My ideal light Saber would have a 9 inch hilt of a black chrome color, a crossgard that resembles an old knights sword, the blade would be white and in shape of the dark saber, and the style that would be used with light Saber would be a custom form that is a combination of tangsodo style sword fighting and old knight style fighting.

My ideal lightsaber would be silver colored like the cyber, with ghost fire crystals, I uses these rare crystals in my saber because they are near invisible and silent making it hard for my enemies to discern wether or not I’ve tricked them mid fight by turning off my saber and turning it back on, and for surprise attacks

Hello this is a comment about the giveaway which I have no chance of winning but my birthdays coming up soon and I thought it'd be funny if I won.... Which I won't.
Can I just quickly say that I'm a huge fan of your work and find it truly useful and fantastic. Your what got me back into star wars and have made me interested in the lore so yeah. Thank you so much for the awesome content.
So this has been my dream lightsaber for about a year now. It would be a saberstaff with a beskar hilt with gold accents all around it. The pommel would be a sort of rancor leather with a rigged grip. The emitter would similer to Jaro Tapel where it has the gaps but there would be many more. Like line.gap.line.gap.line.gap.you get it. And finally the blade would be a straight yellow blade as I'd neither accoste with jedi nor sith.
So yeah that's my dream saber it would be so awesome if I won because my birthday is soon but I highly doubt winning and may I say that I'm actually very interested in your brand of sabers and hope to purchase one for Christmas as I don't have much money.
But yeah thank you for the consideration and amazing content
      Ps:form 4/5 I'd be aggressive yet fast

My Ideal lightsaber is a red bladed lightsaber because I think that the sith are correct in their ways, as Qotsisajak says,
"Peace is a lie. There is only Passion.
      Through Passion, I gain Strength.
      Through Strength, I gain Power.
      Through Power, I gain Victory.
Through Victory my chains are Broken.
      The Force shall free me.”
I would like my lightsaber to have a curved and double sided hilt similar to Asajj Ventress’s lightsaber but with a gungan/under water feel to it. The gungans are probably my favorite sentient Star Wars species. It’s really a shame that not many are force sensitive. One side of the lightsaber would be powered by a dual phase ligninor crystal and the other would use the bifurcating cyclical-ignition pulse technique powered by two ultima pearls because in my Star Wars universe I am a gungan named Koff Zipps. Born 42BBY, I was sent away to Mon Cala as a child during the battle of Naboo because the council was worried about my force sensitivity being found out and exploited. I was eventually found hired and trained by the empire and became one of the most well known assassins of the rebellion era after killing 7 Jedi during Order 66. My lightsaber was given to me in 23BBY by the grand inquisitor and I used it for mostly underwater targets until I amounted enough credits for my ligninor crystal and started to bring in the big money. I died at the hands of Luke Skywalker in 12ABY in attempt of his assassination.

my ideal lightsaber.. this is a toughy for me. through the years ive actually contemplated what ide want if i had a saber like that in the movies and well... heres the specks
it would have a grip style similar to obi-wan's first saber in episode 1. with the solid silver on one side but then the black grippy lines on the other. the pommel would be like lukes in return of the jedi. above the grip it would have an activator switch box similar to lukes in return of the jedi however the switch box instead of 1 rectangle button would hold 2 buttons. the emitter would look like someone took the emitter shroud off of yodas saber and just mirrored it. so basically 2 boxes with a V shape between them. inside the shrouds however there would be 2 saber emitter openings. reason? because the saber i wish to have would have 2 blades but both at the same end able to activate and deactivate independently of each other. hence the 2 buttons in the emitter box. the lower button being the primary activator and the upper being for the second hidden blade.
but yeah... thats my saber ^u^ i hope i explained it in a way people would understand XD

I will never not gush over the fight scene in the clone wars where Dooku is fighting Anakin and Obi Wan together so with Dooku being the master duelist he is he put Anakin on the defensive while allowing Obi Wan to go on the offensive behind him. Basically forcing each of them to go against their nature and thus making it an easy win against two of the top Saber duelists of the clone wars.

    For the contest)
My ideal lightsaber would be a sith Saber with a smaller handle with unique Zeffo type of designs on it, it would be a bronze color with white around it, the blade color would be red but it would have a short blade on the other side that is orange, (to represent energy and fire(it could also be black, to show darkness, hate, emptiness and aggression)). There would be handle guards around the emitter.
The design fits my personality, (not the colors seeing as I'm not a heartless killer) but because it kinda just feels right to me. Almost like a kyber. And mainly because I've had an attraction to the mysteries of energy, and darkness

I think my ideal saber would have a curved, yet smooth hilt with minimal protrusions or dips to allow me to use the more precise blows that the curved hilt brings. In the small (probably about 1/16 in) dips will be filled with some sort of rubber for grip. It will be colored black, with the grip being grey. I also would like it to be dual phase ghost fire crystal, as I think Sith Assassins are really cool and the ghost fire crystal would fit their needs almost perfectly. I would also like a spike made of Phrik coming out of the side on the outside of the curve, kind of cupping the blade, like Darth Tyrannus’s saber. While a curved hilt usually is paired with form 2, I would like to make a combination of the curved hilt with form five djem so, using the unorthodox angles matched with the dual phase and the powerful blows to knock them off balance, and in an awkward position. As in the Star Wars universe, I would be in sith assassin, I would want some way to gain an advantage over my main adversaries, the Jedi. The grip combined with the superior pressure you can apply with the curved hilt would allow me to get close to my lightsaber wielding opponent so that I could possibly grab their lightsaber hilt and turn it off. Then I would use the same tactic as Emperor Palpatine and have a spare saber hidden in my robes somewhere, not to be used as a duel wielding weapon, but as a spare in case the first is destroyed or lost in battle.

My ideal lightsaber + form would probably just end up being a curved hilt saber and Makashi. Both were based around real life fencing, and I took some fencing classes so it's something I would be familiar with. That being said, a mix of Jar'Kai and Makashi might also be good, seeing as rapier and parrying dagger was used historically, and you can basically do the same thing with the Shoto lightsaber.

      Tràkata - deception, practicality

    My ideal lightsaber...
I think that it would be similar to Count Dooku's lightsaber, but slightly less curved, to allow for quick parries and attacks, and it might have a blade with a length that I could change, like Vader's.Its focusing crystal would be a shard of Krayt dragon pearl encased in a highly Force-sensitive Kyber crystal. It would also have an internal circuit that would shut the lightsaber down if anyone but me attempted to use it.
My saber would have a single, purple blade and I would use a more aggressive combination of forms 2, 3, 5 and 6 in order to protect against many different enemies. I would focus on the more martial side of combat, not implementing acrobatics but using the Force to create shields and to push, pull and disarm.
I don't care if the competition is over or not, I like this.

It would be much more useful to have two sabers that are also both dual phased, so you can extend or shrink them whenever necessary.
With Ahsoka's you're stuck with two separate lengths which can make many manuever impossible whilst having dual phased you would have much more freedom in choosing which arm to use.

