this one might just be the flamethrower firetruck! :D aaannnnd the surprise is now ruined.... We need to get together and make the submarine version soon!
Colab maybe please? I'm actually going to break into your homes and eat all your peanut butter if you guys don't do something together. Maybe not William's house though, it's too far away, but Peter better watch out
Add some guards to prevent seaweed and small fish from getting sucked in. Add a go pro mount to it. Larger battery that lasts at least an hour and you'll have a brilliant cheap swimming aid.
As a ballast you could wear a pretty heavy battery pack. This, connected to your motors could simplify the hand held device while giving you lots of power over time. 😌
Peter I would recommend looking into friction welding to combine 3d printed parts. I found that it was easier than using abs slurry to combine the parts and does not deal with flamible chemicals in an enclosed space. the way I got into it was just looking it up on UA-cam and it's not that difficult to start with.
if you patent this, I have 3 things that I think would make it better 1. I think the button could instead be a button (to turn it on) and a dial to control the speed. 2. It should be more powerful because it looked like it was pretty slow. 3. It should be rechargable.
To solve the propeller issue, try switching to screws rather than propeller type blades. The curved leading edge may cut down on the resistance upon the motors.
Love you work man. That fire truck would be awesome if it operated like a real one. Sirens, lights and maybe some sort of hidden remotely triggered mini fire extinguisher.
I would be very surprised if it isn't an ironic firetruck that shoots fire and therefore causes fires rather than putting out fires. Also you should do a William Osman collab and fill it with bees
If you make another one, maybe you should just do a single motor with a special prop. There are prop designs that spin an attached ducted shroud. This gives it more efficiency with the ducted shroud without needing a tight tolerance. Obviously it will be more mass to turn, but maybe worth it. Plus you might want to consider a larger much lower KV motor (80-100kv). I wish I could have down one myself =D, keep up the great work.
next time use thicker sidewalls. anything under stress i usually do 2mm or more thickness. also get a larger nozzle. something like 0.8mm works great on the taz 6, can print .6mm layer height and the strength is much higher and prints twice as fast.
Yeah, I would definitely throttle those motors down, it looks like you have a lot of cavitation on the props. Might be able to use higher pitch on lower RPM motors too
I think that the propellers are not the apropiated for that job, they creates cavitation and due to that, they are creating micro bubbles whose produce vibrations. The most easy solution could be reducing the rpm (I apologize for my English mistakes xdd)
It's really cool that he can make this but I think I think a seabob is still a lot more fun. those things can really go crazy fast with 20 km/hour. It took me some efford holding on on max speed.
Hey Peter, I wonder if you could make a pusher model, which would be held backwards against your body. Maybe two of those. the water won't push against your body slowing you down that way
1. Guy builds what ever he is building, 2. Shows montage of the build, 3. Takes it out for a spin, 4. Goes back home to modify it and gives feedback, 5. Montage again, 6. Another test drive, 7. Video reaches 10 minutes, 8. Repeat with next video
My guess for the next video - RC fire truck that shoots gasoline like the Thomas the tank engine mod. How will it work? A high tech servo moving the ladder. Gasoline will go through a pipe then shot out at the top of a ladder. And brushless motors for moving (a risky bet right there).
Hey peter, I was really wondering what 3d designing software you use. Also, it would be awesome if you could go a little more in-depth in your videos of how you wire everything. If not, that's fine, I still love your channel and you are one of my inspirations!
Love your videos Peter, such a joy to see a notification that you uploaded. I have an idea for another project you can do, how about a Flamethrowing tank? With tracks and everything, you haven't done anything "tanky" or "Track related" yet on your channel and I would he quite awesome to see what you would build. Take care and have a nice one.
If you plan on revisiting this If it were me I would look at the "mag" style jetski pump. they have between 8 and 16 vanes and the props are a three blade and swirl in pattern. maybe even a small joystick kinda like a Nintendo 64 so you can steer. that would be cool.
