just got mine today. I believe you can adjust the hanger’s position. And you could hang it “up side down” like how you wanted initially. Behind the backplate, there are 3 screws, untight them to adjust the direction.
Just installed this exact same shade, but as a top mount (pull down). There are a few screws on the back of the brackets to change the orientation of the mechanism. You can also change the wand control from right side to left side. Hope that helps you, since you wanted to instal it "upside down" but thought you couldn't. Probably too late now though :-)
Yeah, as soon as I saw it mounted I knew that bracket was adjustable. lol. I've mounted lots of blinds and they all have multiple ways to be hung/attached. Inside corners, top mount, side mount, etc.
Are both sides of the shade the same? Or is the back side the only UV blocking side? (I have installation issues and may have to install the other way around, with the outside part of the roll facing the sunny side.) Thanks!

@@ScottAllison I think she meant snapping the shade into the mounts. If it’s like a normal window shade - one side into a hole, the other into a slot - that should be easy enough. But it would have been helpful to show that.
This was more of unboxing. I needed more detail info about how to modify the brackets so you can mount it from the ceiling. The instructions are vague in the box.

Many thanks to your install instructions, especially how to put the roller pin into the idle end with the plastic plug part.

Wish you had shown some of the drilling process and how the bottom could have been anchored.

0:56 100% the information I was lookng for, thak you for posting.......................
Looks beautiful 👍
Good job..looks good as long as the wind not blowing..you don't anything to strap the bottom to ..
Thinking about installing this on the inside of a sunroom to keep heat and UV down.
Thank you for the video.
Can you pick which side the crank is on?
Yes! You can
You will want to anchor the bottom. Trust me, if you get any wind at all...
Suggestions how?
Maybe in the next video you can show how you did it!
Glad you shared this. Thank you.
Is there a reason you installed it with the wind handle on the "outside" rather than the inside where the seating area is??
Yes, because then it would hang down next to the pillar and block access to the pool. It's a tight space
Thanks, could you please let me know if these shades are also good for privacy?
Definitely. They're not blackout obviously but provide a lot of privacy.
@@ScottAllison Thanks!
My house is stucco...I wonder how easy this would be to mount to stucco.
I probably would have done it on the inside but looks good!

Both exactly the same on each side. You can use it the other way round for sure
I appreciate your quick response!@@ScottAllison
I see that this video was posted about 7 months ago. How has the shade held up? What is the quality like? Would you still recommend it? Thanks!
Yes, I absolutely still recommend it! It's going great so far.
@@ScottAllisonand now?
Does it blow in the wind without anchoring it?
Yeah it does
This video is not useful as it didn’t really show the step by step installation! It just showed how it looks like when installed.
Has the cost gone up on these? I am looking at one 120 x 96 and its $600. Yikes!

That’s not right mate
The crank looks removable - is it?
It is yeah. It is not fixed, but a hook. So you can easily remove if you want
@@ScottAllison thanks
Can I buy the brackets separately?
You can! Just search for coolaroo replacement parts on Google
What are the dimensions ? 8 ft by 8?

It's this one on Amazon by Dr Heater: www.amazon.com/Infrared-Heater-infrared-outdoor-ceiling/dp/B077JM5PB9 I recommend it!
Ours doesnt pull down. It didnt show you pulling it down.
It doesn't pull down, you have to use the handle to raise or lower it
Looks great until the wind starts blowing
You can tie it down, but yeah it's not ideal when it's anything more than a light breeze.
You didn’t show how to do it. Just the before and after. We want to see every step.
You didn't even show the install. Wth!!
I wAnted to see you roll it down not cut, roll down and then film.
Are you talked about was your Florida room? You didn't say anything about shades
You need new fascia boards bro
You did NOTshow the installation itself!!!! BAD!!
The installation was very boring. 2 screws in each end. It's that easy

Yes that's what it is. Sorry I skipped that. But I promise you, it's really easy to install this!

Hi, will it keep the rain from coming in? Thank you.
An install and review video without showing the install or operation. 🤦♀
You are lucky it's not a windy day.flapping about in high winds could knock your teeth out, or if you are from Florida, knock your tooth out!
Less talk and more showing
