Bro this video is fcuken insane 💥🔥 The way u individually tested each mic (naturally and with singing vocals) is a sign of greatness in your craftsmanship.
For anyone that buys the Zoom iq7, I was reading the manual and discovered that there is a black case adjuster near the male lightning connector. If you take it off, it fits with some cases. PS 3:34 you can sing 👏🏿 If that’s an actual song that’s out, I want it
this was the first video I clicked on and I got the answer I was looking for right away , thank you brother , great video , easy to watch and the details explaining how they all work plus price point was just excellent!
Might be a stupid question but I want to carry on recording myself playing guitar and singing on my iPhone which is on a tripod. I presume the mics let you record a video as normal but with better sound ?
I am also looking for that!! I want to record from my phone singing and playing the guitar … I want both sounds ( guitar and voice ) to be recorded in a balance way.
How did u do the effects and processing? Within the iphone or u had to extract the audio and bring it to your laptop? And recombined everthing again? Thanks
Thank you.I think the sound characteristic of shure mic is the same as their headphone, which adds some warmth to music.Audigo mic is undoubtedly the best in this video,it shows more detail and better dynamic, and I will go for Zoom IQ7 personally cause the price is more "reasonable",although it's a litter over bugdet.
How do you record a video of the singer singing with the background music ? Can you please please do a tutorial on this. How about how to self record a video of you singing with a background song or a guitar using the self facing camera?
Thanks a lot for the breakdown, very useful. Unrelated, but how do you add reverb and effects (normalizing audio etc..) to a video which was recorded on a phone from the phone itself? I can do it on a laptop but I'm looking for ways to easily keep the full workflow on mobile
I need phone lavs but stereo so I can separate the two tracks. They seem to all record onto one channel. So limiting in post. I need to separate the two speakers to be able to edit them individually. Do you know of any? It seems to be a receiver problem. I’m fine if it’s combined into one stereo track as long as I can separate the left and right track from each other and it’s actually recorded left and right - not record everything “equally” and then just panned to each side.
Fantastic comparison. Some caveats: I really liked the sound of the Shure MV88, but if I wanted to do video at the same time I'm not sure I would get the proper directionality with the Video orientation along with how the mic position is placed. Maybe I'm wrong in that regard? The Audigo looks like the best alternative to do video with Audio and get higher quality audio with the Video being placed wherever needed while the Audigo mic can be stand mounted away from the iPhone video.
The Shure MV88, would it sound good up next to an electric guitar amp playing with relatively loud distortion? Or would it get all muddy and poo poo sounding?
Nice Video. Too bad there is no USB-C version of the Shure that attaches directly to the phone, so we are stuck with iPhone 14 or older. Anyone know of a usb-c mic that plugs right into the phone? There is a Rodes but it is plagued with issues and the audio quality isn't very good. Would love to find something!
Hey Rock, same here, did you find something? I ended with the HyperX Quadcast so far which is OK actually but Im sure there are better and smaller options. I have the Movo VXR10 Pro too but I need to find a fully supported adapter (3.5mm to USB-C) for my Samsung S23 Ultra. On the iPhone the Movo works fine and the sound is OK too.
I discovered the Saramonic MTV11. Not to be confused with their original "Mini." It's plug-n-play like the Zoom stereo mic, but sounds suprisingly rich in comparison, with less background his. To be honest, it think the quality competes with the Sure-88, and at half the cost. (Just mentioning this mic as an option).
How can I use the iQ7 on a iPhone 15 Pro Max? I just upgraded and the iQ7 is lightning and iPhone 15 is USBc! What can I do? All the adapters say "Not for audio" HELP!!!
I just got the Zoom stereo mic for my podacst. I my first impressions where it that the audio doesn't sound full and rounded. I does pick up the room nicely, however. Maybe i just need to play with the sensetivity.
Can somebody help me figure out why my Audigo tracks have this weird clipping sound even with my gain very low and Mic several feet away? My levels were good, but there’s still this clipping sound. I figured it was because the mic is wireless.
My boyfriend plays bass guitar (both electric and standup) so I am always recording live full bands. I have an iPhone 14 Pro. My biggest issues are that I can never hear the bass in my recordings, and of course background noise. My phone is set up on a tripod, usually about 6 feet in front of the band. What mic -under $150- would you recommend that’s going to pick up that all-important bass line best?