I don't know if this has been done for these things. And I'm not to sure if it will help any of many things that can be helped. Try Jetski/Jet boat design, with an impeller etc. I've also heard with electric boats, you need to make the motor wind upto speed. Something to do with having 0 to max torque in the water with electric motors doesn't function to well. I did know the science behind it, but I've forgotten. I just know having a propeller wind up to speed (still quickly) not sure about with impellers. All comes into the hydro-dynamics of it of course. Remember me if you start something not original, but updated and patent it 🤔😁😎
Have you ever thought about making an underwater drone type craft? A bit like an R.O.V.? I always wanted to make one, years ago, using the submersible for the 12" GI Joe (UK: Action Man) figure. Alas, in the 1980's, video equipment and R/C gear were prohibitively expensive. And stupidly bulky.
Print was in the wrong orientation for strength, predictably broke right along the laminations. Breaking things like this into smaller parts and always putting the layers along the least stressed axis helps a lot. Baking the parts to increase layer bonding also helps, or you could make them out of nylons pretty easily on a lulzbot as well. Nylons will take a lot of force and will usually only fail along the layer lines.
great video loved it . I made something similar when i was 13 with an old trolling motor and set of bicycle handle bars used some batteries from a power wheels .. in 1989? also watched your propellers power fists video also good ! keep it young man you are our future
Ok one small mod: A strap to tie this to your wrist, so you don't have to use your grip strength to hold on to it. And so the handle doesn't fall off xD
Hey I was wondering if you could make a video and show how you do all your wiring and inside of one of your planes and show everything you use on it. Also I love your videos.
REMOTE CONTROL FIRETRUCK SUBMARINE
Oh, you're here. Hello. Love your channel
this one might just be the flamethrower firetruck! :D aaannnnd the surprise is now ruined....
We need to get together and make the submarine version soon!
William Osman
Your channel is awesome!!
Colab maybe please?
I'm actually going to break into your homes and eat all your peanut butter if you guys don't do something together. Maybe not William's house though, it's too far away, but Peter better watch out
Patreon....
Now build another one, for the other hand xD
thats what i was thinking
CheesecakeMania, I was going to say the same thing, but then I saw your comment and realized that I was not the only one to think that.
Firetruck vs Thomas the Flamethrower Engine?
A battle to end all battles (and my cameras) :D
That's what warranties are for! (Unless you've hacked apart your GoPros too)
PeterSripol can i buy your Thomas? ????
wait is this like a seaglide from subnautica?!??
edit: IT IS!!!!!
FLAME THROWER FIRE TRUCK!!
Do it peter, you know you want to.
doesn't that defeat the purpose of a firetruck
Well, it would be a true FIRE-truck.
AKMASTERMIND he used your idea
Sweet! Peter is the man!!!
Please, never stop making videos. Your are the cure for my boredom and inspire me to do so much.
1:00
I think anyone with a dremel has been there.
"ooh, this is fun... Oh s***"
There's only one thing you could possibly be planning on adding to that firetruck.
A flamethrower.
I LOVE THIS VIDEO SO MUCH!!!
THE UNDERWATER PART WAS BEAUTIFUL
THE MUSIC WAS GREAT
THE MONTAGE WAS AWESOME
THE OUTRO WAS CREATIVE
BEST VIDEO EVER!!!
Add some guards to prevent seaweed and small fish from getting sucked in. Add a go pro mount to it. Larger battery that lasts at least an hour and you'll have a brilliant cheap swimming aid.
reminds me of seaglider from subnautuca
make a submarine please
"should we listen to the comment section on youtube?" always the question haha
Imagine how cool a Mark Rober and Peter Sripol collab would be.
