  • Minor clean up and bowl porting OE heads with stock valves. Stock magnums usually fall off hard after 4400rpm (196ish dur. cam). I am looking to take it out to 5200rpm using a stock ported kegger, bowl ported and gasket matched OE heads, 52mm throttle body, and a small 208 cam. Original plans were to use the stock 230,000 bottom end, but I’m seriously considering dropping H405cp pistons in the untouched( not boring out) block. This gains me around 1pt of static compression and raises my piston around .020-.040 from stock for better quench. I have already removed the cat and it will get headers. Full timing should be around 36 degrees rite now.

Looks like they will work nice. You were able to open that pushrod pinch up a lot.

Great work! You mention that you are dropping in a Hughes spring kit, what springs are you planning to use?

Yes, the only gasket I have been buying these last couple years.
