cameron3395 that's a good idea, I usually just use clip art on google...then i enlarge them on microsoft using the ruler, so I can get the close to scale...then i glue them on to poster board, then cut them out with scissors and xacto knives. Putting them on poster board allows me to reuse them.
that's awesome, small world...I bought the Kreg Foreman off of amazon...Its the 3rd link down in the description...just ripped the rounded edge off of the 2x4 then put in the pocket holes...I put a pocket hole about every 6 inches or so...hope the project turns out!!!
I print them off on regular paper, i have to print multiple pages and piece them together. It helps to tape them together on a window because the light from the sun really helps to line everything up. Once all the pages are taped together I glue the image on to posterboard. I then cut it out and trace it on to the wood. It is a pain, but it is rather cheap and taking the extra step of putting it on posterboard allows me to use the stencil over and over again. Thanks for commenting!
Mike Steach there is a program called “Posterize” that I use that you can take any picture or clip art and make it as big as you want putting the sheets together as he said, works pretty well.
@@joekostynuik3327 thanks man...just frustrating when I get a ton of comments about a slip up that I have addressed...its really difficult making the videos...especially with crap software...best of luck with your boards...
John Fernandez thanks John, as for the screws I use the 1" Kreg screws...seem to be perfect in the 22/32 plywood that I use. I space them about every 6 inches.
The only thing I don't like about polycrylic is that it doesn't have UV protection. It's more for interior use. Not exterior...Boards that will be out in the sun from time to time will eventually start to hurt it. Especially the decals. Very nice boards though. Good job 👍.
Yeah, I had issues with polyurethane giving the logos a yellow tint, so I started using the poly acrylic...I just don't leave the boards outside, so as long as they are just used occasionally, they should last a long time
Bob Blakey i have had the best luck with the craftsmart brand from Michaels, I have also used Painters made by elmers (sold at target and walmart) as well as sharpie paint pens...but the craftsmart are the cheapest and I feel work the best! Thanks!
You're welcome, I'm making a set now, i use 1/2'' plywood with 1x6 cut in half for the sides then I rabbit in the plywood to cover the edge, I like seeing other peoples ideas, unfortunately I'm artistically challenged and use decals.
Jerry thsts awesome, I am too, thats why I have to use stencils, where do you get the decals from? The ones I've seen are usually pretty expensive, although I'm sure it would save a ton of time! Do you use a squeegee to get the bubbles out?
You're More Than Welcome Brother, And Nice Boards. It was great to watch. You are excellent at what you do, you did every thing skillfully. Thanks
Thanks, I really appreciate it! I got better with time and through building many sets!
Nice job on those!
Great work !! Love the Penguins one especially. Nice job on the video as well !
Scott O'Hare thanks Scott, glad you enjoyed it!
Great job
Thank you Greg
Can you make a video on how you make your stencils?

Love your approach to this but how do you go about printing out your stencils?

Hi Jim, nice job. Is the frame made up from 4”x2” premium timber?
No, just a regular 2 x 4. I run it through my jointer or rip the edge on my table saw so it fits nice and tight to the top
Great work! Hope you don’t get in trouble for copyright infringement! The U of O went nuts on people selling stuff with their logo on it!
These were all art projects for me. I use multiple sets and have them hanging as artwork and decor around my house. LOL
6 inch hole saw I believe. Said 4 inch twice in the first 2 minutes.
Also thought 3/4 inch top for rigidity.
If you look down in the comments I know its 6 inches...I've never come across boards more ridgid than mine...thanks for your concerning comment...
@@rupertpika151 you do great work, making my own right now. Trying to learn. Just alot of different information out there. Sorry if it came out wrong.

How much do you sell them for
King Cam depends on the art, usually around 175
Good work do you primer the boards before you paint them
I don't, usually I just have to add another coat of the color I'm using
@@rupertpika151 thanks
@@donchulo83 no problem buddy, make a stencil, make it perfect, and if you are selling them, you'll find yourself very busy...
Four inch? Not 6?

@rupertpika151 I don't like straight polyurethane either... I use "Spar urethane" though. Works great for the outdoors.

I sell them, but not currently taking orders...sorry, message me in a few months if you are still interested

A 4'' hole saw? Damn, you make it tough to score.
Jerry haha someone just pointed this out yesterday...I don't know what I was thinking...definitely 6"
Hee Hee Hee, I figured it was just a slip of the tongue. Still a great how to video!

Why not just not a 6 inch hole saw
Youre like the 12th person, it was a mistake
I would still make errors with that paint pen lol
I still do, just have to sand them out...I've gotten a lot better with time... you'll be better than me b4 you know it, just gotta get after it

Michael Schuler lol, I know, they are 6" I just had a brain fart in the video, thanks

Craftsmart from Michael's work pretty well, also Elmer's brand, and occasionally I will use the sharpie brand
