Too bad the nighttime version of TPIR didn't last. I remember when it was on; I liked it because I didn't get to see the Bob Barker version very often because I had to be in school. I guess people liked Bob Barker better! I guess the women didn't want to jump on him the way they did Barker or Tom didn't want them doing that!
I remember it was on at 7:30pm and Jeopardy! was on at 5pm. I'm not sure, but I've heard the reason why Jeopardy! was changed to 7:30 is because people were getting off from work at 5pm and didn't want to miss Jeopardy!

I knew there was a reason I felt something was wrong... Now I know. I literally just learned of this from the title. 💔

I am ashamed to say that I am the biggest “The Price Is Right” fan since childhood (I’m 35 now) yet I NEVER knew there was a different host for the nighttime version of the show. More proof that Drew Carey is a far cry from the best host of the show. Now I’m going to look up all the versions with Tom Kennedy as the host...sad that I’d never heard of him until after his passing.

Does anyone know the name of the music cue that was played at the introduction of the Safe Crackers game?

I don't know, but the original music cue was "The Pink Panther Theme" by Henry Mancini.

Not sure of the title but it was used in 1992 immediately after Henry Mancini's "Pink Panther" was retired from the game.

Tom Kennedy was never as crazy as Bob Barker was on The Price is Right and when the contestant loses the pricing game, Tom always tells them that you gave it a good try.
