I have a JS60H, the big rear wheel version with the auto choke and briggs 6.75 hp. It's still a great mower, 20 years later.
I bought my JS60 in 1998 and it is still going strong. Great mower.
Built by Deere. Very similar deck design to their “Freedom 42” mulching mower. I had one like this that we bent the crankshaft as well and we ended up putting a Honda GCV 160 on it. Gave it to my brother around 10 years ago, he is still using it.

The jS61 is a self propelled single speed mower while the JS63 was self propelled with 3 speeds.

Just acquired a used one today needs motor but it's very heavy ,it fear wheel drive.