My ideal lightsaber would be the Guard Shoto sabers due to their distinctive baton-like shape alongside their unique flexibility to be both defensive and offensive. I will make changes to fit my "ideal" sabers however. These sabers will come in three different configurations: a pike, a club, and their standard duel-wielded Guard Shoto form. They will also have two unique functions. My design will be relic like.
My hilts are semi-circular in shape, with indentation accents. Their semi-circle state is for a later combination making them whole. My cylindrical handles are designed to fit my clenched hands precisely, additionally they are capable of detaching from the main hilt. There are pommels for my base-handles shaped like doorknobs, my lower hilts pommel is half of that, each pommel includes a clip that mounts to my person when desired. A spike gently sloping as it protrudes from the sides of my hilts from my base-handles all the way to the outlet of my emitter going beyond, as if surfing on the transmitted beams.
Brylark is perfect for my handles due to its unique patterns that appear as wood ages. My Brylark has a decaying aspect, with archaic rune-like scribings etched upon it giving a faintly luminous green hue throughout. Brylark's lack of saber resistance would necessitate an infusion of Norris root, which would remove Brylark's downfall, staining it a deep dark red. Each handle is enveloped in a sleeve made of Marsh Haunter hide. Their ambushes and surprise attacks are a symbol for what I stand for; their marshy, dank colours complemented each construct. Adjusters are constructed of Cerakote for its silver and placed well above handles, with an activation stud fashioned of Brylark embedded with a unique insignia onto all handles, stabilizing rings alongside the spikes are made of Osmiridium with its deep-gold colour are heat blurred induced by the sheer veracity of each beams' heat. Each pommel would ripple in patterns with indents made of Osmiridium. My hilts being mostly of Cerakote. Everything with a withered appearance, shroud in a dark gloom.
As for my primary crystals, my left-handed saber is mantled with a Lorrdian gemstone, offering me greater foresight delving further into the future. My right-handed blade is mantled with a synthetic crystal, forged out of desperation in hopes of remaining undetected, because knowledge is power when kept concealed. Kasha will be inserted as focusing crystals so that I can stay calm during most frantic battles while leveraging my foresight ability. These kasha crystals bear carvings akin to my Brylark. The crystal energy chamber located opposite my base handle within my middle hilt, being accessible by twisting my base handles off, presenting both my primary as well as focusing crystals huddled within.
My Lorrdian gemstone's colour dominates, while my synthetic closely imitates it. Lorrdian gemstones have a somewhat more yellowish tinge by nature. My beams aren't excessively lengthy, but sufficiently long to be offensive. These sabers are designed to make as little noise as possible when ignited, essentially whisps.
I don't believe the force is an answer to everything, it is also information that plays an important role in the forward motion of events. I'm continuously seeking fresh information, so I am one step ahead. For this reason, I'm donning a Lorrdian gemstone. One's greatest strength is an ability to predict future events.
Every handle has mechanism buttons that, depending on patterns pressed, activates unique functions. Both constructs are equipped with propulsion-based contraptions located on the sides of the base-handles. That, when activated, generate massive swing acceleration, catching adversaries off guard. This is accomplished with a single button press. If the buttons were held down, a Cortosis pike will extend out to a maximum of ten meters, though it can be adjusted lower. In pike form, a new handle will appear, adjusting to my needs as my base-handles become cross-guards. Such like my Brylark and Kasha, this pike has rune-like markings running down its length dawning the green hue too.
As the pike form lengthens, a new emitter forms within the end when it reaches desired length while locked in, emitting a modest beam. However, all beams become slightly unstable as a consequence, culminating in a more aggressive, deeper-sounding hum with irregular crackles. Magnetic polars can be engaged upon transitioning into a pike if desired, allowing a club-like construct to be formed. When transforming into a pike-club-saber, the hilt's previous shape becomes whole rather than semi-circles, the sabers appear to be in unison, deepening the hums, the previously stated spikes show what look like devil horns, and the pommel, which was previously half, has now become full.
With a diversified fighting style that allows for deceit, these constructs cover both short- and long-range, defensive and offensive combat. The Lorrdian gemstone's ability to predict the future puts everyone who opposes me in danger, allowing me to better predict when to alternate forms or fighting styles via my insights, while the nature of my Kasha crystals keeps me completely calm in any tense events, allowing me to maintain a stable connection to the force. The propulsion mechanism becoming exceedingly destructive once an opening is revealed. Furthermore, a new emitter indicates a shift in the enemy's strategy, lest they discover Death's door. Lastly most components resistance to sabers makes them near indestructible weapons of combat alongside it’s absorbent like properties shorting out sabers with a touch of the Cortosis pike. Battle advantages may appear endless at this point. There is one certainty: there will be (((blood)))-(((shed))).
    Best of luck everyone!

    My ideal saber is:
Black saber hilt with some pointed ends at the emitter kinda like Malgus'. There are also some lines of red that start from the top of the hilt, but as the go down they start to get crooked and they zigzag (around 3 centimeters from the bottom of the hilt). Also, under the black there is silver, and one spot of electrum near the emitter. I would have the bottom of the hilt have 3 black spikes with a small bit of a dark red on the ends. And now for a part that would make sense for combat instead of just style. My saber would have a small bit above the centre of the hilt that it has a more rounded off portion that has small grips (kind of like how one of Revan's saber is) so I can control it a lot easier. And now for some "lore". The saber (as you can likely tell) is a sith saber, but the core is unstable to represent my unstable trust of the sith/darkside, but also hating the jedi for the hypocrites they are. My saber would be like Cal Kestis where you can have a double bladed that can be split. My other blade would be purple to show that I used to be a jedi but left to join the sith, though I still have some jedi ideals in the back of my mind. The sound of the blade would be a howling sound for both blades, because the core is of a Krayt Dragon Pearl

Rather than using one of the seven traditional forms, I would train in the Jar’Kai fighting style. I would combine it with several aspects of some of the seven traditional forms, mainly the balance of the six form, and the dueling focus of the second form. But I would combine aspects from all seven forms into a style completely my own. My primary lightsaber would be a standard blue, as I am best suited to the role of a Jedi guardian. My second weapon will be a short blade, purple, that I could lengthen with the flip of a switch. While I would master to weapon fighting, I would also make sure I am not overly reliant on the form, and that I could use just one weapon if I had to. Even though I would be a guardian, I think there are a lot of good aspects of the six form that could be used in a battlefield situation if the practitioner trains with them. I would also learn how to fight unarmed just in case. If I had to summarize my fighting style in one word, I would want to be unorthodox. I don’t want my opponents to be able to predict what I will do next, as that will give them perfect counters to my technique. Instead, I want to make them guess, as my focus would also be to react to a situation on a case by case basis.

my ideal lightsaber would probably be a kind of orange "light sickle" it'd probably would be a kind of cross guarded lightsaber based on the retro sabers, sort of like a chain and sickle. it'd be designed with a lava crystal for the density and weight to use centrifugal force as it's main way of attacking, but the user could modify it to deactivate/reactivate it to an extent from a power cell on the arm. they could deactivate it mid swing to keep the force going of the weight of the blade for possibly capturing targets, and a weapon of this type could possibly be good for crowd control in emergency situations. it'd also be dope for it to have a "power adjuster" on the side of the handle to change it from a "lightsaber chain sickle" to a more traditional retro saber. the only issue would be reinforcing the cable to not snap from swinging it too much, or if an enemy were to use another lightsaber to try to cut the power supply. however, i think it'd be cool for it to have a connector/seperator part similar to the ones on double lightsabers that allow them to seperate from the power cell, and for it to have a much weaker battery inside the handle itself. of course the last part wouldn't last long as it would be more like an last resort in 1 on 1 duels. my only issue with it is if the enemy figures out the gimmick, its basically screwed me over.
TLDR: orange lightsaber chain and sickle that can detach as a last resort that would be great for crowd control and 1 on 1s, until the enemy figures out that the sickle can detach.

My ideal saber would a straight, duel bladed saber that can be split into two separate sabers, like Cal's saber at the end of Jedi: fallen order. I like this design because of the versatility of it. The main material would be damascus steel, with the finer details, like the buttons and the groves, being made from oxidised copper, for the green colour. For the detailed design, I would like to have some small groves going up along the hilt, from button to button, ending at a copper ring going around the hilt, going level with the buttons. I would like a truck grill design on the emitter, as I really like the way it looks. I would like some leather strips wrapped around the hilt, to give me a better grip and because I like the way it looks. The leather would end in two small loops where the saber splits, sorta like the strap on the Wii remote. It would be purely aesthetics though. The colour of the blade would be either yellow, because I like helping others, and it would reflect the line of work that I am pursuing and what I want to do with my life. or the blade would be purple, because i am not afraid of doing some "lesser evil" to help others.

