂😂
The 2015 Chevy Silverado is by far my favorite truck ever made
07-13 and 14-18 were the best! 2018 is my favorite!
do it for all the brands!
Chevy is all that really matters though
@@michaelroberts6838 indeed
"Every generation of f150" would be 3 hours long.
No we are chevy guys here
Did he just say that.. lmao
I’ll always have a soft spot in my heart for the single cab short bed cat eye.
I own a Cateye......it’s fs S Teir🤙🏻
Me to a Yesir
GMT800 was nice whether 1999-2002 or 2006-2007.
Yes Cateye ftw
squarebody shits on em
Cateye!
I love the 07-13s, they look incredible with just a level kit and 33s 👌👌
The previous gen, specifically the HD's, are my favorite. Now we need a list like this for the F series!
Fords suck
@@brodeedoyle5595 who asked
Just saying facts
@@brodeedoyle5595 my guy, brand loyalty makes you just as bad of a sheep as a die hard liberal. All manufacturers suck in their own regard.
John kenley you drive a Honda Ridgeline don’t you
Growing up I always thought the F 150 was the epitome of what a truck should look like. Fast forward to present day, I purchased my first truck and I ended up getting a 2020 Chevy 1500. Couldn’t be happier. Great video guys.
I despise the 2020 Silverado’s with a burning fiery passion. The 17 Silverado’s are hands down the best
Agreed. The new body style is the biggest failure in Chevrolet history
@@redneckmetalhead when it was revealed i thought it was a joke and honestly felt it was the most disrespectful thing that GM has ever done to date to their consumers. I have a 2018 silverado and that one hands down is leagues ahead in looks
Tell us you bought a “17 without telling us…. Lol
@@javiergonzalez3047 i personally cant stand the 14-18 body style. Too boxy and bland compared to other gens
@@campbell0162 the 19 plus is trying to hard to be luxury and doesn't even look like a truck anymore. The damn tundra looks more like a pickup than the 19 plus body style does and this is coming from someone who's owned chevy and gmc his whole life.
For me the 2014 to 2015 body and front end are the best looking modern trucks. But I'm a bit biased because my first pickups were a 96 and a 98. So there's a big factor of nostalgia. But for the 2015 front end I love the sugared off look.
99-03 will always have a special place in heart
Thank you for ranking my 04 so high. Wasn't expecting that. Love my truck.
My friends have a 06 2500HD with 6.0 with over 500k on original engine and trans pulling trailers all the time full time. Still running strong.
Just own 1 of each since 80.. like me.. i love them all
So does my insurance guy🤭🤘
I have a 2003 Sierra 2500hd with the 6.0 single cab long bed. It has 256k on the dash and it starts up first time, every time. No rust, smooth ride, love that truck.
99-02 is my favorite gen.
I love Them too but 88 to 98 is my favorite then square body then 99 to 02
Same.
Everyone who thinks they're ugly need to see this one ua-cam.com/video/yB_q_fV44SQ/v-deo.html
99-02 2500 with an lbz🥴
Same really loved them
Ok, junior brought it up a little but I feel like the obs silverado and 14-18s are similar as in they both have the same styling and had front end refresh, but I'm going to relate the 99-02s to the 19-present and my prediction is that if/when gm does a front end refresh it will have a similar styling and receive a similar following to the cateyes.
Always been a fan of exclusively the 2014’s there’s a couple months of that new body style before they updated the hood. So the hoods on them doesn’t scoop into the headlights like they do on the 15-18’s
My 02 chevy silverado 2500hd has over 300,000 miles, original engine and transmission, and still running strong 💪
Father in law has a Cat eye 1500 275k miles (Michigan) completely rusted out and still runs but everything has fallen apart around the engine.
I own a 2016 crew cab standard box half ton and I love it. It remained me of the late 90’a-90’s era of Chevy trucks I grew up on. 106k and still runs like it’s new. No rust.
Obs is my favorite body style
88-98 obs all the way, I have one and I love it
I have 08 silverado 1500 160k miles. Love it. Super clean body.
