1 false ban is too many. Jagex, this needs to be priority #1. I don't like the idea of even having to think about possibly being banned while I log into my account. We pay too much and spend too much time on this game for ANYONE to get banned incorrectly.
Up until about 2 weeks ago I never had any issues with logging in and playing. I have 20,000+ hours on my main "Magic Tree" and received a false 2 day bot busting moderate and the appeal was denied. Now I'm logging in every day worried if this is going to happen again, if it does all my progress is down the drain. There's non existent customer support and everyone is beyond being skeptical when you bring up being false banned, they automatically put you in the same boat as those who try to abuse the system knowingly breaking the rules, as if there can't actually be legitimate players being falsely banned. But yeah before all of this I've heard of it, but now that I've been dealing with it first hand I truly see how horrific it is to get any type of resolution beyond their automated review system.

Not everyone is going to drop the mils needed to upgrade the arch light either considering the limited scope of use on it so the shards are still great
Id rather see an obsolete item retooled for qol purposes than just staying obsolete personally. Say being able to use a shards for slayer timesaves like using on a cave entrance to get right to say dark beasts, kurasks, abby demons or something. Not the most useful example but reusing it for nice QOL slayer perks makes sense to me.
Agreed, just because it becomes obsolete for a late/end game player, doesn't make it useless for the other 80% of playerbase. Not every item needs to be usefull to every account at every level of gameplay 24/7, achieve it's purpose, boom now you save a bank slot because you don't need that item anymore.

Arclight was updated along with the release of the ember light, once you charge your arclight one time you never have to charge it again. For that reason I actually went with the scorching bow with my first synapse drop, and used that two styles demon bane to go to demonic gorillas and get my first zenyte. All very poggers stuff.
6x Crystal Armour seeds + 15x Ancient shards + 15x Runite Bars + 15x Ensouled Demon heads = Demonbane Armour (Helm/Body/Legs) Gives more accuracy to your Demonbane weaponry & spells by +5% per pieces and +15% for full set and using Ward of Arceuus while wearing the full set increases the damage block reduction from +10% to +15% when fighting demons. Finishing Hard Karamja diary allows you to wear the Slayer Helmet instead of the Demonbane helm to count as a set.
damn had me tearing up for the guy getting 99 mining. I know people who have gotten TBI, most were combat related, but seeing people still be so happy after such a drastic change to your life's situation just makes me so internally happy.

Possible idea for Ancient Shards: Create something similar to the 'slayer rewards shop', where you can offer up your ancient shards to the Dark Alter for benefits within the Catacombs. Things like; - Prayer drains at a slower rate - Monsters remain permanently aggressive upon unlock - Arclight BIS for Skotizo - ?? Thoughts
I'd love to be able to use ancient shards to make ancient brews. But if ancient shards are not the zaros kind of ancient and it doesn't make sense for them to be used for ancient brews then I would like them to be renamed so it's clearer that ancient brews and shards are not the same kind of ancient.
Allow us to super charge totems with ancient shards making skot harder, but with better loot and unique chance. The ammount of shards used per totem could determine how buffed he gets ect. Up to like maybe 10 shards(work in progress) Some ideas I have are: Has more hp Deals more dmg Spawns different attack style minions so u need to kill them The totems in the 4 walls you have to kill to weaken skot can either be perma active or activate faster. Maybe play around with danger tiles on the floor. A new special attack in which all totems activate at once and he starts charging. When he completes his charge any remaining totems deal 25% of ur max hp(all 4 alive means you die.) During this special, totems cannot reactivate and any totems active at the time of his attack will become permanently disabled (for the single fight) Rewards for hard skot could be: 100% chance at both hard and elite clues X% chance at master clue 100% chance for 1-3totem pieces Increased ancient shards Unique rewards like pet/jar have greatly better rates(idk current or what would be good for a proposed drop rate) Normal loot 50-100% better. A new tradable drop: clue scroll box (Personally, I'd rather clue stacking be base game but, if this is how we have to do it to get it I'll accept) Holds 5-15 of each clue or holds 30-90 total clues Since the base version of this boss is very often used for hard/elite clues having a clue stacking item come from a super skot makes sense to me. I want it to be tradable because a lot of people don't care about clues and would want to just sell it, while another lot of people do like clues and would want to buy it. I don't think it should be terribly rare but since I'm not sure about how the rates would increase as more shards are added I'll leave that to the jmods assuming my post gets traction here.
If Jagex don’t want to employ humans to manually review all auto bans then auto bans need to be automatically appealable. The problem is it’s a super faulty auto detect system followed by the bans being UNAPPEALABLE. If you’re paying a subscription to a game you should definitely be given a chance to explain yourself if someone ACCUSES you of something worthy of a ban…
My heart hurts for the him and I’m so glad he got 99 mining! Such a great achievement. We honestly don’t know how lucky we are. TBI’s traumatic brain injuries are so common any of us can get them any day. So unfortunate for such a good kind soul to get one. Praying for a full recovery!
Allow people to exchange ancient shards for some type of bonus while in the catacombs. Extra xp for kills or better drop rates for clues for a duration or something similar.