My ideal lightsaber would definitely be a Cross Guard Saber with the main saber being shaped like the Black saber, but the cross guards would be curved upwards, and at the end of the hilt would be curved like Count Dooku’s. The saber would definitely have to be a bit shorter for more control and better dueling. The cross guard would definitely make it easier for controlling your opponent and able to parry.

My ideal lightsaber would be one that was double bladed with curved hilts like darth tyranus though slightly less curved. The emiter would have a short but sharp attachment that would serve as something similar to a bayonet. This could be used for a sneaky take down without have to activate you lightsaber to avoid being noticed. The grip of this saber would also be able break apart similar to Cal kestis’ in order to duel wield and confuse your opponent in battle. The form I would use for this kind of saber would be form 7 allowing me if need be to tap into the dark side to finish of a very powerful opponent.

1 and 7 for being savage
1 and 6 for being jacks of all trades
2 and 3 for energy efficiency and calm mindedness
4 and 5 for being time efficient and one with the Force
I would prefer to focus on 2 and 3, switching between offense and defense as needed, but be able to use 4 and 5 when in a hurry or I needed to fight on uneven terrain.

My Ideal Lightsabers, are for duel wielding, main saber in my right hand, shoto saber in my left. They would be straight hilts, how a simple saber would look, main saber about 10 - 11 inches in length and an identical shoto saber about 2 inches shorter. Both sabers coated in brushed gold from head to toe.
The body would have thin vertical indented lines along it for comfortable grip, spinning and flourishes.
There would be 4 thick black lines around the emitter with a column of horizontal windows in each line and a matching pommel with a milled grip detail. The windows would stand out the most when the sabers ignite a blue blade and would especially be an elegant contrast to the gold of the saber and be a nod to my college colors.
The primary blade length of my main saber would be 36 inches, while the shoto’s primary length would be 26, I say “primary” because both sabers would secretly have the dual-phase function, allowing the blade’s length to be adjusted between 20 - 37 inches during combat, completely throwing off an opponent if constantly switching sabers between hands.
The name of these Sabers is ‘Exodus’ & ‘Exodus’ Shoto, Exodus meaning a mass departure/retreat of people, so in this case, when you see me, it is time for your whole crew to leave.
My second constructed lightsaber would be a coming-of-age saber, one where I am no longer a young, prideful apprentice but a humble, newly found Knight understanding of the Force and on the verge of mastery.
The straight hilt would be about 12 - 13 inches in length, slightly longer than my first main saber.
Designed around a profile shape, with body features lathed and milled details with an indexing ring making gripping the saber effortless.
Featuring an angled emitter with horizontal oval windows on the flat sides of the saber, mirroring the details all down the saber's body, switch, and pommel section.
It will not be entirely gold this time, but a balance of brushed gold and black (Story wise: having used parts of my damaged shoto saber). The flat sides are black, the rest of the saber is gold.
The Krystal used for this saber would be a Danderi Crystal, where the blade color that would change based on the wielder’s connection to the Force, and In my case, I actually see myself with a silver/white blade, it would in fact contrast well with the black windows of the emitter, making the light from the saber especially pop at night.
Another ability as learned from the video is that the Danderi Crystal is also being able to recycle the energy from a battle and recharge the user’s energy to stay alert and keen to the Force.
And because of that, I would name this Saber ‘Rebirth’ for the essential replenish of energy the Krystal gives when ignited and the silver blade representing true balance of the force, allowing one to rise above most who only see conflict.
This saber will not have a shoto, but instead will be utilized alongside my ‘Exodus’ saber for dual wielding, due to losing my Exodus Shoto in battle, (story wise). My new ‘Rebirth’ Saber will go in my right hand, while my original ‘Exodus’ Saber will go in my left hand.

    My ideal lightsaber is:
A double bladed saber like Ventresses’ (can break in two or used as one*), one side purple and one side orange. Both straight hilt. Orange is a traditional shaped lightsaber and and purple is shaped like the Darksaber. The hilts are similar but the Violet-Violence end is smoother and contains small glowing Chanels which are constantly lit (even when the blade switched off (with a black-carbon finish) and the orange is more like Anakin’s but has a golden-bronze hilt and the grip is closer the the center.
Edit - After a little time from the last video I want to make some modifications: the purple blade is only activated by a force user (me) because the ignition switch is within the blade. The orange saber has a core of beskar and the vanity/armor casing of bronze-gold with gilded patters (vines, outlined in black).

    Great Video!!!!!
For the Lightsaber giveaway, I was thinking my Ideal lightsaber would be a golden and silver crossguard lightsaber(like kylo ren’s), but with an exposed kyber crystal(like starkiller’s).
First, I would want the hilt of the saber more clean and elegant. I would want it to not have any holes or cut open spaces(apart from the exposed kyber crystal). I also think it would be cool if the lightsaber’s crossguard itself and the main top area in general was gold, while the rest was a more silver or metallic gray color. Also, for the bottom of the hilt, where some parts stick out more than the others, I would want that to be gold as well. I also think it would be very cool if the hilt could have a few specks of like a glittering material or coloring, to make it stand out. I also would like for the blade to be a lighter color, like blue or white(though the blade color might be changeable, I don’t know).
This is pretty much all the detail i can provide, since I dont know mucb about lightsaber designs, but the basic design i want is there. Anything else is up to the person who is making it, if I win, of course.
I would be really happy if I won, I am subscribed on the main channel and this one too, and I have been watching for a long time, so I really like your channel.

My ideal lightsaber whould be a unique one. (rouge Sith version)
There whould be two hilts connected with a thin lightsaber resistant cord, around 2 meters long. The hilts whould be made to look a bit medieval, with some asian influence (from our galaxy) and a bit of steampunk. A rare woodden grip with some brass, exposed cables and pipes, the kyber crystal whould be visible on both such as it is on starkillers, some silk or leather wrapping on both.
Both hilts whould have a separate kyber crystal. emmitting a lava blade. The blades whould be much shorter than a normal blade, only about 1.5-2 foot long. The User has to be very strong in the force, as the unique lightsaber form used with it, uses a lot of in-air-manipulation of the blades. Throwing the blade and manipualting its trajectory while using the other half as a hand held sword makes it dangerous and unpredictable for your opponent. Its basically a glorified Kyoketsu Shoge (you can look it up)
You can use the string to parry and to disarm your opponent, as well as by wrapping it around your arm and throwing the end could seriously surprise your opponent. I guess you can imagine all the ways you could use it. (Spinning both ends, throwing and manipulating it,, parry and disarm, spin it around you, and because of its short blade very effective swords for quick attacks., etc.)
Its my second entry, if I can only use one, i think Id like it to be this one.
I used to learn european medieval sword fighting and i have a surface knowledge of Japanese weaponry as well, this video was quite interesting, as i knew it was inspired by (of course) real sword fighting techniques, but im surprised it didnt exist in this exact way (as far as I know) in real life. very intricate, and well thought out. Almost baffling.
Love the in depth vids you make, best Star Wars channel!

For a mixture of forms 2 and 5. One curved hilt light saber. A slightly longer precise blade and a crossguard blade on the underside to protect the fingers. The hilt would be made of highly polished wood (like a tiger striped space maple) encasing the beam emitter completely in brass, carved with a fish scale pattern and including a vertical ridge that extends two inches up the spine of the blade. The sliding switch sits on the top of the saber hilt at a comfortable distance from the thumb below the vertical ridge. The grip would be made of aged rancor bone with a rubberized or leather part on the finger (or under) side with a single skinny brass ring in the middle between the second and ring fingers to prevent the hand from sliding along the handle in combat. The curve of the hilt would be slightly more pronounced than Dookus with a long brass pommel carved in the shape of a Krayt dragons head with emeralds or green kyber crystals for eyes. This heavy pommel would cup the pinky finger, increasing control of the blade and adding power to the strikes. Inside the saber would be a Krayt dragon pearl and a seeker crystal for the added life sensing ability. However if seeker crystals are non-canon then a simple green one would suffice in addition to the pearl. The Force is with us all.