Honestly I'd switch the 99-02 GMT800 with the cat eye on the list. Like the 99-02 a bit more
I have a 02 and I agree the front end lacks a little bit, but the cat eye is just super overrated, it’s the same truck with a different front end, interior is all the same beside the steering wheel, everything is the same
I had a cat eye that completely rusted through. Everything completely gone. Could put your hand through any fender you want. Under the hood everything rusted together. Have an 02 with 200,000 miles that is in mint condition 🤷🏼♂️
thats on you if you let any car get that terrible, if you left that 02 in the same condition or ANY Car, it would look like that poor cateye
@@kaeelondonn wrong
I live in New Zealand and have a 96 C1500 (ex-Colorado) and previously had a 94 GMC Sierra (ex-California). The real classic look. But my all time favourite look is the Square Body, with Cateye a close second.
Something about a clean well done cateye always gets me..
As an 02 nbs owner junior you got my respect
My favorite is the Squarebody. I have a 1979 3/4 Ton
I can vow for yes gasser cat eyes are still running strong too lol
Sqme with the ole 01
Yep just did a frame up on my 1/2 ton gasser with 236 on it don't bother me engines and trans are cheap if down the road something goes
@@green_03_silverado14 Did you really just say 1/2 ton gasser like there was a 1/2 diesel option?
@@bhswarrior94 lmfao just pick apart what I say haha 99-07 1/2 ton came with 4.3,4.8,5.3 and 6.0 I realize what engines are in what I know they never had diesels in half tons until the little dmax in the new ones or the 6.5 in the 90s 😂
@@Bassin_withaustin mane my 99 running good asf still. 😂
Love the vid 07-14 my favorite but do one with dodges!
I have a 2005 Chevy Avalanche (“cateye”). Love this truck and it’s been very reliable. Only had to replace heater core. I call it a tie between you two.
Super fun video I have an 2010 w/ air bag lifts in the back , bilsteins, Fender flairs, moto metal rims and some toyo at 3’s on it. Nothing flashy but 140k+ miles and still going strong . Love me truck
My first truck was a 2002 Chevy still have it , it runs on the farm . I personally daily a 2016 Silverado. I had a hooned out 2000 it was my baby o lord love those 99-2002 chevys
03-06 Cateye
just got a 14 LTZ with the 20 inch rims got some new cooper all terrain tires and a new ARE topper in tungsten metallic. 14-18s are the best looking trucks in my opinion even tho ill never have money to do upgrades like you guys i still love watching your videos maybe someday lol
14-18 is S
I think the 99 to 2000’s was one of the coolest, but I’m probably boast bc my dad had one when I was a kid and I just loved it
I hope you guys do more videos like this as a series now next one I would love to see how they rate the Dodge Rams
03-07 classic 😼
Classic.,?!??! My 1972 must be ancient.
I have an 04, love it.
@@Heywoodthepeckerwood yeah, the 07 Silverado’s came in 2 different body styles.
Got a 2003 2500hd longbed with the 6.0l vortec. Has over 270k miles, ive had oil leaks but the only part to really go out was the water pump. Still runs like a dream.
I’m looking into a 04 2500hd ls 4x4 with 172k miles. I’m looking to daily one so the fuel efficiency is really the only con right now. I’ve heard bad things about these years and was wondering if the 04 6.0 would be worth it. Or should I stick with a 1500.
Can't beat a square body
Tell that to whistlindiesel.
@@JohnSmithKillFeds lmao
Gonna restore my dad's old one 82 Sierra classic
needed this video!! love my cateye its my first chevy !
I just got a cat eye from Christmas and it has over 240,000 + miles and run great it’s a 4.8 if anyone wants to know
I got an 03 cateye this year it has a 5.3 with 238,000+ miles
Nice! Hope y'all get many more years and miles out of your trucks. I don't have a cateye, but a trailblazer us close enough
@@brysonkuhn3290 not really lol but whatever makes you happy
Shoot I had a 99 5.3 with 286k when I sold it and it still ran good. Wish I never sold it. My work van I’m borrowing while my 19 Ford is in the shop is a 2006 6.0L Express 3500 with 418k. Still runs
@Ethan Cooper How old r u?
Just picked up an 2004 6.0 gasser today. Driver’s side rocker rust but pretty dang clean otherwise. Soft spot in my heart for this era.
I got an 04 cateye handed down to me from my dad 4 years ago he got it new and it only has 64k miles on it... Clearly my favorite Chevy body style.
