The interesting thing about the campaign is that it doesn’t take a stance on government types as good or bad, it shows how people in positions of power can change the world for better or for worse. Polania is a republic, but that doesn’t stop Lech Kos from being a disgruntled warrior who doesn’t know when to cut his losses, and who is so driven by his idea of how things should be he’s willing to get innocent people murdered for it. Rusviet is a Despotic empire, but Tzar Nicholas doesn’t abuse that power, if anything he’s too indecisive, and that self-doubt and second guessing allowed Rasputin to ingratiate himself and run things from behind the scenes. Saxony is a Constitutional Monarchy with a long history of imperialism and warmongering, but Gunter and Kaiser Wilhelm have seen the horrors of modern war and are filled with regret, willing to put their lives on the line to prevent it from happening again. It’s only the short sighted and inexperienced who bring about the Nation’s hard times.
So what kind of weapons should we give to the Saxonian Power Armor troopers. A mortar! Good good and what else like some machinegun or other long-range wea... And a battering ram!

Excellent work, and I quite enjoy these videos. I might even pick up this game at some point. One thing I would recommend though if you do decide to play more of this is that you try to shorten down the cutscenes further. While they are great and enjoyable, they seemed to be more than half of the video.
Rimmy thought the amount of units at 25:50 was bad but what he didn't realize was that he played the mission the way it was intended, that is quickly and with a lot of rushing. For anybody with a turtle playstyle that took each objective slowly but with overwhelming firepower, they didn't run into 6 or 7 mechs and a few groups of drones. My game lasted 2 hours, there were no drones there but there was about 30 mechs, which instantly vaporized everything I threw at it. The game keeps spawning more and more units the longer it runs without a real popcap, something the subreddit has had a time complaining about because you have to switch to cheese tactics to win