The saber hilt would be slightly longer with a standard length blade. The emiter would be made of several metal triangles that when in saber mode are perpendicular with the hilt and when in blaster mode would push the all up to a cone with a missing tip. This would be so cool. I could see a force sensitive smuggler using this. Thanks for reading

Channel the Kyber crystal energy in a full circle around the hilt, sort of making a shield. However, since it’s mostly made of light it shouldn’t weigh too much making it easy to block things quickly and be thrown easily. You could use it like Captain America’s being a force wielder, controlling it mid-flight to ricochet off enemies and return to your hand. Kind of like Vader throwing his lightsaber in Battlefront. It’s blocking and deflecting capabilities would also be quite helpful in any situation.

Two really cool lightsabers that I would use would be dual standard - shoto lightsabers. These two blades would have been constructed on Dathomir, since I think I would be a dark-side user hailing from this planet. The two hilts would have been constructed with Dathomirian wood, with each one mimicking the other one. They would be sealed with metal scraps coming from the old Nightsister lair. Both would be enchanted with Nightsister magicks. Stories of Nightsister battles and Nightsister incantations would be the details engrained in the hilts. If you were to look at them, you could see the green magicks flowing through the details in the hilt. The standard blade would have a bled, cracked, Sorian kyber crystals. The red would show off the dark side of Dathomir and the crack/fiery look of the blade would show Dathomir's burning instability. The shoto blade would have a tainted Nightsister crystal. The kyber crystal produces a blade close to the likes of a lightsaber. They are traditionally used as a weapon by the Nightsisters. Mother Talzin used one and it would be really cool to see an evil red and green combo. The green blade would produce a thin green haze. By using two blades, I think the form Jar' Kai combined with Makashi would aide in fighting opponent. Using them both like Asajj Ventress would help to overcome opponents but if I refined that down, it would become more powerful My form would combine using force pushes and chokes as well as using other darkside abilities such as force lighting. Since my blades are so versed in Nightsister magicks and I myself would be part of that clan, I think if I got to a stage where I would be powerfully versed in the darkside I would eventually be able to use green force lightning just as Mother Talzin did.

My ideal lightsaber would come as a set of 2 white curved 1-handed hilts (so the whole lightsaber has more of a parang look) with brown leather wrapped around the grips. Each hilt would have a beskar plate handguard curving down from just below the blade emitter to just above the pommel and that covers the front-facing knuckes and curves round to partially cover the back of the hand. This is to protect against any hand strikes and to also double-up as an offensive feature to stun opponents with a few short spikes running in a single line down the guard in-line with the knuckles to cause a bit of extra damage. The pommel will also be styled as a short spike for extra offensive capabilities.
The activation levers for each lightsaber will be on the top of the hilts in-line with and in-reach of my thumbs with small brown (to match the leather grips) flick-up guards covering them to prevent accidental activation when in storage/transit. The blade length and intensity dials will be placed along the "inside" of the hilt also within reach of my thumbs whist gripping the hilts. The blade length dials being just below the intensity dials on each hilt. This is for easy activation and adjustment in combat whilst wielding both lightsabers.
Where the design of the hilts does prevent each of the 2 lightsabers from being used ambidextrously (each hilt must be used by the appropriate hand to be effective), the idea is that they are used together in much the style of escrima stick fighting but with fencing-styled weaponry or one of the blades can be shortened to act as a parrying dagger for a more sword-and-dagger approach to combat. The idea is also that neither blade would leave my hand in combat. No fancy blade throws. No flashy switching hands. Just pure and unrelenting dual-wielding fury.
My blades would also both be purple (to reduce the risk of an opponent being able to differentiate between each blade). The purple resonating with Mace Windu's approach to the force being aligned with the light side but not afraid to dip into the dark side methods without being consumed by it.

Honestly my ideal lightsaber would be something like:
A saber that has a guard, like a rapier Foil guard. The guard being part of the saber, like an exhaust port that goes down the guard, making bashes, parries, and protecting easier and deadlier. I would also like a dual phase capability. Meaning I would need 2 crystals. 1 for the blade, and (get this) the second one partially deactivated, waiting for its activation, when not active , it focuses on the guard part of the saber. And when activated, the guard would be vulnerable to strikes, breaking it and leaving my hands now vulnerable.
    Or another idea:
A saber that could split, like a trident, able to trap opponent blades and control them. The tip would be the area split, but by doing this the blade becomes weak. Able to be broken. (In this case, halfing the blades power; making it vulnerable while the crystal “recovered” for lack of a better term. If it is fully broken. The entire saber will essentially detonate. Having broken the crystal through pressure and stress.
    That’s all I got, hope I win!
    Edit. Grammar and extra detail.

I, for the longest time have sat on a few light sabre designs that I thought would be cool and not too far removed from the original functionality of classic light sabres. I do not write this in hopes of actually winning this competition, I merely do so because I really just want to splurge these ideas.
    Concept 1: The Speed Sabre
This lightsabre was specifically designed for use with Trakata in mind. A curved hilt, single bladed sabre, it differs from other sabres in the fact it is ignited by an index trigger as opposed to the more common thumb switch/button and only stays activated whilst the trigger is held or locked into activation. In this way, the user can change the activation status of the sabre much faster that other sabres, making it extremely difficult to fight against when combined with the dueling characteristics of a curved hilt sabre. My personal recommendation would be to duel-wield this sabre with a Form 2 base for greatest effect.
    Concept 2: Curved sabre
I know this seem impossible given how lightsabres work but hear me out on this one. By off setting the emitter to the magnetic containment field and making the necessary adjustments in part specifications, it would theoretically be possible to force the plasma to follow a curved trajectory. The side effect of this however will cause the leading edge to be more focused than the likely diffusion you'd get on the back. This effectively makes it "single edged" which has it's own weaknesses alongside the advantages of a curved blade. With this geometry, it would be possible to use curved sabre fighting styles like polish sabre which (due to the geometry of the blade) allows one to thrust around certain blocks and parries. This likely even gives way to completely new types of in-universe sabre combat that has yet to even be explored.
    Concept 3: Heart's bane
This sabre is likely to be the most deadly of the three concepts presented and a sabre only to be wielded by those with the express intention of killing their opponent. By altering the plasma emission speed and shape of the containment field, it would be possible to have a light sabre that focuses the majority of its plasma in the outer half of the blade, giving it a sort of "piercing" capability suited to the thrust. In addition the thinner density of the lower half would affect interaction between sabres in that region, possibly allowing a sabre "pass through" at that point. While this imposes greater danger to the wielder, it allow them to simply "swing through" a parry or block when wielded effectively, killing the opponent with the suspended blade.

The Saber could only be activated by the force as to stop thiefs or unexpirienced force users. The Second saber would include a a blaster module (like extras first saber). It would be an extendable and waterproof saber.
The Hilts would be smooth with gold plating. At the top it would thin out (similar to obi wan and Luke’s second ligthsaber), blending into a bronze colour. Ideal lightsaber:
I would have two sabers, one normal length, and one shoto in my off-hand, but they would both have thinner blades like in Rebels. They would also be able to work together as a dual-saber by latching them together, but the shoto would stay the same length. In the normal length saber, I would use the kyber crystal that burns cold to be able to inflict frostbite on my opponents. On the shoto I would use the ghost fire crystal in order to disorient my opponents. That way they would (literally) never see it coming. But, when attached to my main hand saber, the two would adopt the properties of each other’s crystals, making my lightsaber very devastating and hard to read. I would have the crystals be cracked in order to have the wild look. And they would be silver. The shoto only being visible when attached to the other, of course. The hilts would be very similar to Ashoka’s in rebels. Almost katana-like.

