    Another tip you could tell them would be getting into the habit of aiming at peoples feet at medium/long range when using weapons like the AEK/ACW/MTAR/FAMAS so the recoil will carry it up their body to their head instead of aiming mid body and having half your shots miss because the recoil carried it up and over their head. Also, switching to pistol when you're laying down and hitting your button to switch to your primary at the same time you hit the button to stand so it cancels the animation where he puts his hand on the ground and it's all wobbly for a second so as soon as you're up you're on target instead of having to wait and then adjust your aim b/c the animation of him standing up threw your aim off.

    Good advice. A lot of practice helps as well. Also, your mental state will effect your aim as well. If you are tired it will usually adversely effect your aim. That has been my experience. If I feel fresh I will be more accurate.

    On PC having a low sensitivity doesn't really effect my ability to cover multiple areas because you can move your mouse incredibly fast anyway. I've never felt like I couldn't turn on someone or turn to a target fast enough
    On console though.. you kinda need it to be relatively high at least because there's a baseline for how fast you can actually turn

    One thing about my key bindings that I recently changed and it helped me was that I used to have the mouse scroll wheel for gadget 1/2, I recently stopped using this because I felt it was far too sensitive, now I use 3/4 on the keyboard and it's way better imo

    • @PICK_SIX

      Yeah, I stopped using the scroll for the exact same reason. I'd overshoot the piece of equipment I actually wanted. I use the 3 key and click the middle mouse for ammo boxes or medic bags.

    You can adjust just fine with a low sensitivity, even if someone pops up 180 degrees in the other direction from where you are looking at. It just takes getting used to, that's all. 400dpi and 9% sensitivity ingame.

    • @PICK_SIX
      @PICK_SIX  10 років тому +1

      Absolutely. I don't doubt that. It just isn't my preference and I've seen too many examples of people saying it's impossible to play on a high sensitivity. I don't subscribe to that mentality.

    My only issue so far is everything he is saying is spot on, albeit he hasn't mentioned that everything he's said is worthless when you're actually fully suppressed, it's been the bane of dice since bf3. The over used suppression system leaves you powerless at any range. You could be kissing your enemy and a mag dump wouldn't hit him once.

    I also have my in game sensitivity at 20% for both. I have three settings for my mouse though for 3 different types of game play.
    800 dpi - long range sniper
    2000 dpi - Standard In Game Infantry
    4,000 dpi - Secondary Gunner. I find the quicker movements are very beneficial when needing to whip around 180 degrees quickly.
    I still suck at BF4 though and my highest kill rate is only 15 I think....so there ya go.

      It's a huge DPI for infantry, like you're just moving the mouse for a cm and you're doing 360 like crazy, tone down a lil bit, it'll really help

    • @fourjay4793
      @fourjay4793 4 роки тому

      It's not good to change your sensitivity so often. Muscle memory is a real thing. You also don't wanna go over 3200dpi because every sensor after that point uses interpolation to create the desired value, so your sensor is now inaccurate. First you wanna set your mouse sensitivity to a multiple of the factory value. So if your mouse came at 1600dpi you want to use 400/800/1600/3200. If your mouse came at 500dpi stick to 500/1000/2000. The best range would be between 800-1600 as there is no pixel skipping whatsoever, it's comfortable to use on the desktop and it's low enough for you to have a good sensitivity range in any game. The next thing would be to set your sensitivity to whole mousepad to 360° and play with it for at least a week. Learn it and see how you like it. If you notice a massive increase in performance and precision then decrease by 3% every 2 hours and adjust as needed until you hit the sweet spot. Of course, if you feel like your movement becomes utter trash and you feel super uncomfortable then double your sensitivity to whole mousepad as a 720° turn and adjust from there. It's best to try out EVERYTHING so you can truly find out what's good for you. I personally play at a ~35cm/360 in every game (~15% 400dpi in BF4) and so do many high level players like Shroud. Also, make sure you use uniform soldier aiming, many people will say that it's preference but if you are inexperienced with aiming then uniform soldier aiming will basically transfer your muscle memory to your ADS sens for a certain percentage of the screen. The 3 most popular coefficient options are 0%, 133%, and 177%. 0% will give you great precision at the crosshair and as a result make your recoil control near perfect. Do NOT use 0% if your sensitivity is low (50cm/360° or lower). 133% is a nice middle ground, fairly accurate at both the crosshair and edge of the screen, it's also very popular as many popular old titles (such as CS) use this method for all their scopes, so maybe you will naturally be comfortable with it. The final option is 177%, this makes your sensitivity accurate at the edge of your screen which makes flicks better. It's common to use such a method in games like Rainbow Six Siege as flicking heads will help you majorly (although, you do NOT need good aim to be good at Siege). I personally only recommend this method if you don't find 0% or 133% comfortable.
      So yeah, TL;DR - Try sticking between 20cm/360°-50cm/360°. Spend at least a week each time you switch majorly. Keep the same sens no matter the situation or game.

    I played BF3 on the X360 and PS3 and had 70% sensitivity, and I had about an overall accuracy of about 19%
    Now on BF4 on the PS4 I lowered my sensitivity to 35-40. Somehow I can't hit anything with higher sensitivity...PS my accuracy is now 9% (but that's vehicle included)

    • @PICK_SIX
      @PICK_SIX  8 років тому

      You have much more versatility and easy access options if you buy a mouse that allows you to change your DPI, (dots per inch, or how sensitive you want your hand movements to be reflected on the screen) and having side buttons allows for the quick change of equipment and weapons via mouse instead of keyboard.
      It isn't needed, but a good mouse will help you in more ways than you can count.

      While you have your 3 button mouse, bind primary weapon to mouse wheel up, secondary to mouse wheel down, primary equipment to middle click, secondary equipment to Alt (careful not to enable some button combinations with Alt). My grenade is set to X. And I have a gaming mouse, too, but I use the extra buttons for vehicle and other, less urgent controls - switching to gunner seat, minimap, etc

    I disagree with the high sensitivity. Thing is, if you play an FPS you should have a bigger mpuse pad. By your opinion on this is think you play with your wrist ONLY. In that case yes, you can do a 360. But, if you use a combination of Wrist + Arm you can move fast and also have a pixel perfect aim. I used to love high sens but, i found my middle ground, slow enough to aim to the head and high enough to flick my mouse

      At the time I posted this, you were right. I've since lowered my dpi to 800. I still feel everyone should explore both low and high when they're first starting out (subjectivity is key) and make a decision from there.

    • @10PKOR24
      @10PKOR24 8 років тому

      Yeah, true, but usually people will tendo to go lower (not, extreeemely low) but, they will start to see that they can do a 720 while still having low enough sens (I personally use 800 dpi, and at least in CS i use 1.30) which is pretty high considering how precise you need to be in cs.
