  • WELCOME TO ANOTHER EPISODE OF PATTAY’S PERFORMANCE!
Today in the driveway we have this beautiful JOHN DEERE Lawn Mower…I got it on a pick. I went to buy a snowblower and I ended up buying the lawnmower as well as a pressure washer. If memory serves me correct all for $125 or $150. Everything was running as it should besides the pressure washer. Not everything you have to buy has to be project!

I have had a bunch of these some with bags, some with out, some with the zero turn front wheels. I would buy these all day long easy to sell. That bag system makes it look massive. Great Video.

My parents had a 2000 JS63C with the front caster wheels. I hated the mower so much going to it from a 14SB! I was 8 then and wanted my parents to fix our 14SB or get a JX75. The JS63C lasted only 8 years. Still have my Grandpa's 14SB though. It's 29 years old and still starts 1st pull!

The good ol Aluminum Deck! They were drive shaft driven too right? I always wanted one with a Kawi? Ironically I had an SB this year but it was a PUSH mower with Quantum on it. Sold it for $200…nice unit! Through the Mrs off bc it wasn’t green 🤣

Jason. John Deere products pretty much sell themselves much like any of the upper tier branded products do.
Speaking from my personal experience with John Deere; John Deere parts are usually very well supported and are available both from dealers and online if you are willing to pay the price. I had a left front wheel on my 165 John Deere lawn tractor that was full of rust pin holes in which the local John Deere dealer not only had in stock, But also had new bearings installed in the wheel and ready for the new tire with the exception of the valve stem.
Regarding the engine oil, I also suction out the engine oil with a 12 volt pump that I purchased off of eBay on my small engine stuff and have never had any problems. Even if all of the oil was not captured by the suction tube, Would it not be much better to open up the oil drain plug and not have the sudden gush of very hot engine oil if you were really concerned and wanted to make sure all of the oil was drained before adding new engine oil. The advantages far outweigh the disadvantages of suctioning out engine oil. The John Deere turned out really nice,Jason.

Interesting, I'm glad you like that pump. Do you have a link? It kind of looks like the 12V Performax (generic/store brand) they have at Menards for like $25. I may just buy that one. Btw the grinder is on sale for memorial day at HF.... Might have to pick one up for wire wheel duty.
Gotta remember that blade recondition trick before selling my smaller rider. Not going back from the Conquest with 54" (and snow plow capability, and towable leaf vac) to the Broadmoor with 38".

      1 With Wire

      1 back up 😂
I will get you a link to the exact pump I use.

      @@pattayperformance I meant pushrods, not valves. 🤣
Possibly. I recently acquired a 6HP Quantum XM from a snapper deck. I literally put gas in it and it started right up. doesn't knock, surge, smoke, backfire, or misfire. Date on it is 2000. The govenor cover is metal instead of plastic.
I'm pretty sure all flathead quantums are rated at 190cc. There was a lawsuit against Briggs.