My ideal lightsabers would be ones that can be mounted onto gauntlets on the wrists and wielded like an arm-blade. They would require a button on a finger or the palm to activate (one that's pressure sensitive so it doesn't go off by accident), and the blades would effectively be lengthened, weaponized arms. This extends your reach, allowing you to force distance between yourself and your opponent, therefore making more reckless or aggressive attacks not only possible, but a must to end the fight. Perhaps, for the sake of adaptability, they have a small ejection feature that let you pop them off and use them as traditional lightsabers, but can be fastened back on at any time.

My ideal "lightsaber" is actually a lightsaber pike with a light blaster pistol integrated at the tip for surprise attacks and medium ranged fighting capabilities. The hilt design would be aesthetically simple but made of expensive materials such as Black Phrik and Chromium embellishment. I'm going to take inspiration from dark side warrior Warb Null in Legends and have the last section of my staff be a back up lightsaber. I'm not one to take caution lightly. Not all enemies will stay at a moderate distance for my pike to be most effective. My weapon is very disadvantageous if an opponent or enemies are located in cluttered or tight spaces like offices and hallways.
I've said all of this and didn't even describe the crystal/blade color and its properties.
I'd have 3 crystals in my pike's longer crystal chamber:
-1st is a haunted White Sapphire gemstone
    - 2nd is a Damind focusing crystal for a wider and longer blade
    - 3rd is a Rubat focusing crystal to define the blade's shape and sharpness.
These crystals in concert would give me a defined "phantom white" blade/spearhead that incessantly whispers while active and groans/shouts when making contact with an object.
For some lore aspect to this strange weapon, it exists to inspire fear and repentance in the presence of the mysterious and powerful leader of a dark side cult called "The Apostles of Onrai." Jar Kai by far. Not only is it playing highly on the two saber defensive and offensive maneuvers but at the highest level it allows for the incorporation of some force use, throwing lightsabers in the air, allowing for open hand force use. At the highest level of Jar Kai you’ll find the users are highly acrobatic which allows emergency use of releasing sabers in mid air and using force.

The idea i have for a lightsaber is one that houses two crystals. One yellow sentinel one. And a second one that changes the blade to purple when the lightsaber form i use changes to become more aggressive channeling the balance between my want for justice and my angrier tendencies. As for hilt it would be ornamental and have cherry blossom designs to match the wand i made for myself. It would not be humble I'd be closer to a grey jedi vigilante and my lightsaber would reflect this

The 2 blades would both be able to change length like vaders and could be made to curve like dookus but be able to go back to normal if i wanted. i also would have the color be silver and the hilts would be a combination of anakins, dookus, obi-wans, qui-gons, windus, and mauls.

My favorite saber is elegant. A longish white hilt, no weird bumps or buttons. just smooth and matte textured. silver curved lines run down the handle to the base. The saber emanating a black blade, but not shaped like the dark saber, just a regular looking lightsaber shape
Paired with a matte black saber with silver curved lines. Emanating a white blade. Can be used as duel light sabers or attach at the bottom for a saber staff of black and white fury. when connected, the lines of one hilt line up with the lines on the other, making the pairing look more seamless.
concept being the yin and yang of the force. Light side, and dark side, working together for your own goals.
With these sabers, I imagine it being used from a true hybrid master like Windu. a master of all 7 forms, and can switch between them as he sees fit, also going from one saber, to 2, to the staff interchangeably to have every possible advantage in all situations.

If I could have any lightsaber it would be be a double blade with a black blades with a red aura. It can also separate and be reconnected no matter where the other blade is at the push of a button, returning via electro magnet like technology, that way you can keep your focus on your current target without being distracted by returning your blade with the force. It also has knuckle guards that look like ones found on mandolorian vambraces/gauntlets, and when hit with something it causes a recoil, knocking the opponent back. Additionally, it has a blade length adjustment switch, going from standard length, to a short sword length for close quarters combat. It runs on 4 crystals so each blade is dual phase, should you ever need to fight underwater.

For the contest, My ideal lightsaber, hoping there's still time:
I always liked the defender hilt from the game Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy. I like the idea of a tapered hilt, since it naturally favors more elegant styled movements, like the Makashi form. I also think a curved hilt like Dooku's helps with that too. Nevertheless, I also want to be able to get some more forceful hits in.
So I'd like a tapered hilt saber. It shouldn't be an even taper; one side of the cylinder of the grip should be basically round like a normal saber, and then the other side should taper and become thinner until it hits the pommel. The tapered side would be for my fingers, while the more rounded side would fill my palm a bit more. The pommel on the back would be as wide as if there were no taper, and have a very very slight curve, down toward the taper, to serve as a finger stop for the grip. The emitter would not be curved, but run in alignment with the grip, straight. There be about 2" or so of cylindrical hilt before the emitter itself.
The grip would be very slightly longer than 1 hand. When using one-handed, I'd shift my hand back into the stop formed by the tapered grip and the pommel. When using with two hands, I'd be able to place the first fingers of my dominant hand on the short amount of hilt below the emitter, the lower fingers of my dominant hand and the first fingers of my second hand on the tapered grip, and the last fingers of my second hand against the pommel.
I'd have a yellow saber blade. I'd like the main color of the hilt to be black, with silver as secondary, and brass colored trim. The entire tapered section should be the black material, with decent texture for grip. The silver should be smoother and cover the rounded side of the grip for smoothness in the palm. It should also make several ridges over the tapered side, kinda like marking out finger groove boundaries.

My ideal lightsaber would be a saber staff that can be detached much like Cal Kestis' lightsaber at the end of "Jedi: Fallen Order". The reason why I like this style of lightsaber is because it gives me a variety for my fighting style. Plus I can choose to either fight with the longer hilt or stow the other saber as a backup (or to surprise my combatant).

    GASLIGHT SABERS
    Blade Style: Classic single-edged blade
    Dual wield
    Curved Hilt
Easily accessible trigger style on/off button on the front
Blade length modifier scroll wheel on the back, accessible via thumb
Bottom can open to release one of 6 gasses:
    - Flammable Gas (ignitable via blade)
    - Freezing Gas
    - Noxious Gas
    - Flash gas (when ignited, creates a blinding flash)
    - Smokescreen
    - Tear gas
Gas released can be selected via a scroll wheel
Guard on the front-top of the hilt
Crystal: Permafrost and Mantle of the Force
    Color: Orange
    Wielder
    Name: Zrorro’Idaoz’Oasti (Oidaozo)
    Race: Chiss
    Order: Legions of Letto
    Fighting Style: Jar Kai/Jakarta

I don’t know if I’d say this would be my ideal lightsaber but I think it would be something fun to master. A double bladed lightsaber with two curved ends making a shallow S curve. Each blade would be a dark shade of crimson due to the machiavellian nature of the blade. The hilt would be slightly longer closer to a staff to allow for grip changes to add flows similar to that of a scythe. To allow for better defense the hilt would need to be made of beskar or a similar resistant material to allow for better guarding between strikes and flows. Lastly the emitter again due to it’s force nature would have a haunting tone almost like a shriek with a viscous hum as it’s wielded. The flurries and flows would be like nothing else

My ideal lightsaber would be all about modality. Double bladed that can also detach into two separate sabers, and be ready to switch between using a single saber, dual wielding, or double-bladed based on whatever is most advantageous in the moment. On top of that, each saber would be able to switch separately between different lengths to likewise keep the opponent guessing. Color-wise, I could go a few ways. I'd love for a black/white combo for a cool unique look, but blue/green combo for the classic look would be cool too. I honestly love when someone uses two different colored sabers. Alternatively, if I had to use only one color for both blades, I'd actually go for pink or gold.

I've always agreed with Qui-Gon's general philosophy of surrendering to the will of the force rather than seeking to impose one's will, light or dark, on it. I think I'd study both forms III and VII, as they both seem to take a surrender to the force as it is to be effective.