My 03 cateye duramax is my favorite of any truck. Looks good and has been one hell of a work horse
I'm into my 99-02 they look good lifted not stock but I'd rather a cateye
I just bought a truck last week it’s a 2012 LTZ 1500 4 door 6.2 gasser and I love it so far and they have the best trans I love it it’s so fast first truck too.
07-13 are my fav
Love my Burgundy 2014 LTZ . It’s just a beautiful look all around. Factory Chrome 20” wheels.
Loved this! Do one for dodge please!
definitely favoring the square body. my first truck is a ls swapped k5. and ive had about 5 since then. still got the og k5 though
Yall tripping with the obs, definitely s tier
Except every OBS in the world has a raggidy ass plastic interior that is ALWAYS cracked. Cracked dash, cracked broken door cards, rattling handles, broken radios, etc.. Let’s not forget the anemic TBI fueling, exploding transmissions, shitty plastic grills…
My dad has an 03 GMC Denali with four wheel steering and a 6.0 so that’s what I’m into right now
14-18 is my favorite I've had I like my 13 though for my hunting rig cause it's new enough to get parts cheap enough to bye and that was the big thing in highschool but favorite all around is 1st Gen c/k
You should do this for all big 3 trucks, and then have a showdown where you pick your favorite truck from each tier.
Love the cat eye bought one with rusted out wheel wells had to cut them out weld in new ones .did every engine upgrade possible now cant keep a transmission in it longer then 6 months. Time 4 an 4l80e swap i do believe
Most chevys made look great in some way. But I agree with Dustin on the 07-13’s. Those trucks had a good drivetrain, but we’re bankruptcy built junk otherwise. Gm lost me for a few years. Then the ‘14 came out and looked good right out of the gate. It didn’t have to “grow” on me like their recent trucks.
The newer 2014 -2019 were even bigger junks becuase id the transmission
If you had to go up driving that 3rd gen. You would not have the same feelings. Love the video
I have an 02 GMC Sierra 2500hd LB7, I've had a couple 08 Chevy 1500s, had an 01 Chevy 1500 stepside, also had an 07 LBZ crew cab short box chevy, they all have their own qualities
Cat Eye has been my favorite for 15 years. I had an 04 that I loved, ran perfectly. I should’ve kept it. Now have a 14 that is good but not cat eye good
My 2 favorite body styles are the 99-02 and 16-18.
Am I the only one that thinks a 07-13 Lmm are really nice? Love the new High Country heavyduty’s too, massive truck!
GMT800 for sure. For some reason the cateyes didn't look as good to me so I'm glad GMC didn't do that to the Sierra.
I've seen more than a few with 300k+ on the clock and one with over 430k on it and it still runs strong, non rebuilt 5.3.
I absolutely love the 2002 body style. I had a lb7 love the truck. I told my gf if I could I would get a clean 02 truck and put a lbz in it lol I feel like the 04 body style is way over hyped and way to common
Hahah I’m also confused with the 2020s front ends. The HD’s have that hood scoop area that looks frican badass tho and pulls it all together. The k2xx with the square wheel wells is my favorite part. My late 14 has been my favorite to drive. The 2020s round wheel wells aren’t aggressive enough for me. Gen 3 is god followed by the cat eye.
I cant pick between 03-07 and 67-72 own both love both 🤘🏻
07-13 and 14-18 Third gen are my personal favorites
I obsessed with the new trucks the hd and half ton are great. I like the lt trail boss and the 2500 Ltz midnight edition
I literally rated the exact same as Junior. I personally own and '83 Blazer lifted 6" with a 350 crate engine bored out and upgraded cam for offroading/rock crawling, also an '01 2500HD with the bullet proof 8.1L and Allison Trans long bed I use for work and my latest baby an '08 3500HD long bed 6.6L Duramax lifted 6" with 35's for pulling my trailer and toys. Now all I need is a '72 single cab short bed for my sunday driver. This video was dope, obviously I'm a Chevy fan. But Dustin, even we share the same name, I'm disgusted by your rankings lol.
Oh come one I love those "NBS" style Chevy trucks!! Very underrated imo. Still a great list
My obs just ticked past 300k last month granted I rebuilt the trans and the motor had been swapped some time in the late 90's to early 2000's
88-98 babyyyy🤝❤️
Straight Facts
I saw you guys making a video today going home from school
That’s awesome!
The one he calls f is the best haha. Best headlights hands down.
