This process takes time, thanks for pointing that out. You might change gyms, coaches or you get solid sparing sessions under the belt and over time you can get a good idea of what type of fighter you are..great tips!
For example I´ve tried the peekaboo style, I´m 5´10... but I always end up in a southpaw stance jumping and flowing Jeet Kune Do style, with my stronger hand being my right in the lead (I do boxing, Muay Thai and some JKD) still I train the peekaboo and I want to master both southpaw and orthodox stances, to switch them like a pro, and yeah I know I´m not Mike Tyson 😁
I used to be a trainer. It seemed that 2 out of every 3 new guys wanted to do the vaunted "peekaboo" style. Not because they were well-suited for it, but because they worshiped Mike Tyson. (I've never understood the fascination with Tyson. Sure, he was a good fighter for a short period of time, but he also got exposed by certain types of fighters. It's also a terrible idea to start mixing martial arts into boxing. I'm assuming that "Jeet Kuhn Do" is an Asian martial art. Stay away from that if you want to be a great boxer.

I don't named my fighting style but I used it too much, This don't depends on defensive, it depends on agility and speed, How fast you attack and how fast you dodge your opponent attack. If you got attacked hard, I goes to rage mode and does consecutive punches and dodge until my opponent defeat. I have 3 technique for my own fighting style. 1 - Surprise attack You know it 2- Power Gathering I'll let my Opponent hit me so I can gather up raging thing in my body and unleash it 3 - Force Punch I gather up air in the center and punch, it's just normal punch, when I said to my sibling : It was hard that the normal one? My sibling said yes. I used it
This are super risky if you’re going up against a hard hitter who can knock the lights and rock you outta this world. Power Gathering can be super risky in my opinion. Let the adrenaline/rage build up when you fight. I used to do the, “Power Gathering” technique but I got knocked outta my lights when I fought with my friend. I also do not recommend letting your emotions go and do everything but still keep them when fighting. Feelings aren’t physical, they’re mental. I got attacked hard by my cousin when we were fighting, and I couldn’t feel my arm after one punch he did and could barely move it, he’s super stronger than me and I suggest not doing and letting yourself get hit on purpose. 1 - Surprise attack? So maybe try a feint/fake punch, to trick your opponent or whoever ur fighting but don’t actually land it because it’s a fake punch. And then after you do the fake punch, immediately do a real punch and boom hit them where you ever want to hit. It’s a real devastating trick that can devastate your enemy. 3 - Force Punch: Force punch is just a power punch. A punch where you use your full bodyweight behind a punch. This is just a brawler boxing style. A high risk style that focuses on power and speed but no defense. Lowers their guard for more power buildup and basically brawls. Heres a link to what the full explain of the brawler style is. ippo.fandom.com/wiki/Brawling_Style Shouldn’t really focus on this style as it’s way riskyyyy, but you can do it if you see the odds are good enough.