My ideal light saber would be a lightsaber pike with a single yellow blade. The blade end could be separated from the rest of the staff and used as a shoto saber for close quarters combat or kept together for wide reaching attacks. I'd focus on form 6 mixing in elements of forms 4 and 5. When the saber is separated I could use a variation of Jar'kai by using the staff portion in my off hand to block and trip my opponent and attack with the shoto blade.

So my ideal lightsaber (this should be fun):
Handle; it would be like a thicker version of Ahsoka's grey lightsabers. It would have a slight curve, going inward, however the handle would be reversible, being able to be wielded like Dooku. There would also be a retractable guard on the back side, which would help when wielding the blade upside down. The guard would be triggered by button on the blade, and is the reason for the thicker blade.
Blade styles; each grip would be better for a different wielding style. The base grip would be best for form 3 and 5, while the turned grip good for 2, and the reverse grip would be best for 4.
Crystal; the crystal would most likely be a basic, common blue crystal. A good, reliable blade for a very complex handle.
This blade would be good for a multi specialist, not exactly form 6, but would require years of training to weild it effectively.

    My ideal lightsaber:
The hilt is a strange one, is the same width as usual but three times larger than a normal one, the pome is a ball with 5 spikes , similar to obi-wan's first lightsaber pome.
in the lower part there are some rubber stripes, as in anakins saber. one ingnition boton and the length changin one are just over the ruber and 5cm above starts a leather wrap that covers it until 2 small plates hide the ends of it.
This plates would end with the begining of another leather wrap that will also cover it until the 3 botons right below the edge. the emiter would be decorated with 4 small blades like malgus ones.
    now: the utility
The yellow blade that emerges from the emiter would be canaliced by a lorrdian gem as this configuration of the saber is meant for a defensive position.
The saber has hidden uses, when you press the boton in the lower part this first third would separate from the rest of the saber revealing a red blade produced by a kryat dragons pearl whose wielder had blead, the you could use it as 2 different lightsaber.
But wait, there's more. when pressing the third boton of the upper part and if the lower sable had been separated it would ignite a second blade coming from the original handle, this kyber would be an infected one as you could use the infection as a last resource.
The double bladed lightsaber could also divide if you want making then 3 normal lightsabers that could be weilded like traya does.
my sable is designed to make you able to adapt at any fighting style makin it the perfect lightsaber

my ideal lightsaber.. this is a toughy for me. through the years ive actually contemplated what ide want if i had a saber like that in the movies and well... heres the specks
it would have a grip style similar to obi-wan's first saber in episode 1. with the solid silver on one side but then the black grippy lines on the other. the pommel would be like lukes in return of the jedi. above the grip it would have an activator switch box similar to lukes in return of the jedi however the switch box instead of 1 rectangle button would hold 2 buttons. the emitter would look like someone took the emitter shroud off of yodas saber and just mirrored it. so basically 2 boxes with a V shape between them. inside the shrouds however there would be 2 saber emitter openings. reason? because the saber i wish to have would have 2 blades but both at the same end able to activate and deactivate independently of each other. hence the 2 buttons in the emitter box. the lower button being the primary activator and the upper being for the second hidden blade.
but yeah... thats my saber ^u^ i hope i explained it in a way people would understand XD

This is for the lightsaber contest my friend.
My saber would be based on a draconic theme. The saber itself would be black with gold inlay, around the emitter would be the words "the force shall set me free" in high sith written in kittat in the same gold inlay, with my sith name "Darth Azgorath the Monolith" sewn into a leather grip appearing to be dragons hide wrapped around the handle. It would be a cross guard lightsaber, each of the other 2 emitters having being the same shinny black as the rest with 5 golden rings (either solid or in the say sith language and writing representing or spelling out) the other 5 lines of the code. The pommel would be a octagonal peace of dragons horn with the end cap being the sith symbol used as my PFP. On the hilt the switch to power on the saber would be ver similar to the Kylo Ren Force FX black series original switch, being quit hidden at the top of the primary emitter, it would be the peace with "Force" written on it. Underneath the grip would be 7 peaces of thin deacon bone strips coming up from the pommel, these would be painted red to represent the blood of my enemies, each one representing a different age of the sith. Adas to the Jin Jedi, Paul to Ragnos, Hyperspace Hyperspace War, Rain of The Sith emperor, The brother hood of darkness, Bainite era, and the rule of one under Darth Krayt. In between would ones again be repeated the sith code line by line in the same language and alphabet. The clip to hang it off ones belt would be 2 dragon claws attached together at the tips with a pen going between them at their base attaching to paint between the hilt and the pommel. The way to access the crystal chamber would be by undoing the dragons leather wrap and pushing down on the panel in reading "peace is a lie" this would press in and a door would pop open, the leather grip acting as a locking mechanism. Inside would be a red crystal, or (if you want to follow cannon crystal lore) a bled Krayt dragon crystal along with a place for a screw driver to boost or lower the energy emitted output. To the left the plasma flow would be reduced allowing for a more stable blade until it shuts off, the right would make it less stable and more powerful looking like Kylo's until the blade shorts out. The overall casing itself would be made of black cortosis.
Now to get into the nitty gritty reality, the saber would have a special tool that came with it to allow you to unlock and unscrew the pommel to access the batter pack. The pommel itself would act as the a speaker with heavy souter connections to the main hilt, this would be large enough to give a slight rumble in the hand as it is being swung and the volume would increase with the blade intensity as well as a volume switch in the crystal chamber. The entire system would be rechargeable with a USB hidden under one of the bone segments that would simply pop off, I would say the one representing the bainite sith and it would come with 3 battery banks allowing you exchange them for longer sessions. The crystal would light up using a laser pointer diode and the crystal would be exchangeable similar to the Disney system. The blades would be the best you could offer.
But ya, that's my idea, my lightsaber.
Also, form 7. If i want to fight i want to win and i want you dead.

If I may, I would like to add that while the Strong and Fast styles were the forms utilised by Luke Skywalker’s New Jedi Order during its formative years, they were not actually created by the NJO.
To trace their true origins, one needs to go back a thousand years before the Battle of Yavin and read “The Rule of Two” manuscript written by Darth Bane. In it, Lord Bane streamlined the multiple forms used by the Jedi into two distinct styles: Strong style and Fast style. Strong style has its roots in pure Djem So techniques while Fast style appears to be based upon Ataru and Soresu with elements of Makashi.
A thousand years later, the servants of the Sith appear to be trained in these aggressive styles (in both canon and legends). In canon the Inquisitors either fight relying on speed and acrobatics (Fast style) or using brute strength (Strong style).
In legends former Dark Jedi Kam Solusar turned to the light side and joined with Luke Skywalker against the cloned emperor. As a member of the Dark Side Elite he was trained in lightsaber combat by either Darth Vader himself or another Dark Jedi trained by him, thus passing down generations of Sith lightsaber combat into the foundation styles of a New Jedi Order.
Tl;dr - Strong and Fast styles can trace their roots back to Darth Bane and are Sith styles in origin.
    Rule of Two Strong style:
    Djem So, Shien
    New Jedi Order Strong style:
    Djem So, Juyo, Shii-Cho, Makashi
    Rule of Two Fast style:
    Ataru, Soresu, Makashi
    New Jedi Order Fast style:
    Ataru, Soresu, Shien
As you can see while the core elements of Strong and Fast style remain the same, they have also evolved to include elements of other forms while the Jedi Order appeared to have stagnated and never really changed over the same thousand year history.

I’d prefer a leading edge rather than a column of energy both for my familiarity and lack thereof for people who have never fought against a leading edge. However, if I were to choose a “proper” lightsaber, I would want one with a slightly longer hilt to allow choice of single or double handed stance and a slightly longer blade to accentuate the effects of the hilt. A Blaze Orange kyber crystal to signify the mix of passion, focus, and a slight anger that is in the heart of any duelist. Only a single blade as a dual-sided saber can be more cumbersome and liability than asset.

