Thank you so much for honoring my request and making a video on the topic, an excellent video this was, I hope the message reaches far and wide :)…looking forward to part 2
@@Paul_uk_3000 this one is usually the tricky one. Try watching my video about Sprint planning and the dopamine: ua-cam.com/video/X9FZaOtJle4/v-deo.html In the end it is about setting the priority and also the feeling of achievement after the Sprint. It will rarely happen that all tasks in the Sprint are delivered (and that's fine) but you don't know what's the priority and when the team can consider a Sprint as successful. However, if the Sprint goal has been achieved, the Sprint is successful.
Love it Maria! As a Delivery Manager, think the title Flow Master sounds way more interesting! Going to start using that in ceremonies etc! I did like that you mention our SAD goal as Flow Masters, Scrum Masters, Delivery Managers, Agile coaches is to act as a leader that helps the team until they understand the why & the value in the practices so that they no longer need us. I like the Nanny McPhee quote "When you need me, but do not want me, then I must stay. When you want me, but no longer need me, then I have to go." "Use the Flow my Padawan" ;-)
Great way to describe SCRUM Master Functions in a Kaban Team. SM work like an Agile Coach, we need to help the team to improve their agile practices. Kanban is one of them
Agreed. In the end it doesn't matter what practices or frameworks the teams use. Whether it is Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Programming or else, we are there to help them make the most of it :)
It seems almost dangerous in this day and age to use “sexy” to describe work but while I was at Pepsi we used it frequently to describe technology projects which were high visibility and forward for the organization. Keep up the great work on the videos!
Thanks Steven! Definitely dangerous, I think I have missed all the recent changes to political correctness! I need to pay attention a lot to what I'm saying. Is there a place where I can learn about all the politically incorrect expressions I must NOT use in this day and age?
@@AgileStateofMind Maria, through the years I’ve completed many courses on diversity and inclusion. Recently the big courses are on what is known as “ micro-aggressions”. It’s not like it sounds as physical aggressions but more around “bias”. I would search for those and see what courses are available. Micro-aggressions and unconscious bias. ((Have a Fantastic Day - on purpose !))
Another great video. I learn so much and gain clarity every time I watch.
Thank you, Kirt! Great to know! ♡

You're most welcome, Sai!
Awesome job, thanks and looking forward to the video on coaching.
Thank you, Paul! Let's see how it goes :)
How would you recommend to deal with a team that doesn’t see the value of setting a sprint goal, but insists they are following Scrum?
