Luckily I saw them twice in 2007 and 2010 before they split up. I have a photo with Thurston Moore outside the Roundhouse in London and their autographs (apart from Kim's, she was too tired).
I wish I could have seen these guys years ago. Don't get me wrong, they're still cool but to have seen them as twentysomethings (or even thirtysomethings) full of energy would have been immense.
@thedayitriedtodie the 90s is just a concept there is no reason we cant employ the same standards to indie rock now. we miss the music now because nothing is being done to develop to interesting rock music. I am 19 years old and have listened to pavement, the 3ds, the breeders, st johnny, mudhoney, dinosaur jr since i was a little kid believe me decent innovative low fi indie rock music hasn't died. its just waiting to be reborn and recreated.
Nowadays no. Since Nirvana Jaguars, Mustangs and Jazzmasters prices have went up since people actually want to buy them. But I can tell you that these Thurston and Lee used around this time and before wouldn't cost that much
@Lambstryker Yes. it is called 1991: The Year that Punk Broke. It is Sonic Youth, Nirvana, Dinosaur Jr., Babes in Toyland, Ramones, Gumball, and others.
Steve Jay Shelley, baterista estadounidense, nacido el 23 de junio de 1963 en Midland, Michigan. Formó parte de la formación original de la banda de punk :"Crucifucks".
there always is allot of really great music arround. the world does not more suck than in the 90...(and sonic youth make at least as good records as they did back in the 90 )
can anyoneeeee tell me whats that riff in the beginning of I LOVE HER... on the studio version. I believe its just some seconds of a whole song, but i don't find it...is it possible that it is a Stooges song? Help meeeee!
When I was young this band shaked my mind with these guitar sounds, Thurston and Lee were very crazy every time...
she comes into my mind
twisting through my nerves
I love her all the time
I think it safe to say that Sonic Youth is one of the best bands that ever was. Make sure you see them live at least once in your life!
Haha. Too late man. They split up in 2011. My dream to see them live has been shot down.
Yeah about that
Luckily I saw them twice in 2007 and 2010 before they split up. I have a photo with Thurston Moore outside the Roundhouse in London and their autographs (apart from Kim's, she was too tired).

These guys really look like high school teenagers, now they look like in their 30's. Old age does not happen to Sonic Youth...
Noise total
some of them were when these guys got them back in the early/mid eighties...
Lee is Insane
