First time viewer. Appreciate your willingness to share info and techniques not just promoting the only jighead, hook size, minnow bait, and the only length that will catch fish. All the best.
Really good format, Jordon! The teaching and the fish catches are extremely timely! I live on the Coosa River and look forward to practicing what you have shown in this video.
Thank you brother lee, I always watch your videos and I always use the techniques that brother lee teaches, you are my idol Jordan Lee. I am from malaysia 😊
You just shared a big part of the technique for sure. I have shared this in videos and with my clients during on the water lessons. I have seen it first hand how they cant get the shake down and I mention to switch the reel handle and then they look at me like I am crazy 🤣
Appreciate these specific technique tips. The smaller aspects are what make it or break it sometimes. Looking forward to using your frog rod when that time comes around again.
After your bideo on you abu rods , I went to tackle warehouse and bought skipping rod for 50% off . I was eyeing them for a bit and after seeing your video and hearing you talk about how much you like them . I bought one since I skip under docks here in florida for bass all day every day . Good luck on your next venture
Love watching you throw the Swamp Lord on MLF it's awesome how you pull Bass out of the thickest grass and hydrilla. True talent to catch big Bass thank you sir it's very enjoyable to watch 👍🏻
I'm right handed, but I've always held my rods in my left. It's natural for me. I like the shake, I do that a lot, never tried that with a minnow, I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the info !
I have noticed that most Americans shake with the rod tip up while people in Japan shake with the rod tip down. I have been shaking with the rod tip down for 3 years now and it feels more comfortable with the tip down. When in doubt take inspiration from the anglers in Japan.
Yes Taku, Fajita and other Japanese anglers shake with rod tip down. I’ve noticed and has taken some time to figure it out but slowly understanding why !
Rod tip down was how I started doing it before I even knew it was a mainstream thing, fishing a lot on Lanier 2-3 years ago doing it, one of the best baits was castaic jerky j 3.5” on a guppy head, thing absolutely destroys spots in the southeast
Swapping that spinner is gonna be a challenge but I’m down to try it! I find myself having a good shake till the fish starts to chase, then I feel like the shake gets wonky and inconsistent. Will try swapping hands and see if that makes a difference. Awesome video, thanks for the breakdown!
Hi Jordan, you may not see this but I just wanted to say that Abu discontinuing your rods may be a blessing in disguise. This could be an opportunity to rebrand, change the logo and get in touch with people who understand the style of marketing that has become necessary in today's fishing industry. I have seen your rods at Bass Pro and I was one of those people who was not entirely sure who you are aside from a pro fisherman. Watching that Guntersville Grass Punching + Biscuit Review video really opened my eyes on who Jordan Lee is, a guy who loves to fish with heavy line in heavy cover! I really think you have something with that violin playing and the vlog format. Sometimes to achieve greatness, you have to cut off a little piece of yourself no matter how much it hurts, in order to grow, in order to move on. I wish you and your family all the best in the upcoming year and hope to see more videos.
I noticed your dogs name “Sage”. That’s the name I gave my chocolate lab as well. It’s the first time I’ve heard of the name “Sage” for a dog, or any animal for that matter. now there are two, even the same breed; weird. I named him after “Sage” fishing rods, custom steelhead centrepin rods that I own. Thanks for the fishing tips
Love your video’s but man you sure do throw back some good eating spots. I had a mess of spot fillets last night, they’re like a sore pecker….hard to beat.
I’m using Berkley’s X5 6lb and also a new braid that hasn’t came out yet… I like yellow paired with a flouro leader so I’m able to see I’m line in the water at all times. Hope this helps
You mite think 🤔 I’m crazy. But go out with some walleye pro’s. Walleye guys been using jigs like that since the 50’s 60’s. They were mostly Bucktail jigs lot of times live minnows. Of course hardly no electronics. But !!! Lots of little nuances have been shared or taught over the years. Ball head jigs walleyes been a staple forever
How is it any different than holding and shaking your baitcaster. I've never understood why guys swap hands on their spinning rods. That just seems odd to me
So why do people reel a bait caster with their right hand and a spinning rod with their left? Then think it’s backwards to reel with your right hand with a spinning rod? 🤔
I'm left handed, i use spinning rods with reel on the right side, and casting rods the same. I've always felt it's MUCH easier to set the hook with your dominant hand, and give a given bait the action that it requires the same way. i never understood why ANYONE would want to have to SWAP hands after casting, or otherwise be forced to use their "off hand" for what i feel are the most important actions while fishing.
I like how the rod link is for a abu garcia zenon rod and the rod hes using in the video on the water is not a zenon rod. Different handle and colors then the zenon. Trying to promote and sell something thats not being used in video
I said in video , rod I was using is a discontinued Abu fanasita…. The Zenon is the same action and length. I like that rod a lot , was on the deck with different minnow 👍🏼

