I have watched other guys pages, they're boring or no personality. You are talkative and explanatory. You're the only one worth watching. Great job. I love the Deora itself.
Face reveal @ 4:55!! (Great restoration, by the way. Even if you've done one before, doing it again some time later just shows how far your skills have come.)
2:20 Aarrgh ! My eyes ! Lol. that's a bright towel. Really enjoyed this video, like you say feels good to bring one back from the dead, and this one deserved it ! Thanks !
The orange looks almost copper with only a couple layers. When you were spraying the black, the orange was popping through, that looked sick. The complete look turned out awesome, especially the long boards. Great work.
I love that color. It's really nice with the wooden boards, too. Sweet ride... And yet it was another blub-free restoration. [sigh] Yeah, well me and Preacher Dan went down to the blub store and got a monster-size box-o-blubs the other night... and then we went out cruising chicks in my '71 Buick. And then we met Moira and Kathleen at the drive-in. Moira is an astrophysicist who loves cats and blubs and Kathleen is an orthopedic surgeon who is big time into Swedish death metal and blubs. We had malts and blubs and hit up pinterest for our favorite cat pictures and rocked out hard to death metal and looked at the stars all night long. So if you were wondering where Preacher Dan was, he was out with me and Moira and Kathleen. Blub blub blub. (sharing blubs) Blub blub blub blub blub.
@@jammygamer8961 No sadly I don't. The ones that made it out of the '60s relatively unscathed were passed down to my son to paly with some 30 years ago. Where they went from there I haven't a clue.
Great Restoration Brother...my mind said, Sunburst Spectra Flame Orange as well, right after you asked what color you should paint it! Nicely done sir!
Stunning restoration! Great minds think alike because as soon as I saw the orange towel and buffing wheel I was thinking that you should go orange 😎 Can't wait for you to find the perfect candidate to do a custom on because I know you will do an awesome job. I agree that it was so nice a casting it deserved to get restored. 3 bulbs up in a beer formation 🍻
I'm glad you said something about the hardener in this video. I was going to ask if you found out something different or if you have been substituting the clear coat for the hardener!
The original dodge deora is such a cool concept! I wish Hotwheels rereleased the original one in the mainline more often.. the orange works really well! Wouldve also been a good antifreeze candidate, I think.
I was thinking the exact same thing for you getting a bad condition Deora and customizing it. Heck, I could even see you use your 3D printer and make a sleek funky camper top or gun turrets, etc...hahaha.
Unreal! As always. I'd love to see you do a custom one as well... Maybe you could try the gradient paint on a deora again but this time not touch and ruin it immediately after spraying;)
Wow really cool Deora man! Almost looks like polished copper! I built one of these as a 1:25 scale model, was a lot of fun, it was molded in lemon yellow, but was supposed to be painted champaign gold according to the directions. The only thing I know for sure about this car (truck) was it was a prototype based on the Dodge A100 truck. It was a pretty cool exercise in automotive design but would never see production, probably because the only door was in the front. Sweet restore!
That is a stunning Deora Austin. I'm watching this one with interest as I bought a Deora a whike back to restore myself when l get the right space to do it. Now l can follow your lead to do mine so to speak, great job Ace love that Orange colour. I'm thinking of making some surf boards from some wooden coffee stirrers ...gonna be raiding Costa Coffee l think lol 😄 👍

The Deora looks awesome, the paintjob very beautiful. Nice restoration.
Excellent restoration. Your paint mixing and colors are spot on. Hats off to you sir.
Hands down some of the best paint finishes on hotwheels on UA-cam , would be badass to see a two tone truck in like root beer / orange spectre flame
Pleasant surprise. Great looking Deora in Orange.
Mine was purple back in the day. Wish i hadn't driven the wheels off them. Had all the sweet 16 cars in the good old wheel case.
Hell ya. Everytime I watch one of these resto's of the 70s cars I get a flood of memories.
"if only i'd known then what i know now..." i might still have my old collections 😕
not to be rude but do you still possess them?

I'm glad you said something about the hardener in this video. I was going to ask if you found out something different or if you have been substituting the clear coat for the hardener!
