I just love these guys and it really does suck they don't get a fraction of the recognition they deserve but I guess those of us that know better will die a whole lot happier. I remember hearing My Little Japanese Cigarette Case years ago and being astounded they weren't more known than they are because it was just so weaving and intricate. They patched on to a song long forgotten that I loved years before by an equally underrated band The Mutton Birds and the song was The Heater. I don't mean to plug another band here because they are long forgotten. I just remember discovering Spoon and feeling happy that this kind of energy was its own thing

I love Hot Thoughts. As a great grandmother I gotta say all my friends n aquaintentses are still listening to that tired old crap from rhe 60"s n 70's. It was good music for the time but I like to broaden my horizons. Theres so much amazing music out there that I havent heard yet. I love alternative music. Thats where I got introduced to Spoon, Muse, n so many more. Im a happy grandma with an open mind and a forward thinking attitude.

But after listening to the song again, it seems sooooooo familiar to me? But I checked and it hasn’t appeared in any movies or shows besides that particular Catfish episode. Is it possible it’s familiar cause I have watched that episode on TV, prior to watching it on UA-cam?
