What did you guys think of that pube? lol Freaked me out!!! Should I dig through the trash and put it in the back of the Van for Chris? You guys like miniature accessories right.. Have a great night 🤣🤣🍺🍺
Honest, true restoration. None of that "Restoration +" crap those other guys do, just giving it back the beauty it once had without adding details that weren't there. I truly appreciate this kind of work!!
These things can fetch up to like $1200 if the color and condition is right, purple is uncommon and it was probably worth $80 as it was un-restored. Buddy didn't know what it was, he got it for free!
Plating the body worked great ! This is another model I've never seen before, I've seen regular V.W. vans but no beach bombs. I should go to diecast school. 🍻
Well that looks wonderful sir I am highly impressed you can work under those freezing conditions you are what I described as a true trooper so may you and your Arctic buddies have a wonderful weekend also 😊👍
Awesome job Austin. I think you should send the pub back , (it could be a nose or ear hair lol) with the Beach Bomb, shows providence it came from 1969 😉😄👍
That’s what I asked you before and now I seen it, about spraying then letting dry a bit in between coats, hard to see it sometimes with the miracle of UA-cam 😂 great job! One of my fav channels!
I just really wish I had time and money to get everything to do this, I did a couple as a kid and one or two over the last year but not all the equipment needed!
CLR both the body and base then copper brush them. Then plate them, it's what I have bin doing for years. If the proper dilution process is done after each step, there are no side effects down the road after painting. Awesome work as always
PERFECT RESTORATION I have 3 of my brothers Van's just like this one. Thank God he took better care of them. I loved the way special care was taken to do the best restoration. I didn't know that it takes so many treatments from the zinker to get rid of all the damage. Well worth it though
Hi there! Me again, once again a VERY nice outcome. Before you fixed it looked like it went into a mud pit and got out. And then when you fixed it looked like brand new! Also vintage p u b e s. XD
You did a awesome Job 👍 that beach Bomb looks real good again no one could believe that ,that is the same casting this Kind of Videos you should do more thats so cool 👍
Nice work. I use the leftover resin from a windshield repair kit to fix cracked windshields and roof panels. I just clean them with some warm water and dry really well. Then I flex the plastic a bit to open the crack and fill with resin. Then I just cut a piece of the clear plastic overlay from the kit to smooth out the resin and sit in the sun for a bit to harden. I have also used it to build up chipped areas.
Depends on how much resin you are able to get into the crack. On a few cars I was able to see the crack if I turned the car a certain way. I experimented on some new car windshields to figure out the technique. For example, on this car I would figure out how to flex the plastic to get it to open up a bit and place the nozzle of the resin bottle right up against the crack and gently squeeze, this helped push the resin into the crack. I tried a mini vacuum chamber once to see if would suck the resin into the crack but my vacuum pump crapped out and I have not had a chance to repair it.

You always do such lovely work.

Absolutely awesome restoration, Sir !!!!!!!!!!!!!
The man the myth the legend does it again!
"original 1969 pube" Through my research of videos from the era there was in fact an abundance of them at the time
Personally, I miss the pubes on women. Nowadays, you can't ever tell if the curtains match the carpet....