Both Tzarina and Tzaritza are valid in English, and I think Tzarina is typically the more common one and preferred one for English.
Honestly, I didn't know Tzaritza was a thing! I've always seen or heard Tzarina or on rare occasions Tsarina. A visual translation issue, perhaps? does the character that gives it the ITZ sound look like an N?
@@christianhill3397 yeah its ц. def looks like a n to native speakers of english
@@christianhill3397 If that's the case, then the word Tzaritsa(Царица) would be to you Narina. Idk, doesn't make sense to me
Me: zooms to the nearest Rimmy vid
Also me: freaks out about tallboy cosplayers on a battlefield.
What I want to see now is an epic crossover between 1920+ and Kaiserreich - the two could mesh together flawlessly!
"The mines have legs, that's fucking adorable!"
Terrifying. I think the word you were going for, was terrifying.
No, he meant adorifying. (Portmanteau of adorable and terrifying if you couldn't tell)
Well, part about "monarchy is a good guys" - depends? They have club of their own which actively tryed to counter democratic movements (like France)
yes because they didn't want a repeat of the reign of terror in there country
@@artski09 terror or own authority and literally elite lifestyle?
@@darykeng bit of both really. Things were going well for more people than usual in the belle epoque, especially in the Central Powers of Europe ( so France, Germany and so on. England too of course. )
Viva la revolucion
They're for infantry fire support and mêlée combat against mechs.
So I think that fits them. Although I would like to see variants of the Eisenhans wielding MGs or have their mortars replaced by Pom-Poms.
Fastest click in the west.
*drops in from above* HELLO THERE!
The little mine running up and punting that stilt soldier into the air at 3:25 was oddly cute and funny.
I like how the three campaigns flow into one another.
*Stand User:* Eisenhans *Stand:* Rammstein - devastating enemies from long range with explosive attacks and sending out pulsing shockwaves. *Special move:* Du Hast Deathgrip
Craziest thing about Rasputin is the fact he's voiced by Pyotr Glanz, a real and famous Russian actor. A very nice touch, IMO.
Yes! More entertainment to view! Good video Rimmy!
Ferris are the long nose tribe, also ride the tiger based pols
0:36 the developers pranked us ! for goodness sake !
18:06 the second I saw that I knew Rimmy would laugh
17:06 "Isengrim" The Fable name of the Wolf. Name means Iron growl
17:11 "Stiefmutter" the german word for a Stepmother. Quiet on point on how a stepmother is often viewed in fairytails, sending out her stepchildren to die..
17:21 "Erlkönig" Based on the poem from Goethe, where a Father is riding home through a dark and cold night with his sick son, his son is having feather dreams, seeing the Erlkönig, an elven king grabing for him, touching him and trying to ripp and lure him out of his fathers grasp... as the father ruines the horse to get home in time, he arrives and his son is dead.
18:48 "Eisenhans" Is a fairytail where a Man is living on the bottom of a swamp, pulling everyone down who dares to come close to it. His skin is thick and brown, looking just like iron, which is where he gets his Nickname from "Iron Hans"
Mech: gets stuck
Also Mech: Stievmutter what are you doing?
Nobody
Mech that can mele in iron harvest
Rimmy: Im goona do whats called a warhammer move
Only 3 tho: Zubov, Serp and Smialy
@23:22 steinmetz last words translate to "Good luck for the future" HAHAHAHAH
DAMN i will be sitting on my heels to see the saxonians
as someone who's vacationed on the Black Sea coast several times....depends on the country. In Bulgaria, heck yeah. In Romania....stay the freak away unless you want to swin through algae....lots of algae
Janek and Olga are like two tsunderes flirting with each other.
The best part are Voice Acting. The Rasputin VA is my favorite Russian dubber of so many roles, and him talking English is so good
Gunter is officially rad as hell, double wolves.
honestly id rather have never been born just so nicola could have this bizzare future in the limelight
I am a simple man. I see rimmy, I click.
Olga: BAKA!
Rimmy: I'm sorry, did you just say baka!
Janek: Makes sense.
You beat Tesla's factory on the old version. Respect man. I had been stuck on it for an ungodly amount of time (I'm not very good at RTS games)
Yeah. Or spawn Nakovalna with Gulay-gorod or cheese with Yaneck
“Smells like Vietnam”
You have earned an achievement-War Crimes-
Bruh I was just talking about this in the last video about all the factions they could add and there all in one mission talking to each other, Amazing!
Excellent work, and I quite enjoy these videos. I might even pick up this game at some point.
One thing I would recommend though if you do decide to play more of this is that you try to shorten down the cutscenes further.
While they are great and enjoyable, they seemed to be more than half of the video.
It’s crazy how this game alines with our history so many pointers to event’s in the past
The part where Olga says baka she is actually saying poka, pronounced paka, which is eqiuvelent to saying bye.
2:03
YES!
Ride the tiger, You can feel his heart but you know he's mean.. Oh don't you see what I mean?!
If i´m not mistaken, the voiceactor of Gunther also does the german voice for Mr. Krabs
"War of '05" - The Rusviet-Togawan War
This game has an amazing storyline
Saxonian campaign is my fave. I love Gunther so much
I had to pause and do something else, and the first thing I heard after unpausing hours later was “smells like Vietnam!”
Where's the bear? There was supposed to be a Russian-Shattering bear!
Polanians took it, so only tiger left
Dont you know? The famous Russian tiger, it only habitats enclosed, public spaces commonly referred go as a zoo.
@@elgenerico5453 Well, I mean, there IS the Siberian Tiger...
@@alexandersturnn4530 No no no, The *Russian* tiger is much more known
@@elgenerico5453 Yeah but what I was getting at is that Changa is a Siberian Tiger, so it's not all that unrealistic for Olega to have a Tiger.
...If you just wanted to make a Joke and it once more went completely over my Head, feel free to r/wooooosh me.
27:37 a great joke missed is the angelic light behind Nikola is actually just a lightbulb which is then shut off by the rusviets
The Brunhilde is just the Bismarck on legs.
0:24, how did the mech take off without roasting the two standing in the blast zone?
Stiefmutter means Mother in law
Stepmother, actually.
Mother-in-law is Schwiegermutter.
I'm still so confused so it's like the soviet union but they just left the Tsar in power? does anybody know the lore here?
I don't know that much, but I think this is meant to be analogous to WWI, except the Russian Revolution hasn't happened yet.
Yes I think. The implications of that in a historical setting leads to some arguably insane people taking charge
The political maneuvering by Rasputin and this is the same reason why so many red stars. Is this illogical? Yes, but this world of Poland exist in XX century and actually strong, so pure power fantasy
The Tsar is still in power, but the army uses the simple red star as it was easier to paint on the mech and equipment.
If you want to learn more, search the "Templin Institute", they have a few videos about the game already
@@theodorepinnock1517 Which one? It was, like, 3 revolutions (1905, 1917 February (bourgeo-democratic) and 1917 October (Socialistic))
And, apparently, revolution if 1905 did happen and established Duma was actually used instead of "Here, are you happy?!" by tsar Nicholai II
by the way, his last words of 'Leben Sie Wohl' means 'Good luck to the future' in german
Those Striders do be looking thicc now. And that was a good whistle.
Inside you, there are two wolves. One is Saxonian. The other is Saxonian. You are Gunter von Duisburg.
Lol i just love that everyone in this game has a large predatory animal as a sidekick

It's not really a big secret that Rimmy is a weeb. Should have known that after he did Valkyria Chronicles. Especially so after he did the You and Me and Her series.
Literally go look at the second channel ya fools
The plot reminds me alot of RA1,
With Fenris as Nod and all, anyone?
I love how Kaiser Frederick is Kaiser in this game and Kaiser Wilhelm II is still Prince Wilhelm, in real life Kaiser Frederick was Kaiser Wilhelm’s father
Oh yes the bridge. I had like 7 super heavy mechs on that bridge at one point.
23:00 Icarus is the man the flew too close to the sun and fell to his death
so, maybe ssid protocol involves a massive fuck*ng mech that can destroy everything, I guess?
@Rimmy - Downunder Gaming while we don't know the full name of nations, we do have full names of england and japan, those being the clans of albion and the togawa shogunate, the marauders in arabia could also be a reference to the crimean khanate which are in the tabletop game
Weird why Saxon mentioned then and not Rusvet, which deals with them on regular basics
@@darykeng dlc my dude
3:00 Tall boys is the name you are thinking of.
Edit: I need more of this it's like crack to me.
So basically that stryder (šetač) means walker while that bigger mech (čuvar) means guard the mechs that can do the repairing and stuff (sluga) means servant