I have studied Kendo and the way I fight is a cross between Form V, Form VII (both versions), and Form II with a bit of Form III. You might even say that my real life lightsaber form would be a unique style.
As for lightsabers, I would want my lightsaber to be made of phrik, a nearly indestructible metal compound, and would be all black in color. As a Sith Lord, I would mix my blood with it in order to deepen my connection with the lightsaber. The hilt would be 11” and would contain the a red Krayt Dragon Gem as the lightsaber crystal, one of the most power options. The bottom of the hilt would look similar to Darth Vader’s but the middle would connect a grip to the upper half of the lightsaber that would have a medium sized “lip” protruding from the mouth of the saber.

  • @chaosjimthevoidlord3762

Definitely dual wielding this thing, I want 2 of them.
I feel like my ideal lightsabers would have a slightly curved hilt, with a base material of beskar accented in a digital circuit like design with arcetron.
The crystal would definitely be exposed.
As for the blade, I’d go for a void black blade, one that sucks in light rather than emitting it.
It’s shape would be a bit flatter than a normal lightsaber, like an actual blade, and it’d look similar to half a halo plasma sword but more angular, it emits from the hilt like a normal lightsaber would, but part of the blade curves back over the hilt as a guard and then reconnects back up to the end of the blade in the rough shape of half a halo plasma sword.
Instead of a humming sound it makes a sound like low constant thunder and high voltage electricity, as it splits reality.
That’s basically my ideal “lightsaber” if it can be called that since it doesn’t emit light. Like I said, I’m duel wielding these things, simply because I want to.

My Ideal lightsaber is to have Exar Kun's hilt with all of the properties. The fact its steepness to the darkness can corrupt anyone who is near / wield the hilt; Forcing almost all Jedis to switch teammates. Jedi were forced to put it out of commission by pouring special nexus resin to neutralize the dark side, so nobody can discover it accidentally.
Also it was modified to a double lightsaber with each of its own crystal assembly with different power intensity, and blade lengths. (0.5 - 1.5 meters) My choice of crystals would be the Katak on one side as main blade, and the Ghostfire on the other emitter. With the power of draining life force without dueling is enough to have the opponent down for the count. While the ghostfire crystal properties is invisible, and silent it would be a matter of when the blade is activated, or not would be a vibe check.
With the blade of so much disrespectful properties would be snapping the opponents out of existence just emitting the blade. Just like turning one into a cold case until forgotten.

That was a thorough and well explained video on all the forms of lightsaber combat! The inclusion of some lesser known techniques was a welcome surprise.
Now, as for a lightsaber- I am particularly interested in the primary usage of Makashi and Shien/Djem So, and the secondary usage of Jar’Kai Tràkata (you will se why). Because Makashi is best used with curved lightsabers it is necessary for me to make a lightsaber that is moderately long-handled yet light, allowing me to make effective use of a secondary straight blade for form V. This may make it difficult to wield the lightsaber in a double-bladed manner, but not impossible, and it is well worth the trade-off when considering the ability to quickly switch between two noticeably different fighting styles. The unorthodox switching not only gives you opportunities to attack from unique angles, but also allows you to disrupt your opponent’s flow due them having to focus on you potentially switching blades and and styles on the fly. This also means in drawn out conflicts one could feint a switching of stances by activating the other blade only to continue to use your present stance, swap to a double-bladed fighting style (while although hard, an offset blade would make it more difficult to counter), or activate and deactivate your blade every few attacks by swapping rapidly in between stances (which would work best in form II due to form V being the more aggressive). This is why I said Tràkata was my secondary form as it comes naturally as a result of swapping between forms. This design would also allow for reverse blade usage as you can quickly alternate when you need to return back to more conventional methods of attack. The increased handle space also allows for more drastic leverage adjustments resulting in in quicker, more controlled attacks in form II or heavier, more leveraged attacks in form V. Of course you can also use Jar’Kai at any given moment to further disorient your enemy.
I would design my lightsaber to be made out of primarily Phrik with type 2 Cortosis (blade deactivating) as a secondary material. Cortosis would make it so an enemy who is attempting to disrupt your form-switch by attacking your weapon mid-stance-change, would instead deactivate their own lightsaber. This only works with a longer hilted lightsaber as your fingers are more likely to be removed with less handle space to work with, making this lightsaber technically a thin shield against energy weapons. The Cortosis would be embossed in a double-helix style from guard to guard ensuring that striking at any one angle wouldn’t result in contact with the lightsaber, because even if the blow doesn’t connect with you or damage the lightsaber it could still be enough of an impact to knock the saber out of your hands.
The guards would be circular like a katana guard with Cortosis bands around the outer layer of the guard to prevent any sort of slippage from an opponent’s lightsaber, not to mention if they hit the guard during a clash they lose any the ability to deflect your blows and all of their body momentum goes forward…towards your blade. Since form V is specialized in blaster deflection I would ensure that, if needed, I could alter the width, length, and intensity of the blade. The hilt would need to have 2 sets of controls regarding blade changes in the event one side stopped working or was disconnected. This however, means the lightsaber is capable of altering its dimensions to a much greater degree than that which is typically possible due to the potential to have 2 different blade sizes simultaneously active. The double helix style Cortosis allows the controls/activator to be embedded within the gaps between the helixes. The upper portion of guard where the blade emitter is would need to be slightly cone-shaped, expanding away from the hilt since the dimensional changes may start to wear away at or at least warp the emitter-guard at full power.
Now for the most important part: *The Crystals*
The crystals I would use are Kyber crystals since they are nearly impervious to damage and are canonically and legends-wise some of the most powerful and consistently useful crystals in all of Star Wars lore. Basic sure, but you can’t argue with the results. My main reason is actually due to structural integrity. Many crystals have been stated to be powerful, but also brittle, which may cause a failure if one tried to alter the current and refraction of the blade which could, at the very least destroy the internals of the lightsaber. I’m more of a balanced guy, but I am very practical, having watched your saber color video 👌🏼 (also quite enjoyable) I think a safe bet would be my crystal would turn yellow as a result.
P.S. I really do enjoy all of your Star Wars videos, you put so much time and effort in to them it’s amazing, most people can’t even tolerate editing a 20 minute video and you crank out videos like this constantly.

My ideal lightsaber would have a black hilt and white blade, it would have a split guard similar to Cal Kestis’ and Ahsoka Tano’s. It would also have an exposed kyber crystal, and the bottom would be shaped like Darth Vaders head.

my ideal lightsaber would be a curved hilt saber that is made of beskar, the kyber crystal would be yellow. The saber would be a little more like a shoto saber aswell, with it being smaller and so having less range but it is quicker and it has the benefit of throwing off enemies with the curved hilt. The end of the hilt would contain another kyber crystal, this would be used to ignite the end and turning off the other side automatically, confusing enemies and making them focus alot more on when I may switch blades instead of where I might hit them next.

My ideal lightsaber would probably be a double bladed one, with the capability of separating both blades, the hilt would be black, pretty long (even for dual-blade saber standards) and have a couple of zones that would offer protection on both ends, like handguards, they would be some sort of curved tubular metal pieces protruding from the farthest points of the hilt that could protect the hands without being too wide nor too lengthy, as to not interfere with the grip and hand movement (probably made out of beskar in Universe), and angled in a way that they would mostly stay out of the way of my hand, they would also help by adding different kinds of grips that I could use, as well as allowing me to grab the saber/sabers by the fingers if needed (maybe if I drop it or get disarmed, it could make for a quick recovery without having to use the force), and they would also be in opposite orientations so as to not be too obstructive from a specific side. In the middle of the hilt there would be some red-colored textured leather to help with the grip, and the ignition button/buttons would be golden and square in shape, each opposing the top of one of the handguards.
As for the blade/blades, I'd like to have some of those kyber crystals that can change color and size depending on the users alignment with the force at a particular time (the type that were introduced in Star Wars Visions), in order to reflect my current alignment at all times and maybe even give me some interesting combat options.
With all of these considerations I could wield my saber kind of like a big staff, with it being a bit longer than even other double bladed sabers, this combined with the ability to separate both blades would make for a versatile weapon which I could use as one big saber, or dual-wield two, and perhaps even use both hands for gripping one half if needed.
I would mostly train in dual-blade and dual-wielding forms for effectiveness, but it would also be a good idea to constantly train in a single-saber form like Soresu in order to be prepared for any situation in which I could lose one of the blades and still keep up my defense.