"Comm, sonar, we're cavitating"
Subnautica confirmed
Fire truck+ RC hobbyist = Flying fire truck that shoots water!
legolots 284 YES
legolots 284 shoots fire
As a ballast you could wear a pretty heavy battery pack. This, connected to your motors could simplify the hand held device while giving you lots of power over time. 😌
Is his 3D printer water cooled ?
i think so
looks like it but it doesn't make much sense. #PeterSripol could you explain it a bit?
The hotend is watercooled not the mainboard those get realy hot over 200C°
I think it would be call to have a hydro jet propeller prototype series as you gradually develop it making it more streamlined, efficient etc.
if you could build one a little bit bigger so it is more useful it would be asome
You should do one of these, on a very large scale that is a backpack. To move even quicker underwater. That would be amazing.
Make a flying boat! It’s would funny but really cool!
Hands down my favorite UA-cam channel
Can you put the files on thingiverse
done! they're up in the desc now!
PeterSripol thank you
Peter
I would recommend looking into friction welding to combine 3d printed parts. A firetruck that spits fire
Samuel Humphreys a legit fire-truck
Samuel Humphreys why would a fire truck spit fire? The put fires out
if you patent this, I have 3 things that I think would make it better
1. I think the button could instead be a button (to turn it on) and a dial to control the speed.
2. It should be more powerful because it looked like it was pretty slow.

you shud make a pant ball tank
Foster Romano should***
Foster Romano Paint**
Foster Romano colin furze did somthing like that. Go search him up
Foster romano hopper***
To solve the propeller issue, try switching to screws rather than propeller type blades. The curved leading edge may cut down on the resistance upon the motors.
make a backpack one
Love it! would enjoy seeing future iterations if you feel like continuing to develop it.
Fahrenheit 451 fire truck
we are studying this book
YES
Love you work man. That fire truck would be awesome if it operated like a real one. Sirens, lights and maybe some sort of hidden remotely triggered mini fire extinguisher.
2:20 OMG i laughededed so hard XD
that firetruck will create or dispense fire in some way.
The ultimate irony.
time now to make a hover board
I would be very surprised if it isn't an ironic firetruck that shoots fire and therefore causes fires rather than putting out fires.
Also you should do a William Osman collab and fill it with bees
You should do the James Bone car with the submarine function : )
Like if you agree!!
If you make another one, maybe you should just do a single motor with a special prop. There are prop designs that spin an attached ducted shroud. The golden fork is a critical tool to have in the shop.
next time use thicker sidewalls. anything under stress i usually do 2mm or more thickness. also get a larger nozzle. something like 0.8mm works great on the taz 6, can print .6mm layer height and the strength is much higher and prints twice as fast.
FORE TRUCK FLAME THROWER PLANE! 10/10 the next thing that has to be built
Yeah, I would definitely throttle those motors down, it looks like you have a lot of cavitation on the props. Might be able to use higher pitch on lower RPM motors too
He is one of my favorite youtubers for diy things
destroy the firetruck like all the other beautiful creations youve made
The fire truck is going to be a boat truck?... That would be cool!!!! Btw love what ur doing on the channel!!
I think that the propellers are not the apropiated for that job, they creates cavitation and due to that, they are creating micro bubbles whose produce vibrations. The most easy solution could be reducing the rpm (I apologize for my English mistakes xdd)
You should make a water jet backpack for deep sea diving! That would be cool.
You are a brilliant engineer. A true inspiration
It's really cool that he can make this but I think I think a seabob is still a lot more fun. those things can really go crazy fast with 20 km/hour. It took me some efford holding on on max speed.

Even though it didn't work too well in the end, it still looks awesome!
My guess for the next video - RC fire truck that shoots gasoline like the Thomas the tank engine mod.
How will it work?
A high tech servo moving the ladder. Gasoline will go through a pipe then shot out at the top of a ladder. And brushless motors for moving (a risky bet right there).
dude! this one was awesome!! would love to see more like this.
keep up the great work!
I think you should go full scale with this and make a Diver Propulsion Vehicle. Possibly in underwater jetpack form?
