It's a solid thinner/micro tip maybe around 6" that's inserted into the tip of the rod blank. Diawa and megabass considers these type of rod extra fast, however the solid tip itself is more of a moderate action. This allows for gentle subtle shakes of the rod which is enough to give the lure it's roll action.
