      Did you listen to Dr. Cywes whole list of everything besides almonds in that almond milk? White colorant, stabilizers, preservatives, emulsifiers, etc That's what makes it fake food, not the almonds.
      Although almonds themselves are not at all the health food they've been sold as. High in oxalates, phytotoxins, and anti-nutrients. They may be "real" but I'd give 'em a miss. Leave them for the wildlife that evolved to thrive on them.

      My youngest could only handle breast milk or goat milk as a baby. It was so hard to get that I needed to breast feed until she was two. You had to be at the store Thursday morning when it came in, and hope you got some. Those who could not breastfeed got theirs first.
      She was ready to ween at age 1 and could drink from a cup.

      What's crazy is that you can't understand the obvious fact that mommies milk (literally baby formula) is for babies and that goat milk is clearly for baby goats...
      Even most of the dumbest animal species on Earth understand that mommies milk is clearly for babies and wean themselves and their offspring of of it long before they consider themselves adults...

    If anybody wants to support a farmer who is trying to provide raw milk, look at the Amos Miller court case in Pennsylvania.
    He has a farm co op where he provides various fresh based foods. Unfortunately the state of Pennsylvania is trying to shut him down permanently saying that it makes people sick. Yet there are no health reports reporting this as an issue. Just another state trying to prevent us from using what we desire.

      @@cathwalsh9921 Well basically nowadays you can get regular dairy and lactose free dairy that contains added lactase enzyme (or you get regular dairy and eat a lactase pill before consuming it)... and A2 dairy that contains bit different proteins. When feeling well enough to be sure nothing else is confusing the situation and want to have clarity you might consider trying those different dairy types. In general lactose free has same proteins like regular. So if reacting to it its not a problem with lactose but might be with proteins and might make sense to try A2 dairy if available/affordable. I have multiple sensitivities with mostly IBS / joint / skin manifestations and its complicated ... so in general i go with trial and see if there is difference after eliminating certain things.

The sunflower lecithin is the most objectionable ingredient I see on the label. I use it in my (whey) protein powder ice cream. My actual consumption is about 1/3 cup a day. I think the term milk is part of the problem. But it sounds better than juice. There are folks that are allergic to milk who need alternative creamy products. One could make their own coconut or almond "milk" at home without the additives. Another reason that some lean toward these products are calorie restriction diets. I'm not advocating, just offering a different perspective. Thanks for this good information. As a former dairy farmer, raw milk is very good.

    • @AgnesMariaL
      @AgnesMariaL Місяць тому +1

      It's not the dairy itself that is the problem... There are three issues that people may have with cow's milk. One is the lactose, as only certain populations are genetically adapted to digest it into adulthood. Another is the size of the fat globules; because cows are so much larger than we are, the fat in their milk is a much larger particle than the fats in our own milk, and some - particularly babies - can have issues digesting those globules. The third is the protein type. Most dairy cows are type A1, and many people don't tolerate it well. If you can get milk from a dexter or a miniature jersey, you'll get the type A2 which pretty much everyone can handle. Also if you can get milk from one of these smaller cows, you also solve the fat globule problem, as those are much smaller in these smaller cows.
      If your daughter can find it, she can also try goat or sheep milk. I have never heard of anyone unable to tolerate either of these, except for those who just can't stomach the smell and taste of the goat's milk.
