    Why do you mix the shock with water in the bucket instead of just pouring the shock in the pool pool just wondering am I doing it wrong?

    • @VikingAquatics
      @VikingAquatics  Місяць тому +5

      Great question! You may get away with doing your way with white plaster pools but...you could stain badly pools that are gray, blue, black etc or those that were painted or liner pools. Mixing chlorine in bucket makes it work quicker and it is safer for pool surface finishes.Thanks for watching!

    Should I clear the pool to see the trash, or should I try to net it out before I clear it?

    • @VikingAquatics
      @VikingAquatics  2 місяці тому +2

      Remove as much trash/debris as possible during initial pool opening with net.All that trash not removed from the pool eats up your chlorine and keeps staining your pool plaster.Once you net out all the trash you possibly could, get your vacuum going.I hope that answers your question.Thanks for watching!

      @VikingAquatics  2 місяці тому

      Your questions is not specific enough to answer accurately but ...all pools need good filtration, ph adjusted and a lot of chlorine during first week after pool opening plus good vacuuming and brushing is essential. Pump needs to run 24/7 first week. Thanks for watching!

    • @Mofiac
      @Mofiac Місяць тому

      Start by cleaning, then get the alkilinity level adjusted, then pH and hardness, then, after shocking, get the cyanuric level adjusted and then keep chlorine levels adjusted. Depending on the type of filter, use deflocculent or clarifier for crystal clear water.

    • @J_S0711

    Maintaining a pool is a lot of work. We thoroughly enjoy using our pool over the summer. However, my husband does all the weekly maintenance and can drop
    $$$ easy on chemicals alone. Some days, it can take hours to get the pool “clean”. There are times he says he wants to pour cement in it and be done with it 😂 And if you have tall trees on your property 🙄 forget it…
