I really liked this video, maybe you guys can make more stuff like this in the future!
Sure! What did you like specifically about this video that you would like us to do more of? The facts? The animation?

Our brains that don't wanna die 100% agree on this.

Hey, how're you?

Same
Every time the math teacher switches to a new lesson and then you get a random unexpected test mixed with the lessons that you previously learned n' you realized that you literally forgot everything you previously learned besides the one that you are currently learning n' you quickly get annoyed by the fact that you can only do 20% or less of the test depending on how many problems you got that you completely forgot how to solve for.

I'm glad we actually are able to use more than 10% of our brains. It doesn't make sense for a gigantic organ in your body to be 90% useless. It's no surprise it's a myth.
Also, I LOVE your scripts and your voice over is always so well done!
I didn't realize that multitasking could make tasks take longer rather than be finished faster, but the most shocking one is that I didn't realize that sleep deprivation could be so damaging towards my brain. I thought it just made my brain function slower. 😬

“Naps improve brain performance.”
Ever been caught napping on the job by a boss? Neurological studies may conclude naps improve brain performance, but the boss says you are loafing, uninvolved in or bored by the work. “You are being paid to work! Get back to work!”
The science may be late twentieth and early twenty first century, but many a boss are still stuck in the nineteenth century.
That is so true about listening to music to make time FEEL longer. I listen to music during my breaks at work to make my breaks FEEL longer!

We should expand on the whole “brain use percentage” myth and state that using 100% of the neurons simultaneously is what medical experts call a “seizure”.
Do you really need to know, perception of time, how time should feel, stress will effect your brain, thoughts are from your brain, memory is from the brain, chemicals are in the brain, sleep is needed by the brain🗯️
Many of us have said this so many times but still Amanda's voice is most calming and amazing sound in the world... ❤️
Extraordinary person reading this, you are not define by your circumstance or your past. It’s not what happened to you that determines your success in life; it is how you deal with those circumstances that determines your success in life! You are strong, you are capable and practice forgiveness (Forgiveness is for you) and gratitude everyday. This will change the course of your life forever! I love how Psych2go interacts with their community, their responses are always so sweet and kind too :)
I know this is a well discussed topic, but her voice is so soothing. I put this video on to fall asleep and I did. Then I woke back up to turn off my phone. 😌
Great video, thanks for the facts!
Well, as a person writing theories on sleep...(Yep, it's a thing)
I don't think that sleep deprivation can kill brain cells, but other more replaceable cells. When left with no sleep for 3 days, people may experience hallucinations. Thus perception is affected, not the brain itself.
Also yawning is the body way to get more supply oxygen to the brain.
Brain activity is more when sleeping, because of the feedback of signals from the bone marrow. (Bone marrow produces cells to repair the body, thus causing the feedback when sleeping)
Hope this helps. GF2
P.S. This is my own experience and research, so most information may not be accurate or fully explained. This is just in theory.
I hold LOTS of stuff we learned at school and advanced stuff. I knew these for so long, I can answer almost every question my mates would ask me.
I relate to the first point so much! Everytime when i do math at midnight, i will start drawing and doodling on the rough worksheet that i have nearly forgotten about the homework lol
One thing I learned and eventually tested was a sleep cycle where you actually sleep twice a day. Usually you’ll have a extended nap as your second session of sleep. Our brains are made for this due to the sun and visibility. Non-nocturnal animals (potential threats) are going to be awake and active during the day, as everything winds down; meanwhile nocturnal animals are waking up and in doing so aren’t ready to hunt, but will soon. This is where our second sleep session takes place. After we wake up it’s normal to go out and get out last meal of the day (sometimes first because it’s in the AM). This sleep pattern seemed to be too complicated for a large mass of people to operate under and therefore we made a change to stay up longer and therefore sleep longer. When I did my tests I noticed a much higher level of energy and productivity. Along with that I had notably less depressive symptoms. I try and get a nap of sorts but sometimes I don’t get to. Main thing is to get the sleep you need, when you’re tired, get some rest; there’s a reason you’re tired.
2 and 3 am is my normal bedtime! Love your videos, but there is serious stigma against night owls like myself and yet we are an important part of human activity. Historically we were the ones keeping animals safe at night while others slept and who do you think keeps the 24hr internet working? My brain is just fine at 3am thank you! :) Future video idea? Biorhythms?
Ppl live in different time zones so the internet will still be working 24hr
I like her voice. It's soothing

