Dennis James had so much class, style and just like Bob Barker he was also a great TV game show host in his own kind, as well.

It's really nice to be able to watch Dennis James do his thing on The Price is Right and also just want to say it's really nice to be able to watch everything that you guys are uploading. It's really nice to know that he was so diligent about preserving the things that he did on television in his own archive. collection

Very kind of you! Obviously his work from the 1940's, 50's and 60's is much harder to find preserved, but we do have a treasure trove of items from his work in the 1970's, 80's and 90's….. Just a question of getting it all transferred to an uploadable format.

@@dennisjames7576 How much of the Price series do you have? There's a fair bit out there around, but a lot that isn't or only existed in audio form before. Do you have most/if not all of it? Thanks for putting up what you have btw, it's nice to see it. :)

It's great to see past episodes of the price is right. Seeing old commercials is great. You don't see to many 7-Elevens any more. That trip to Quebec City brought back memories. I have been there a couple of times. Thanks for posting. Still is a great game show today 👍.

Notice that the set had already changed from the 1972 earth tone yellow, orange and brown color scheme to the brighter orange, green and pink. However, this episode still had the original orange bidding machines with popcorn light numbers and the winning bid lighting up the TPIR flower, which was a homage to the original version with Bill Cullen. Several weeks later, they gave way to the green bidding machines with squared numbers and each player's screen a different color: red, orange, green and blue. Though now LED, the bidding machines still look similar to this day.

Notice they did start doing green on the sides of the read outs for contestants row; makes me wonder if they debated on keeping the original read outs.

Now there's something you don't see too much of, TPIR set in the middle of making the transition from their three year old psychedelic brown set to their more common rainbow display that would remain for decades. Notice the quad brown eggcrate display monitors on contestant's row still in use as oppposed to the later-day popular rainbow colored "sportstype" display ones for example.