I got an idea: make the ancient shards currency for slayer unlocks in the catacombs. Like a one time fees to be able to use the cannon, or maybe deposit boxes so you don’t have to leave to bank, better shortcuts. Stuff like that.
What if we used the ancient shards to buff/make the ancient staff better. Make it better in pvp and for barraging task, nothing crazy but an option to charge the ancient staff for boosted effects.

Just make the shards a two-click consumable teleport to all corners of the cave. No one really uses them to move around inside the cave anyways, so that way they're actually saving you some time on slayer trips
Hard to say they are useless if you’re an Ironman. Demonbane weapons aren’t that easily accessed. Arclight is still very useful and valuable until you can complete WGS and get the drop. Also, picking a single item in the game and calling it useless because there is something better kinda defeats any purpose of progression in an account. With that mindset there’s a bunch of “useless” stuff in the game.

Would be cool if they could add shards to make kourend teleports on poh Nexus or something with the use of ancient shards in there, could also be used to make a New poh floor recolor, or construction in general. There are Many things missing in poh: Wish they also added the missing poh Nexus teleports AND other nieche teleports that waste bank space like pharaoh scepter (waste of bank space), necklaces of passage, quetzal teleport, maybe a wilderness teleport área for burning amulet teleports, dorgeshkan AND goblin village teleports, lyre, máster scroll book teleports(you could build all your scroolls into a constuction book stand allowing you to use them from there AND taking them out if needed or permanent unlocks after X scrolls used with some runes like nexus), plain of mud Sphere teleport, ring of returning spawn teleport (Niche one but still) , ring of elements, rum(blue/red) , skull scepter, AND a volcanic mine teleports... Those are the only ones i could think without AFFECTING CAs AND Diaries.

i think a good use for ancient shards would to also be used to access skotizo for a fight. could use like 10-25 shards every fight that way it doesnt make totems useless.
Weapons being charged items is fine for the most part, but some armour degrading and some not is fucking stupid. Especially the moon armour sets, they cost SO MUCH to repair its absurd.

You still need 10k charges in your arc light to make emberlight. Or have it fully infused which still takes 10k charges worth of uses.

i think a good use for ancient shards would to also be used to access skotizo for a fight. could use like 10-25 shards every fight that way it doesnt make totems useless.
I got idea for ancient shards be able to trim rune armor to ancient rune
Weapons being charged items is fine for the most part, but some armour degrading and some not is fucking stupid. Especially the moon armour sets, they cost SO MUCH to repair its absurd.
So now we can get banned for playing too much? They think were botting if we spend too much time grinding? Wtf is going on here this is scary. But some how actual bots make it to the top of the high scores. This is sad
If you get banned for botting even though you're playing the account legit maybe it's time to get a job
I think the shards should be able to be converted into tótem pieces
Or full tótems for extra chances at the skotos pet

Both bolt tips and arrow heads from ancient shards make the arrows equivalent to rune arrows idk what tier the bolts should be in
The shards have a use? Charging arclight. Surely Arclight is just mid game now so you’ll still need charges for it.

I'd love the ability to turn the shards and totem pieces or full ones in for xp books/lamps... or even for gems with say, 1/800 chance for onyx when trading them in.
Ancient shards gamble for totem pieces and rarely an imbued heart.
