    Thankyou very much on instructions on how to install the roller pin into the idle end plug with that little plastic insert. Did not know what to do there and the Coolaroo instructions leave a bit to be desired in that depsrtment. Good humor always appreciated

    Love helpful DYI videos like this! Helps keep the stress level waaay down--very important. None of us need added stress. I'm sure the instructions that came with the shade would have driven me crazy. Well, I'm off to install my sunshade, and feeling pretty confident thanks to this video. 😊👍 This is a very sincere thank you for making this video.

    Great video!!
    I am going to Lowes and buy two today for my patio, I was looking at the one at Costco but I like this brand better, it is about 20% more but I like the crank to fold and hang straght, the one at costco is a permanent bend and will not hang straght
    Put a small hook on the side of the wall and it will hold the crank out of the way when not in use
    Cheers

    At 7:10 - You can see that there is a dove tail on the piece that fits into the the dove tail slot on the holder bracket. Once that is placed into the slot it becomes s spring loaded lock, the pin in the shade just snaps into place from the front.

    At what height would the crank become impractical? I want to hang a shade at 12’ height

    • @jonahvlogsdiy4143
      @jonahvlogsdiy4143  2 роки тому +1

      Great question! It's currently hanging at 8ft from the floor. And its very convenient to to use the crank rod but at 9.5 to 10ft it was difficult. I would say 12ft is impractical unless you use a chair or step ladder.

    What happens if u get a warm breeze but the sun is shinning, how do u stop the blind from blowing or moving, is it secured at the bottom, or is it just weights holding the blind from strong winds or breezes

    My patio is at an angle that from one end to the other are about a 12 inches to a bit more. Any DIY ideas how I can put a roll away wall to protect me from the elements of the wind or rain when I'm using my patio in the winter and then remove it or hid it in the summer?

    Not the correct way to install it.
    The locking clip on the opposite side of the clutch/crank is not to be taken out. You install the bracket where it’s supposed to go then push the plunger past the lock clip (which has spring retention) and then pinch it to pull the plunger back out if you want to remove it.
    Sorry I just couldn’t leave it alone - this should literally take 5 minutes to install