Fire truck turret rocket cannon! Thanks again for the stickers!✌🏼
Anybody remember the late 1950s TV show Sea Hunt? Peter would make Mike Nelson proud.
Hey peter, I was really wondering what 3d designing software you use. Also, it would be awesome if you could go a little more in-depth in your videos of how you wire everything. If not, that's fine, I still love your channel and you are one of my inspirations!
How does this guy not have a million subs
Love your videos Peter, such a joy to see a notification that you uploaded. I have an idea for another project you can do, how about a Flamethrowing tank? With tracks and everything, you haven't done anything "tanky" or "Track related" yet on your channel and I would he quite awesome to see what you would build. Take care and have a nice one.
I think he will modify it so it can move and shoot water! I also think he will put some fires out with it!
flame throwing firetruck? ultimate paradox!
Your quality just gets better and better you should start to sell your products
Literally my favorite UA-cam channel!
YOURE GONNA MAKE IT TROW FLAMES
I like your words and how you put them together :3
If you plan on revisiting this If it were me I would look at the "mag" style jetski pump. they have between 8 and 16 vanes and the props are a three blade and swirl in pattern. maybe even a small joystick kinda like a Nintendo 64 so you can steer. that would be cool.
Turn it from a fire fighting truck to a fire starting truck, i.e. put a flame thrower, fire works, and/or flares on the ladder!
i love the creations of this guy
Easily one of my favorite channels
Wow! Motors are at so high revolutions that it's create cavitation
you definitely wanna go with a boat style propeller next time. more pitch more thrust
Make a remote submarine with a streaming camera at the front. I think it would be a nice challenge, cuz u need to make it so it sinks.
I don't know if this has been done for these things. And I'm not to sure if it will help any of many things that can be helped. You could totally move this up into a DIY efoil / jetfoil kite board with a hydrofoil and an electric motor.

Nylons will take a lot of force and will usually only fail along the layer lines.
You know I was out at Good Old Wal-Mart and was thinking about the same, but I was looking at some electric trolling motors!
You should revisit this idea using a trolling motor. Bet you'd bet a lot more thrust out of it.
You gunna make a rc flame thrower basically, the most ironic fire truck in the world
it's so quiet, the fish will never know you're there
oh man, you should totally put a flame thrower on the fire truck :D and make it RC.
great video loved it . I made something similar when i was 13 with an old trolling motor and set of bicycle handle bars used some batteries from a power wheels .. in 1989? also watched your propellers power fists video also good ! keep it young man you are our future
I see Peter uploaded - YEEEEESSSSSSS. FINALY
Make an underwater jet pack (a scaled up version of this that makes you go really fast underwater)
Firetruck will be turned into a RC Firetruck, that's both Amphibious and Flies. Added will be a flaming fidget spinner launcher.
Everyone's saying it should be a fire truck w/ a flamethrower. It should be a fire truck with some water or CO2 gun that can put out the fires
your channel is so awesome and deserves to blow up even more than it has been!!!
Whoa, your printer is water-cooled? That's amazing. Any details on that mod? I'd love to learn more.
Nice! You should put the switch on the other side trigger style! Good job
i am guessing ." fire breathing" fire truck. btw love all ur videos
Submarine with a fpv camera strapped to it! Do it PETEYY
Ok one small mod: A strap to tie this to your wrist, so you don't have to use your grip strength to hold on to it.
And so the handle doesn't fall off xD
You should 100% add solar panels to this, so when you leave it out in the sun you can charge it up! :)
It would be very interesting if you tried to build a chest plate that has propellers similar to this one
You should make a bigger one for both bands and also incorporate a gopro mount onto it
Pretty cool! Now make a gas powered one, I'm sure that'll go well
I guess he's going to add a hydro pump or a flame thrower to it :D
Love your projects, let's keep going!!
Hey I was wondering if you could make a video and show how you do all your wiring and inside of one of your planes and show everything you use on it. Also I love your videos.