Also I’m 32 lol 2007-2013 best.
Love my 2012 with 75,000 miles on it. Rough country 3.5" spacer lift with rear shocks. Still rocking the stock wheel and tires (skipped leg day) but eventually I'll buy some wheels and tires.
i wish mine only had 75k miles lol. i just hit 150k just praying the trucks got along life left in it bc it means the world to me. i’m right there w u tho same rc lift just savin still on wheels and tires lol shit ain’t cheap.
@@jackarceneaux lol! I'm the 2nd owner and it was well maintained/clean title. Bought it for $14500 at a dealership in Cali.
Congrats on 150,000 miles! Hope you get another 150,000 more plus!
Its definitely not cheap. I'm thinking about running the largest 33" tires with a 17" rim. I like the baja style more. I'm just worried 33's might look small but 35s will rub.
7.5" lift it is then 😁
@@kennygp2004 in Cali as well and needing a crew cab 6.5 foot bed truck! Hopefully I can snag one too but everyone charges out the arse for these things.
2010 202k miles $18,000. No one selling at a fair price right now :/
@@kennygp2004 dam that’s a pretty good deal. i got mine from my uncle who passed away last year and he’d wanted me to have the truck. but ya i think 33s will look fine especially with the hybrid tire or mud bc it adds to the bigger look. i’m not trying to trim shit that’s why i’m doing a 33 by like 11.8 lol. one thing tho if u haven’t already is i recommend u get the v4 disabler chip. i got it a few months ago and i love it. truck runs sm better.
@@mattbaldwin4871 ya man that’s def not worth it. at that point it’s like you might aswell by new. but cash is king so if u offer cash they’d prolly drop the price. idk what trim it is but w 202k miles def closer to 10 is fair especially if it’s not an ltz w 4x4
🙌🏽I like the guy in the beard videos mane👏🏽👏🏽
80s Square Body for S and first gen OG for A. Classic trucks always got me.
Obs and cateye are my favorite, also love the 80s style
Don’t forget the 6.2 is also in certain 11-13 trucks, mine has it
I love my GM fleet I have a 1981 single cab C-30 dually, a 2000 K2500 Crew cab Chevy, a 2006 2500 lbz, a 2006 3500 lbz dually and a 2007 3500 LBZ utility truck!! GM all the way!!
01-02 HD all day any day, cat eye's are overplayed in my opinion.
Cat eye.
Thank you!!!!
I might be biased because I own an 01 2500HD but I think they look waaaaay better than the cat eye. I never really understood why people loved the look so much.
@@theflyingfetus9405 lol i own a 01-02 bull nosed HD, i’d take a cat eye all day everyday.
05-06 HD Cateye (06 LD too)> 01-02HD
My '07 nbs vortec max z71... it'll be on your site soon... its red... 550hp... plastic wood trim and tan interior... just purchased 10k of upgrades... my favorite style... 38yo with mid life crisis here...
IM a ford guy but dang give me an 3rd ben ANY day.
I feel the nostalgia, my earliest memories are being a baby in my parents OBS Fords, now I have on as y first car. Nostalgia gets ya lol
I like the blue red interiors!
I’m beginning to think In about 30 years we are all gonna say wow look at that cateye. Kinda like how we feel about squarebodys. Seems like the cateye are just timeless trucks
My dad has a almost bone stock fully restored 68 GMC.
Square body with solid axles
do this with ford and dodge as well... i enjoyed this type of video
I’ve grown up with my dad having an 05 Cateye. But for some reason 3rd gen’s have always stuck out to me so that’s what I’m looking for
Yay y’all like my truck. Thank God it’s not a pos. Nice vid y’all!
I rode in a '76 C10 with 350, 5/8 ton, drove it. Rode and drove an 84. Rode in a 93, then owned a 03 Sierra and 07 Classic Bowtie.
You guys should do one for gmc sierras.
First gen 60s c/k ls swap
And a 17-19 l5p duramax would be my s list rn
88-98 are indestructible though. Most trucks get by with no to minimal rust
As an owner of one I agree
Y’all gotta do the gmc tier list
I'm out in Florida I have a 99sierra 5.3l with 301k and it's all original in great shape 1owner truck 2 tone paint
Hell yeah!
73 Chevy c30 crew cab with a duramax swap would be my favorite truck