When you say "With Effects and Processing" do you mean transferring it to a DAW and mixing? sounds like Audigo is a good option for those who have difficulty using DAW
Actually there are a number of adjustments you can make in the Audigo app after recording. You can change stereo width, add reverb, EQ, and compression. And we are regularly updating the app with new features as well.
Hey Patrick, I'm from India. Please help me because I want to record a decent quality from iPhone 15 without any mic to make my songs Demos. Please guide me to archive the decent good quality from iPhone.
I used to use the Zoom iq6 with an extender (2 meters) to record video on my iPhone with lightning connector. Now that I bought myself another IPhone with usb c I tried the Apple adapter from usb c to lightning to use my old microphone. It did not work! So now I am thinking of buying the Zoom AM7 for my IPhone 15 plus. Does anybody know-will it work. There are so videos on UA-cam but they are all about connecting am7 to the pro versions of the IPhone…
The song Javi is singing?? “DUI” is the name of the song and should be dropping by summer. You can keep up with Javi at @callmejavi on Ig. Appreciate the kind words and support my friend 🙏
Personally, I would not go with one of these mics if you're recording into garage band. A traditional DAW recording setup works better with microphones that you can connect & use directly with that DAW.
when he starts to sing in the processed with effects part, was that modified afterwards or is there an iphone app that has that feature when starting to sing? thanks in advance!
when you feature the singer's take with effects and processing, what is being used to create the realtime effects? Is there an app on the iphone or was it taken done post-production style?
Audio is the best among others imo. Although you cannot automatically open your phone record like IOS does but still you can do it using the audio app!
Great video. are any of these compatible with Smule? Do they come with headphones so that we can listen to backing tracks etc. while singing? Thank you!
Any tips or product recommendations for drummers wanting to capture live drum cams without a ton of equipment, hassle or bothering the sound techs? TIA!
Thanks for the video! Really helpful. I was wondering if you could help me out with just a quick query... I was looking for a mic to record short videos with iphone (for social media) that include both music and voice and sometimes just voice only. Would you still recommend one of these or Rode Go Wireless I/II (which I heard also does the job)? If not, why not? Do the others require video and audio syncing or is that automatic? I would highly appreciate your opinion. Thank you!
Hello, thank you for your videos. I'm not certain if you've mentioned it, but which iPhone model are you using in this video? Is it the iPhone 14? thank you
I have a question about the headphone jack of the Zoom IQ7. Can you hear through Zoom's jack the previously recorded tracks in Garage Band while making a record? Do you also hear the mic signal while doing that? Thanks!
Outstanding video! I record from a iPhone 12 and may upgrade to 15 this year. Suggestions for piano recordings? I had an apogee mic which wasn’t very good. Also I have a shure M58 what about an adapter cord? Thanks.
@@lukehill6272 No. I am thinking of upgrading to a new iphone 15 and ipad. So my recordings will be better anyway. Interesting I find that my recordings from my iphone 12 are better than my older ipad about 5 years old. Let me know if you buy a mic.
Thank you for this video!! :D Any thoughts on which to purchase for a string quartet recording outside? I'm really leaning towards the Shure microphone or Audigo.
Hey! For that use I'd recommend the Audigo. I feel that mic does a better job or recording multiple instruments at once. I also like how the Audigo mic will place recorded instruments within the stereo field based on where they are recorded in proximity to the microphone (front, left, right, back). I can imagine you could get some really beautiful sounding recordings of your string quartet. Oh, and wireless is just so much nicer. You put the mic on a mic stand, press record remotely from your phone. It's nice!
Thanks for this. With the mv88 does it work when using the iphone video camera? Ideally i need to mic up my amp using it, but also record video at the same time? Would really appreciate any help, cant find an exact answer any where. Tia

I just want to play guitar and make a video at the same time

The Audigo app includes reverb as well as EQ and compression. You can also adjust the stereo width after recording.
How is the latency on the wireless mics?
Sorry for the delayed reply. No latency with Audigo as audio is recorded to storage on the mic then saved to the phone after recording.
