Right off the bat, Theatre of Blood is the 2nd OSRS's raid. Very neat concept making videos of lore for some of the most popular content in game. Cool video, best of luck if you decide to make more in the future.
Thanks for pointing that out :0 There a few errors in this video, and moreso, omissions of details. I learned a lot about the process of researching and creating one of these videos and can guarantee the next one will be a bit more vetted. For now, everyone can add to this thread with all the cool stuff I missed :P
runescape has some crazy lore, its honestly amazing it makes me regret not reading diaries or following quests. but when its actually time for a quest i usually only do them for the new bosses etc so i still just speed through :/
The Maiden's lore is depressing as shit. Serafina's brother got deathly sick by getting stabbed by a poisoned blade, and she went to Ranis in desperation to save his life, willingly allowing him to experiment on her as the caveat for Ranis' "help". Unfortunately for her, Ranis is one sick motherfucker, and he turned her into the Maiden by injecting Hespori seeds into her brain and spinal column or something like that, wiping everything that made her Serafina completely away, then he turns her brother into some sort of bloodhound zombie abomination thing. Then the kicker is that the Vampyres use Serafina's name as a Hope Spot, saying she went through the Theatre and lived, so more people would go into the Theatre and turn into Dark Beast poop.
Dude, this is seriously really good. The storytelling element of OSRS videos is a major element of enjoyment for me. I really dig that you leaned into it so fully. Checking out the Verzik one now. Cheers and God bless.
Bro this is phenomenal! Thanks for putting this out. OSRS lore is the most underappreciated part of the game. I really urge everyone to read the quest dialogues and follow the storylines. It's quite sad that feedback on new content always surrounds the PvM part, overshadowing the effort the content developers put in to make a whole game on all aspects. . I rememeber back in rs2 when i did the goblin quest line (it has one additional quest). It was such great fun. Afterwards I didn't quite know what to do, I just wanted the story to continue. The same goes for the vampire quest line in OSRS. I tried to follow the story, questing mostly unguided. It took some time, but afterwards I wished it would last longer. Truly good content.
@@pootis5938 lol if you check out some of my other videos, getting the correct music volume has been a process 😭 Funny someone actually mentioned it because I’ve been trying to find the sweet spot
I never see videos on Runescape lore and I have never played the game myself - it seems intresting. I must ask though, do RS3 and OSRS have different lore?
Great question. They do technically have different lore. There is a lot of overlap in the story, primarily when it comes to ancient things, but as the story is developing, osrs is heading in a different direction for most storylines. RS3 lore is more grandiose and episodic, whereas it seems OSRS is focused on maintaining a grounded approach to the world.
they do! RS3 and OSRS have different lore entirely, the biggest thing OSRS wont do compared to its modern version is to not move into the 6th Age, which started via gods coming back to walk on the same ground as everyone, (alottt more happened for that to happen, but those are crazy huge spoilers) The OSRS and RS3 questlines are completely different aswell, though they both have the same starting point, at some point, they fork onto completely different directions (the biggest example is the city of Menaphite, a gigantic city in the desert, the city also exists in OSRS, but you cant actually see it cause they haven’t added the city in that version yet)