My ideal lightsaber would be a detachable double-bladed curved hilt saber, as the power of the double bladed saber would be a great addition to the gracefulness and dueling capabilities of curved hilts. I think a lava-orange crystal would be great to set it apart from the traditional green, red, or blue blades

If I were a jedi my two main forms would be forms 2 and 5. Form 2 would be my go to for 1 on 1 duels while in most other scenarios I'd form 5. My ideal Saber would have a slightly curved hilt to allow better use of form 2 but not enough to hinder my use of form 5. I would make sure that the hilt is very smooth to allow my Saber to easily flow around my hands. My blade would be purple because I feel like that is where my mindset would reside. If possible my hilt would be gold and black just to look cool.

I’d personally try to adopt a style that focused on forms 3 and 5 using a less orthodox saber. Implementing a split saber guard, angled up similar to the hilt of a claymore, and a detachable saber-resistant staff to effectively turn the weapon into a spear during duels would greatly enhance the already effective hybrid offense and defense of form 5. Form 3 would be emphasized during battles against blaster wielding opponents, removing the staff for better blade control and body coverage.
A personal deflector shield would also be a welcome addition while using the weapon as a spear, helping mitigate some of the longer weapon’s weakness in deflecting blaster fire.
Ultimately, the goal would simply be to remain alive. The one who lives wins.

my preferred lightsaber would have 2 separate “modes” dictated by a special button. when the button is pressed the hilt of my lightsaber would extend, turning it into a lightsaber-pike (and vice-versa). when in “standard” form, the hilt would be a normal width but when in pike-form, the hilt would get skinnier for a better grip (this is also due to how the extension mechanism works). it would also obviously be made out of lightsaber-resistant material so i could use it to block and parry strikes. the kyber crystal color would be a very pale yellow and preferably one more attuned to the force UNLESS i turned to the dark side in which case it would be a darker, more dull red than the usual crimson blade.
i would use a blend of forms 5 (djem-so) and 3 (soresu), with a larger focus on form 5. i would also incorporate force-based attacks into my fighting style much like form 6, utilizing telekinetic pulls, shoves, and attacks using objects in the area.

My ideal lightsaber: a hilt just long enough for my 2 hands to fit, but easily used with 1. It has a small dome like shape, like an upside down bowl, protecting my hands from the blade. It has a purple blade because its the best color and mace windu. Its length is just longer than the most common length for confusion, it measures about 3.3 feet. It is ignited by a small button towards the middle of the handle, but also a second button that drops down a trigger like mechanism, because surprise, surprise, it has a small blaster, that shoots out parallel to the blade, the exit point on the saber invisible to the eyes so anyone who doesn’t know will not see it coming. It also has a second blade on the end, ignited using a mechanism on the inside with the force. Its blade is like a like a cooking torch. Its small, 1-2 inches, for things like stabbing, undoing handcuffs, things where the full lightsaber is unnecessary, or would perhaps give away something to the enemy when in hiding. While the saber is off, it has the ability to become a full on rifle, with a telescoping barrel similar to real life toy lightsabers.
But, the most unique features to my lightsaber, when you turn it off, instead of disappearing top to bottom, it disappears bottom to top. And when you want to perhaps use the gun features, you can “break” the saber and rotate the rear end behind the trigger that pops out 90 degrees to have a gun like handle. It can still be ignited and fought with in this position, or used in the rifle configuration.
    That is my ideal saber.

Hey VF2 what's up! Keep up the awesome great content dude here's for the giveaway.
My ideal lightsaber would actually be two different parts. First I would have a normal straight handle with a permafrost crystal and an amplifying crystal for more power. The main blade would be just a normal straight blade but there would be two vents in either side of the handle that come out at a 45 degree angle and point away from away from the handle. The vents would probably be around an inch long with the actual blades being around 3 inches long. And they were put on afterwards by me and with scraps so it wasn't expertly done and so they would be kind of like in a weeve pattern that you could see through. The top of the blade would be slanted and have two little cuts in it exactly across from each other. The design of the handle would be round and kind of workshopy because when it was built I had limited parts so it is kind of a little random. After the top the vents would be there about an inch or so down. It would have a switch then instead of a button around the switch is smooth metal. After the switch would be metal ingraved with and grip and pattern made with a blow torch of sorts just small. On the handle there would be 3 wraps of beast hide spaced about an inch away from eachother and would start at the top of the handle. The end would round into a sharp point made out of a small bit of beskar like I said a little random. The metal would be all be somewhat higher quality because my family had a good bit of money however it would all still be the same color only aftermarket and from paint. These blades would be green repersentingredients my connection to the spiritual part of the force.
The second part would be a lightsaber gauntlet with two gold/yellow blades on the left and right side. The gauntlet would be very round and smooth with all the components being hidden inside. The gauntlet would cover all of my forearm and slide on and then be strapped on for securness. The straps would be made out of beasthide or other types of leather. The front end would end with a very round curve down and back would just be straight down. The top layer of metal would all just be on peice and would be colored either a weatherd black or dark gray. The top would have a plate of beskar on it so it's able to block other light sabers in a dule. The gauntlet would have no switch or button because I would just use the force to ignite them. The gold/yellow represents the high level of my force connection and the position of my family in the jedi order as we were previously jedi temple guards. So where each blade of the saber is projected is actually a half of a jedi temple guards saber. The two halfs are set in place inside the gauntlet. The saber was damaged in an explosion that happend in my house after a ship hit it. The saber was damaged in the middle and so it was split to two for usage. In the middle of the gauntlet it would also have a built in balster in the middle of the two blades. The blaster would utilize the two crystals of the sabers to amplify the shots. It would use gas cartridges that u insert from the back. The balster would be for tactical and ranged attacks like how Ezrans saber functions.

I'd like to see a saber combat form consisting of utilizing the force in minor ways. Like clinging to walls, and holding back strikes (like Vader did) but in a more rapid movement speed. Maybe incorporating the frowned upon glancing blows. A somewhat hybrid assassin combat form.

listening to this video really makes one appreciate the intricacies of combat in general, even beyond Star Wars. it even inspired the idea of a lightsaber i would love to have, since lightsabers are often linked to the user's history as much as the history of the galaxy at large. mixing the 3rd form's defensive style with the 5th form, Djem-so (not sure if i spelled it right, hope i did), and its powerful decisive strikes to end battles quickly, i would love to have a great lightsaber with an angled crossguard, making sure that not only would i be sufficiently kept at a safe distance in a one-on-one engagement but also able to execute a powerful and decisive blow easier. it would have a pink synthetic crystal, and thus a pink blade, with little room for special abilities, since i love the image of a large, imposing sword just waltzing into a battlefield and making a mess out of the enemies
love your videos, they always offer up such detail that it's not hard to make a headcannon every time

My ideal lightsaber would be two curved sabers that could join in the middle, forming a U shape. It would have a smooth 15 degrees angle, and one of the blades would be orange, the other onr being green. In the hilt, many "carvings" can be found, marking the battles I was in and givind the saber a bit more movement. It would also have and "extra blade" in the sabers, wich would form something like ezra's firts saber, though that protection woul also be made from plasma. When joint, a circle forms in the middle of the blades with about 5 cm diameter, half of it being in each saber. I would use forms 2 and 3, so I would change from speed atacking to emd the battle as quick as possible, but just after studying my oponent's fighting style.