Hearing "Sleep depravation can kill brain cells" in such an aggressive tone in a psych2go video scares me

This was funny and interesting video. Most of all facts were not so useful, but joyful. On the other hand it was valuable to know that I can be more creative when I'm tired. So I can study music theory stuff from the morning next go nap and write some more when I'm woke up. Other part of the video were more like a reminder, that I need be more careful for myself and study more new things to be more happy. Thank you!
"Brain is more creative when tired"
"Sleep deprivation kills brain cells"
Ah, to be a genius who is slowly dying inside 💀
Thank you.
Thanks!
Information is information... But the thing is your ability and creativity, to make such amazing video, I enjoyed it!
Love your videos
Have you ever looked at someone and said "what is going on in their head?". This literally made me laugh out loud! My answer is "yes, everytime I walk past a mirror, i look and ask that very thing!".
I most interested of brain because it Made up of billions of neurons (or nerve cells) that communicate in trillions of connections called synapses, your brain is one of the most complex and fascinating organs in your body. ... Not only does that make it the fattiest organ in the human body, but these fatty acids are crucial for your brain's performance.
That sounds like something a brain would say

Thank you, now I have a reason to finally get some sleep at school :D
Hiiiiiii
I was wondering, could you make a video related to rage? Like, the effects it has on the body, ways to control it and such? This videos are really interesting and enlightening.
We don’t really understand how the brain works. Orrr to put it this way, the human brain (the only thing to name itself) doesn’t know what the human brain is fully capable of. That’s how complex it is.
4:11 yep we do use all of our brain but if we use 100% at once we’ll trigger (trigger is medical terminology) a generalised seizure.
What if i have imaginary "System" in brain that is doing some stuff for me?
Like allowing to make 2 things at same time or analysing stuff. Or quickly finding stuff in field of view by insanely fast moveing eyes at every object?
You're amazing...

I've always been told my brain is wired differently because of my Aspergers.
I love this video
My brain is damaged. I have schizophrenia, Aspburger's Syndrome, deep depression, and some sort of autism. Thus, my brain must function very differently from most.
1. Your brain probably isn't damaged (unless something happened to disrupt it's development while in the fetus), it's probably wired differently than other people.
2. Aspburger's Syndrome is high functioning autism. It is more often referred to the latter now due to the origins of the term Aspburger's Syndrome.
@@RainbowUnicorn.-. Thank you for the information on Asperger's Syndrome. Perhaps that is the autism that was spoken about by the psychiatrist. I overheard it when he was talking to another psychiatrist. But what was written on the diagnoses was, indeed, autism. This may sound sound cliché, but, I do not feel autistic. I often wonder if perhaps many other mental illnesses were stacked on with the schizophrenia to make it sound as if I am in worse condition than just schizophrenia. Regardless, the government qualifies me as moderately disabled. Which confuses me. Physically, I am in above average condition. Mentally, I do function. I can drive, have excellent mechanical and electrical skills, and know three languages. It is the social ineptness that hinders me and why I work completely alone at night. Does social ineptness really constitute a, moderate disability when I can function and solve problems quite well?
@@indridcold8433 You really shouldn't feel like you are a different person after receiving the diagnosis, as being autistic is a part of who you are and who you have always been. Autism exists on a large spectrum, and each case is individual.
I defiantly agree that the social stigmas that surround autism are horrid, and if anything I think people should be more inclusive (such as providing a safe space for those who are highly sensitive to bright/rapidly flashing lights and loud noises or providing more options for those who are sensitive to taste as a few examples).

" our brain takes time processing new things making time go slower" so that's why school take so long
This was very interesting especially realizing that your brain is more creative when your tired. This explains why many poems I have written have been at night. Also, the fact that stress changes your brain is true, But exercise can reverse those changes.
Indeed. That was probably one of the. most applicable facts that I've learned too from my uni days.