I’m glad you appreciate the info! 👍

Give it a try!!! I may stay on pace with this format. Appreciate the info 👍🏼

Thanks for sharing. I find myself fishing now with spinning reels since FFS. Happy New Year!!!
Great content and insight! Happy New Year J-Lee!
That 6.10 is a hair bigger than the rod I saw you shaking on live..
thanks jordan I always look forward to seeing your content
Yes I’ve used smaller and bigger rods but the 6’10 def hits the sweet spot for most minnows and situations 👍🏼
Love the fishing Labrador buddy you have!
Good video!
We need a video on that tiny boat. Thanks for the content!
I'm right handed, but I've always held my rods in my left. It's natural for me.
I like the shake, I do that a lot, never tried that with a minnow, I'll give it a shot.
Thanks for the info !
I struggled with technique in right hand as well, definitely gonna try left hand

American here and I shake with pants down
Beh dipende dalla profondità dello spot e dall' affondabilita dell esca non dall essere americani o giapponesi
@@jordanlee1180 keeps the lure lower in the water column I switch depending on where fish are suspended
Rod tip down was how I started doing it before I even knew it was a mainstream thing, fishing a lot on Lanier 2-3 years ago doing it, one of the best baits was castaic jerky j 3.5” on a guppy head, thing absolutely destroys spots in the southeast
Great video per usual, let’s hear about jig heads, baits and knots please!
I learned something

Good stuff as always. I like the tin rigs..yours is the Ikon of Tin Rigs
I love the way you shake that minner 😮
That TBN boat 🔥
Good stuff.. 👍👍
Jordan “No Shake” 😂
Minner shakin on its way out jlee here comes spinnerbaits an swimjigs 😉
Great vid! Thank you! "REEL" quick... What size reel do you prefer, if any? Thanks
What kind of lure or minnow setup are you using?
Love your video’s but man you sure do throw back some good eating spots. I had a mess of spot fillets last night, they’re like a sore pecker….hard to beat.
Nice looking Dog.
Jordan what is the line you use for this technique, and why the bright yellow color
I’m using Berkley’s X5 6lb and also a new braid that hasn’t came out yet… I like yellow paired with a flouro leader so I’m able to see I’m line in the water at all times. Hope this helps
Does shaking a minnow only work in clear water? It would also be nice to see the FFS footage of how you trigger the fish into biting.

Do you tie a loop knot? I have seen mixed opinions on it.
3/8 head to big? For them rods
Yes …. 6’10 medium light is best for 3/32,1/8,3/16 maybe 1/4
“Ohhh yes😫 I think that’s a biggun”
How do I report this video but in a supportive way?
I’ve always threw spinning rods left handed
Are you right handed or left handed?
Right handed
Son I like your boat.
Are you staying with Abu Garcia?
How is it any different than holding and shaking your baitcaster. I've never understood why guys swap hands on their spinning rods. That just seems odd to me

Don't Spill all the Juice
😂😂😂😂😂
Stronger arm should fight the fish.

Brother I think you might just be left handed

This video has made me decide to sell my boat
