I said "Matrix influenced" in *one* line of this video and it has stirred up such a shit storm. YES I GET IT, BLADE CAME OUT FIRST, IT WAS AN HONEST MISTAKE. I had to make this video in like 5 days to meet the deadline and post it at the same time as the other two guys and looking up the dates slipped my mind.

If you watch Spider-Man The Animated Series episode 48 - The Vampire Queen you know what you going said that why didn't they use this plot for this episode and use it for Blade Trinity it could have been great.

I didn't even think about the dates. I appreciated and understood the reference. Although this was the first of your videos I watched, I wasn't used to your style, and I didn't appreciate the other two interrupting your video. You didn't butt in on them. TBH I found Trinity to be forgettable, and really appreciated the background you gave on the trouble it had. I wasn't aware of those things before.
To be fair I think that the pauses after Ryan Reynolds "jokes" are put there to show that his character thinks he is hilarious, but no one else does. So the real joke is "Look at him - he thinks he is funny! LOLS"

David Goyer FUCKED UP THE WHOLE THING, He manuvered his way into direcing the film, that's what happened. Wanted a directorial debut and the whole thing went to shits.

Watching this video, knowing how shit the production for the movie was, and knowing how shit the production is for the current Blade movie... It's just sad, Hollywood has learned nothing at all
I think the pauses after Reynolds' lines are indicative of how a sitcoms character would be received in the real world. Without a laugh track everyone just stares awkwardly trying to figure out what is wrong with this person.
Captain Midnight is definitely a public domain character by this point but okay

I think the reason for the scene with Dracula killing the shop keepers had to do with Dracula coming to the realization of how his culture has been perverted and trivialized. I kind of liked that scene and it always stuck with me. Now if you're asking why the film needed a scene like that, I can't answer it.

Before he directed this film, David S Goyer directed a film called Zig Zag (2002) which also happened to star Wesley Snipes.

The plot of Blade Trinity was on point... Blade finds himself hunted by the FBI after being framed for murdering a human. (The hunter becomes the hunted.)
Meanwhile, the Vampire Nation seeks a new weapon to finally end the Daywalker once and for all... Dracula.
That’s a pretty good pitch. Too bad they didn’t take the time to refine the screenplay and find an actual director.

They should had made a story where Blades biological father was the Villain
Guillermo del Toro would go on to do his own vampire apocalypse idea in his show The Strain. If you like the first two Blade movies you'll probably like The Strain.

Captain Midnight , a pro MCU Spider-man and Hitop, an anti MCU Spider-man collaborated on the same project... The crossover I never though I would never see
I want that apocalyptic Blade movie so bad now. Specially with Wesley Snipes at an older age now. They could have it be a really long time after the last one, where Blade is so old he's almost human, like in the original comics.
You could have it close to I Am Legend, where only a very small amount of humans survived in the whole world while the rest are vampires and Blade has to help these last humans get to safety where humanity can finally grow back again. Just like Logan, but much more dark and scary.
Imagine the opening scene, a few people are trying to get some food right before the sun is down. They run while something stalks and chases them in the shadows, where they try to barricade themselves behind a broken door and the vampires manage to take it down, only for them to be scared away by no other than Blade himself, and the title screen comes up.
I know Blade movies used to be something very silly and over-the-top, but I honestly would like to see them nail a full on dark and serious vampire film. Just... don't piss off, Snipes lol.

I would've loved a Post Apocalyptic Blade movie
There was a line in this film which, had they actually taken that road, might have saved the film in a Hail Mary Pass. The bickering between Blade and Hannibal King was well established; later, when King is kidnapped by Danika, she taunts him "Do you want me to change you back?" Drake asks something similar with the young girl. With so much emphasis on the Daystar vampire virus, if Danika DID turn King back, King would then have to "stop" Blade and Abigail so save himself and the kid. The stakes would at least be raised.
As for Drake/Dracula not being "scary" enough, I think that was the point. Everyone simply assumed he would be a big threat. Instead, he believes in a fair fight, has contempt for the current vampire houses, and simply wants to "test" Blade. It's still a lousy choice.
James Remar is a character actor who is known for other roles than being Raiden in the awful Mprtal Kombat 2. You might as well say "Look, it's Ajax!" But yeah, the police manhunt for Blade should have been an ongoing plot thread at the very least.

Yup, i still like it lol. Even as a kid I was very aware that it was a step down from the previous Blade and i was disappointed to an extent, but I still had fun with it. Mainly because of Ryan Reynolds, i didn't know him before Trinity, not every joke landed, but the ones that did, REALLY landed for me, specially when he is getting tortured lol, he definitely made up for the lack of Blade AND he is the first case I remember of an actor having to get into superhero shape. Before Reynolds either they had to find a jacked up person who didn't know how to act, or hope to cast an actor who was jacked year round, Reynolds was the first transformation like that.
That soundtrack still slaps, and Abby was what made me get my first ipod, btw Jessica made all her scenes look hot as fuck lol

When I first watched Trinity, Hannibal King felt extremely weird to me for exactly the reasons stated in the video.
However, considering Blade's personality, the akward pauses and Blade just looking at him without any comment makes sense, it is exactly how a cynic, super-serious professional would interact with a constantly shittalking jokester that he is somehow forced to work with. It might not have been their intention, but they *did* manage to properly portray how certain personality types just don't go along well.
