I just wanted to thank you, I am preparing to get into PE, and your videos have been both informative and encouraging, I suspect if I can fold origami, I shouldn't have too much trouble with PE.
I love to use these brass parts. The only problem is my eyes are going bad. Go figure after 60 years of building stuff my eyes are shot. I wish I knew how the pros build so fast? It takes me many months to do a serious model mad fun though.
Hi Mark - that's the engine extension boom from the Pilgrim Explorer photoetch set. BTW: twist is probably an unfortunate choice of words. There's no "twisting" involved, just folding along the fold lines.
I'm sorry for the late reply - your comment got lost in the shuffle. The wax tipped applicators can be found at MicroMark - www.micromark.com/Pic-n-Stick Alternatively, we carry our own Hold and Place Pencils that are far more cost effective - paragrafix.biz/product_detail.asp?MainCat=Tools&SubCat=blank&PPartNum=PT-WPW-2
Very good. I like the detail. I have an idea for a satellite that would be great for. And i understood there was no twisting. I was just quoting that so you'd know the part i was talking about. And also, it's not Mark. It's Bar here from SSM. Vipermark7 is just what i use as a username here and on GMail. But thanks a lot for the reply. I appreciate it.
I'm working on the script for the next video on annealing brass parts so that they're softer and will hold bends better over curved surfaces (as opposed to folding). I don't have an ETA, though.
God, I honestly hate photo etch parts, especially when they are retardedly tiny. An absolute pain to work with and killing the whole model building fun for me

Great tutorial friends... Maybe could i know what thickness your PE parts..?
However this guy is...he has a talent for making the process seem easy and natural...great video (and no, I'm not his Mom).
Thank you! I truly appreciate it.

Great video. Thanks for making it :) Useful information and I think photo-etch stops a lot of people in completing their kits. Kasper

I wish I saw this the first time I had to bend a PE part, but it worked okay, I used the butt end of an exacto knife, and also a flat screwdriver.
+PDK1100 That is really hardcore, thumbs up..!
Hey. At just past 2 mins, easy-fold is mentioned. Grab it, twist it, fold... and you're done. Can you tell me what that part is that is being twisted?
Hey! You mentioned a wax tip applicator, from where??
